RE: [SOGo] ActiveSync Error

2024-01-31 Thread "Michael Callum Mayaka"

Hi,

As long as you have the sogo-activesync package installed ActiveSync should
work.  You need to use https://yourdomain.com/SOGo (or whatever your webmail
link is) for the ActiveSync URL, I don't believe you can do this on the
Microsoft Online tool (but I've not checked), so I'd recommend using a physical
(or virtual) mobile device for testing ActiveSync.

Hi Sebastien,

Not sure if it is fixed there, but was assuming as the bug is completely
identical to what I faced beginning with the earliest Sonoma betas.
Unfortunately in my setup, I cannot easily switch to nightly build and bug to
try out. Looking forward to the release and will immediately report!

Thanks a lot for the good work

thanks for the reply. Are you considering optional activation for

[SOGo] Calendar Invitation response handling

2021-05-11 Thread Michael Krecek
Hi everyone,

I am using Sogo with Mailcow as an Exchange and Google Mail/Calendar
replacement.

Issue: Even though the integration with EAS and mail and calendar clients is
already good, I have severe issues with some clients (eg Apple Mail/Calendar).

Issue: Reponses to calendar invites (accept/decline)are only reflected properly
in the calendar if the client of the organizer is fully supporting Caldav:
Apple Mail does not work at all
- updating participant confirmation or decline
- incoming invitations are not processed properly, you cannot accept or decline.

what would be needed:
- Sogo should in the backend automatically process these enails and update the
calendar entries - independent of the email client.
- Microsoft Exchange does it this way and it works perfect, Google Mail does
this also - by that meeting organization work perfect also across external
programs/ other servers. Once processed, email is automatically deleted,
invitations are shown in calendar an can be accepted there.

I would be happy to help incorporating that feature - if there are others
interested or there are ides where / how to start, that would be welcome.

I would suggest a cron job in sogo tools similar to the Autoreply script to
regularly process all incoming ics / vcalendar emails.

Let me know - would love to make Sogo a full-fledged replacement for Exchange
and Google with the same broader compatibility to work for collaboration in
business.

Cheers
Michael

Maybe it is easier to replace the oldname in the dumpfile before
importing it rather than setting up DNS?

Something like:
sed -e 's/oldname/newname/g' dump.sql

When dumping your database with mysqldump then there is no hostname of
the database server in the dump because the hostname is set when
mysqldump establishes the connecion, e.g. `mysqldump -h hostname dbname`

So you are safe to import this dumpfile on another host.

The Sogo config part is

The same error appears when I try to connect my Calender with Calendly
(https://calendly.com) - an webapp that can be be used in Wordpress to

So I activated debugging in the Sogo-Conf:

And the only error when I tried to connect to Sogo with Calendly was
this line in the sogo-log:

And as i mentioned in the nginx-log this one:

Thx for any help.

[SOGo] Second Mail-Account within SoGo

2020-02-27 Thread Michael Lehner

Hey there,

is it possible to call two different mail-accounts within SoGo?

In the configuration of the user under Configuration/Settings => Mail
=>IMAP-Accounts it is only possible to change some settings of the
logged in account, but no feature to add another account that should
appear within SoGo.

I already checked the Installation and Config guide on the wiki of
SoGo: https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstalla … iguration.

But I did not find any solution.

Is it possible after all to call two different mail-accounts within
one instance of SoGo like in e.g. Horde? I used Horde for a long time,
but the user interface is so outdated that I switched to iRedMail with
SoGo as a whole.

Any help is appreciated on that.

Thx and Greets mike

[SOGo] SOGo multi-domains mysql with c_uid = mail -> address books / calendars use user@domain@domain

2019-04-12 Thread Michael Schler
Hello!

I've set up SOGo with sql authentification vs an existing mail server
(MySQL).

This works for SOGo login and Imap quite well. But when I want to grant
access rights to address books / calendars to a different user the
system queries for users like user@domain@domain. Which of course does
not work and an error message "no users found" pops up.

from the logs
a) SOGo login
SQL: SELECT c_password FROM sogo_test_de WHERE c_uid = 'us...@test.de';
-> success
b) get user data
SQL: SELECT * FROM sogo_test_de WHERE (c_domain = 'test.de') AND ((c_uid
= 'us...@test.de') OR (mail = 'us...@test.de'));
-> success
c) find the other user for granting access
SQL: SELECT * FROM sogo_test_de WHERE (LOWER(c_cn) LIKE '%user2%' OR
LOWER(mail) LIKE '%user2%') AND (c_domain = 'test.de');
-> succcess
d) a query when saving the access rights
SQL: SELECT * FROM sogo_test_de WHERE (c_domain = 'test.de') AND ((c_uid
= 'us...@test.de@test.de') OR (mail = 'us...@test.de@test.de'));
-> failure

my sogo.conf (excerpts)

  SOGoForceExternalLoginWithEmail = YES;
  SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID = YES;

   test.de = {
SOGoMailDomain = test.de;
SOGoSuperUsernames = ("us...@test.de"); // This is an array
- keep the parens!
SOGoUserSources = (
{
type = sql;
id = "sogo_test_de";
viewURL =
"mysql://sogo:secret@localhost:3306/mail/sogo_test_de";
DomainFieldName = "c_domain";
canAuthenticate = YES;
isAddressBook = NO;
userPasswordAlgorithm = sha512;
}
)
}

I've tried quite a number of further variants but have not found yet a
way to enable login with the complete mail address (user@domain) without
getting problems with the address books / calendars permissions (due
user@domain@domain lookups).

Regards,

Michael

Re: [SOGo] AD LDAP SOGoUserSources

2019-01-25 Thread Michael Hekeler
its always easier to brak a complex problem down into small parts.
For AD auth with sogo I would suggest to install some ldap command
line client and test if I can access ldap first.

And if this is working then in the next step configure sogo with
the same auth params.

This might be a bug in SOGo, as the header is encoded twice with the

As a result, the email client displays the "To" field decoded once,
which left an encoded header.

This is only happening when the reminders are sent, not when an event is
created.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo Login problem

2018-10-24 Thread Michael Hekeler
Hi,

because your user is able to login into the sogo server, I would assume that
your problem is that your webserver is not cofigured correctly and sends
wrong/insufficient headers.
Please check.
Do you have an apache server proxying? nginx?

[SOGo] Who is using SOGo?

Hello list,

I found SOGo, tested it and like it.
I want to deploy SOGo in our company.
I'm looking for some resources/papers/website/... with lists like "who
is using SOgo?" I mean which companies/organization/communities uses
SOGo.
I need that to show my boss that "serious organizations" rely on SOGo...

Can someone help me?

Thanks a lot for your help with this. It is now fixed although I am

Thanks again.

[SOGo] Unknown column 'c_hascertificate' in 'field list'

2018-01-07 Thread Michael Doerner | Technologywise
Hi all

I have just updated our SOGo to the very latest SOGo nightly build (for
CentOS6), 3.2.10.20180107, hoping to fix a problem that must have
started recently but I am unsure when exactly.

When trying to look at the address book in the SOGo web interface
(tested with various users), the screen will show you the total amount
of contacts but underneath, where the list of contacts should be seen,
it looks like it is trying to refresh but not been able to show any entry.

The SOGo log shows the following:

Jan 08 09:47:03 sogod [3637]: [ERROR] <0x0x7fa98f65f468[GCSFolder]>
-[GCSFolder fetchFields:fetchSpecification:ignoreDeleted:]: cannot
execute quick-fetch SQL 'SELECT c_name, c_cn, c_givenname, c_sn,
c_screenname, c_o, c_mail, c_telephonenumber, c_categories, c_component,
c_hascertificate FROM
. (cut)...
ExecutionFailed REASON:Unknown column 'c_hascertificate' in 'field list'

We have not in any way tried to do something manually with the MySQL
database so I wonder what might be the reason for this?

Any idea or help?

Thanks, Michael

[SOGo] Sogo crashes after upgrade: Problems with locales?

2017-09-14 Thread Michael Schwartzkopff
Hi,

we did an upgrade on our system and sogo started to crash. Entering the
main URL, sogo shows a blank screen. The log says:

Restarting sogod solves the problem for about 5 minutes. I tried to find
a solution on the internet, but I did not find anything that fits our
problem.

Our sogo version is 3.2.10.

Any ideas?

[SOGo] Trying to remove a task's Start (From) or Due date

2017-05-28 Thread Michael Doerner - Technologywise
Hi all

using SOGo 3.2.9 (201705140155). When trying to remove either a due date
for a task or its start date through the web gui, the field is removed
but the "save" button stays light grey hence I cannot save the change.

I can achieve however the result that I need (to remove a date) with a
little trick: First I make a change to the date (i.e.e change it one
hour or one day), that will activate the "change" button. Rather making
that change, I then can remove the date and the change button will stay
active and then I can click the change button and SOGo accepts that
change (remove of date).

Am I doing something wrong?

AW: [SOGo] 3.0.3, when?

2016-05-03 Thread "Kreger, Michael"
Hi everyone,

are there any good news about the release date of SOGo 3.0.3?

I had to set up a new server after a crash. I chose the new Ubuntu Version
(16.04) and had to recognise that SOGo 3.0.2 is not available for xenial. I had
installed the Version 3.0.2 on my old trusty Server.

Should I wait a few days or should I better use the nightly builds, of which a
xenial version is available?

Thanx and best regards,
Michael

Hi Emilio,

I believe it will be the 1st of June.

I also could not wait as I had customers on 3.0.2 that had the issue, so I

proceeded to build custom RPMs for CentOS 7 so I could update without having

to wait.

So far no issues noted.. (4 days-60 clients with AS devices)

It only tells:

"This section describes what needs to be done when upgrading to the
current version of SOGo from the previous release."

For example: When I'm not totally sure that my previous version was
version 2.3.0 and not 2.2.8 then I don't have a clue if I have to call
the script or not.

Is it called automatically during the upgrade or why wouldn't the script
beeing needed in that case?

[SOGo] How do I know which update script I have to call?

2016-04-29 Thread Michael Vogel
Hi!

Sometimes there seems to be a need to run database update scripts after
SOGo was updated. My problem is that I never know if or which of theses
scripts I had to call.

Mostly I really don't know the old SOGo version. For example: I just
updated and I'm now on 2.3.1. I don't know if I have to call the script
"sql-update-2.2.17_to_2.3.0-mysql.sh".

Is there any script that I haven't found by now that simply does a check
for the current database schema and does all needed changes?

[SOGo] Proxy-Error after upgrading to 3.0.2

2016-03-08 Thread Michael Grimbichler
Hi all

I tried to upgrade to the latest version to fix some of the bugs. Since I
installed the RPMs with "rpm -Uvh" the login does not work anymore. After the
login I get the message "proxy error". Tried different browsers on different
devices.

This is what I can see from the web logs:

[proxy_http:error] [pid 3027] (20014)Internal error: [client

Anyone had that before? Everything was working fine with 3.0.1

Let me know in case you need to see my config.

OS: CentOS 7

[SOGo] Password change not possible

2016-02-10 Thread Michael Grimbichler
Hi all

New to SOGo and can’t change user passwords in the settings.
Is this a known bug? Cant see anything in /var/log/messages or /var/log/maillog
when hitting the „change“ button.
Also the fact that there is a „save" button and „change" button is a bit
confusing.
I am running Sogo on CentOS 7 with OpenLDAP and Dovecot.
Password change is set in the Sogo config and following is my LDAP config.

olcAccess: {0}to attrs=userPassword,shadowLastChange

 by dn=„cn=admin,dc=domain,dc=com“ write

 by dn="uid=dovecot,ou=ServiceAccounts,dc=domain,dc=co,dc=uk“ read

 by dn="uid=saslauthd,ou=ServiceAccounts,dc=domain,dc=co,dc=uk“ read

 by anonymous auth

 by self write

 by * none

Do I also need to grant write permission to the SOGo Service account or should
it be covered by the „self“ permission?

Thanks,

[SOGo] SOGo installation with Apache2

2015-10-20 Thread Michael Angelozzi
Hi All,

Firstly, what does SOGo stand for? I have googled intensively and only come
up with Society Of Gas Operators, which I am i sure it does not stand for.
My guess would be: Super Openexchange Groupware O???

So I am trying to install SOGo on Ubuntu server 14.04.

I installed Apache2 which used to serve up a very simple page (as you will
see below it is now broken).
I installed mysql-server.
I installed Postfix with Dovecot using: sudo apt-get -y install
mail-stack-delivery
I did not install OpenLDAP because at the moment there is just myself in my
company. I would rather use a the MySQL database to store the users.

Then I installed SOGo, and I noticed towards the end of the installation
Apache2 fell over:
Setting up sogo:amd64 (2.3.2-1) ...
apache2_invoke: Enable configuration SOGo
Action 'configtest' failed.
The Apache error log may have more information.
apache2_reload: Your configuration is broken. Not reloading Apache 2
 * Starting SOGo sogo [
OK ]

I checked the Apache log and there was nothing helpful.

This is what is in the SOGo conf file:
sudo nano /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/SOGo.conf
shows:
Line 47: ProxyRequests Off
Line 48: SetEnv proxy-nokeepalive 1
Line 49: ProxyPreserveHost On

I ran the following command:
apachectl configtest

And got:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 47 of /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/SOGo.conf:
Invalid command 'ProxyRequests', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module
not included in the server configuration
Action 'configtest' failed.
So Commented out line 47, because Off is the default value in the Apache
documentation anyway.

Then I tried again and this time the same error but for line 49:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 49 of /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/SOGo.conf:
Invalid command 'ProxyPreserveHost', perhaps misspelled or defined by a
module not included in the server configuration
Action 'configtest' failed.

I figured it would be unwise to just keep commenting out stuff.
Any suggestions?

The SOGO Installation Guide.pdf page 45 says:
*"The SOGo configuration for Apache is located in
/etc/httpd/conf.d/SOGo.conf"*
But I dont have a file there?

Not sure how to proceed.

Kind Regards
Michael

Then reload the service:

Re: [SOGo] SOGo installation with Apache2

2015-10-20 Thread Michael Angelozzi
Thanks Martin Simovic for answering all my questions!

Thanks Chris Coleman for the history of SOGo and SKYRiX, it was interesting.
SOGo certainly looks like an awesome piece of software!

And finally thanks to Per Jessen, and yes your memory serves you correctly
(impressive)!

[SOGo] Moving a SOGo installation to another server?

2014-12-17 Thread Michael Vogel
Hi!

I want to move my SOGo installation to another server (with a different
MySql-, IMAP- and SMTP-server)

Of course I want to keep the calendar and addressbook entries, as well
as the mail filter rules.

How can I do that?

Thanks!

[SOGo] authentication problems / caching problems on multi domain and multi SOGoUserSources sites...

2014-08-18 Thread Michael Alzheimer

Hi all,

hope somebody can give me a hint ;)

we have here a multi domain configuration, each with a different
SOGoUserSource (bothsamba4 AD, but different AD's on different hosts,
with different base-dn and different users...)
 - users, that log on with username@domain_a will be authenticated
against _both_ SOGoUserSources, of cource, failing at one, but succeed
on the other
- users, that log on with username@domain_b will be authenticated
against _both_ SOGoUserSources, again here, fail on one, and succeed on
the other.
now, often it happens, if memcached is running, that all users from
domain_b (the AD Server is quite a bit farer away, has a little higher
latency then AD of domain_a), won't work and only the sogoMessage
object not found: SOGo = username@domain_b is displayedin the web
interface.
Disabling memcached solves it, but throws thousands of caching-error
messages in the sogo.log,of course ;)

Now, did I understoodsomething wrong? - imho i thought,the users of
domain_a should only be authenticated against AD of domain_a cause,
for this, AD of domain_a is theonly SOGoUserSource, and of course, same
on domain_b
 - or are always all UserSources are triedregardless if they are
configured in this domain or not.

 - or did I simply made a config mistake :D

I hope idescriped it a little bit clear... :D

Currently we are running sogo with nightly version of (2.2.8?) - cause
2.2.7 had a bug that was only fixed in the nightly one.
I see this behaviour since our upgrade from 2.x (2.0.x ithink) to 2.2.7
and 2.2.8 nightly...

It's currently a ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS System,

and here's the config:

Thank you in advance! ;)

[SOGo] Settings aren't stored - where to look?

2014-05-05 Thread Michael Vogel
Hi!

I'm having a strange problem: My SOGo installation seems to work (at a
first glance) but I'm having the problem, that I can't save any
preferences. I can set the starting day of the week to monday. Then I
close and save. When I return to settings, it's still on sunday.

I checked, that I'm having write access on sogo_user_profile. The
logfile only shows the HTTP commands but no errors.

Where can I look?

Thanks!

Everything else really works. I can add contacts, I can add calendar
entries - and I can access (and change) them via CalDAV and CardDAV.

But the preferences (and SIEVE-Entries) can't be saved.

Hi,

i set up the ZEG package and did some tests with the default users sogo1-3.
With Thunderbird everything worked fine. But with Outlook 2010 i
discovered that the free/busy time of invited users is not displayed.
Outlook showed me an error that the free/busy time could not be
retreived from the server.

I did the set up according to the given manual. Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
Michael

 As far as I can see in my sogo.conf, there are no settings for this topic.

 As an example, my Apache configuration looks like below.

Thanks! I will try them!

None. :(
And predefined labels in Thunderbird also disappeared... :(
When I create a new, it will be gone too at the next start.
I can confirm this: TB 24.2.0.0+lightning 2.6.3+sogo-connector
24.0.2+sogo-integrator 24.0.3 with SOGo 2.0.4,

mail tags are gone after restart TB.

Is there a way to deaktivate the replication between TB and sogo?

I would love to have the possibility to extend the functionality of SOGo

That means: I would like to have the possibility to add links to the

Owncloud repository or something else.

It would be cool to have a single login and a coherent look and feel.

On the command line you can use sogo-tool for that.
Read the current setting with:
/usr/sbin/sogo-tool user-preferences get defaults $userid SOGoMailSignature

Unset it with:
/usr/sbin/sogo-tool user-preferences unset defaults $userid
SOGoMailSignature

Set it with:
/usr/sbin/sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults $userid
SOGoMailSignature '{SOGoMailSignature:My new totally hip signature}'

You have to replace $userid with your user ID in SOGo.

Hey Ludovic,

thanks for the information. From your BTS I see that there is a Bug
concerning the creation of new Events in Outlook. From that I understand
that I should at least be able to see my partners events if I have the
permissions, am I right? Currently I only see the free/busy information.

Kind regards

 SOGo v2.1 - look at our BTS for marked bugs for the release.
 Is there a schedule yet?
 I think it'll take 6 to 8 weeks before delivering that release.
 Is there a possibility that it would work with a more recent version of
 OpenChange compiled from source?
 Using the sources won't change anything. You could follow the bugs and
 eventually use a nightly build.

 Thanks,

Hi Peter,

thanks again. I also tried several times with that box checked. But I
will try this again. In general: which connection settings are the
preferred / most stable ones? RPC or http proxy? Which authentication
for each? I systematically tried them all but couldn't recognize big
differences. How is that in your long term experience?

[SOGo] Uncaught exception

2013-08-14 Thread Michael Volz

Dear sogo community,

first of all I wanted to thank the inverse team, Péter Szladovics and
Olivier Bitsch. With the help of their tutorials, VMs and scripts I was
able to build an ansible playbook for installing SOGo and OpenChange. I
need Outlook support, so the OpenChange part was critical. Thanks again,
great work!

But I am still having some issues. One is this uncaught exception that
raises once in a while. Every time it does, Outlook looses connection to
Exchange. It often happens when I try to share a user's calendar with
another user:

/usr/sbin/samba: Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason:
SOGoMAPIDBFolder(instance) does not recognize folderType

When I restart samba4 (which doesn't die, at least not entirely),
Outlook can reconnect, but the expected changes of the permissions
didn't happen. I uploaded a verbose (level 5) samba log of the event
here: http://pastebin.com/HhMmc7rN. My smb.conf is like that:
http://pastebin.com/L1TxejnP. Sogo is configured with GNUStep, the
sogo-tool dump-defaults is: http://pastebin.com/bemzrg7c. I use
postgresql as database backend and dovecot as imap server.

In general outlook works. I can receive and send emails, I can create
and modify calendar items and contacts. Only calendar sharing is limited
and I have stability problems because of such exceptions that make a
restart of samba necessary. Regarding calendar sharing: I can share
calendars in SOGo web interface and it fully works there. My partner can
create, modify and delete calendar items for me. But this doesn't work
in Outlook. For Outlook the same shared calendar is read only and I only
see the free/busy information, not event details. If I want to change
the permissions for my calendar through Outlook it doesn't let me choose
options that allow the other person to make changes. I can select them
but they would immediately switch back to the read only versions when I
commit the changes. And most of the time such operations cause
exceptions like the one described above.

Is this normal behavior because of the limits of the outlook
compatibility or can it be solved? I read that seeing the details of
appointments may not be supported. Is this still the case and if yes -
is it likely to change? Are there ways to make it happen?

Thanks a lot for any help or hint!

For me it looks like Outlook never sends the right authentication and
because of that ocsmanager just sends the free/busy information but no
other details back to Outlook. I can't dig deeper today, but I will
tomorrow. Maybe somebody has an idea? I found that my
/etc/ocsmanager/ocsmanager.ini (http://pastebin.com/Qcs0vriS) is pretty
raw, was I supposed to configure it? I never came across it.

Sorry for this unreflected mail - just some last minute thoughts before
knock off. But am I right that my calendar problem could be related to
ocsmanager or is this normal behaviour? I also saw that even when I tell
Outlook to connect via http there is very little activity with apache
oder ocsmanager but very much witch samba so it seems to me that it
connects directly via rpc after all.

Best regards
Michael

Share all of needed resources under the web (SOGo interface), and use

One thing won't works: shared folders. But contacts and calendars ;)
You will need same method about out of office settings and server side

[SOGo] Evaluating SOGo - a few questions

2013-06-25 Thread Michael Volz

Hi together!

I am working for an IT service provider in eastern Switzerland.
Currently we are evaluating group ware solutions for small to middle
size office (3-50 employees). SOGo looks very promising from a technical
perspective but also because of the native Outlook support. As a matter
of fact good support for Outlook is mandatory among our customers. I
have played around a bit and have some questions which might help us in
our decision:

1. SOGo itself seems to be solid and easy to deploy if you have a
working email setup. Our own experiences so far are very good and I know
of very big installations as at University of Konstanz and other German
universities which prove that it can handle huge amounts of users and
scales well. But unfortunately OpenChange and Samba4 seem to be at least
less straightforward. We tried compiling them and SOGo from different
source versions, compiling them and using the prebuilt packages for SOGo
and using the inverse packages for samba as well as SOGo. I never got
the Outlook integration to work properly. As I don't have many
experiences with these softwares components it's hard to tell if it's
due to misconfiguration or due to a not working combination of package
versions or other side effects. Which is the preferred way to install
SOGo+Samba4+OpenChange? OS is flexible, we would prefer Debian 7 but we
use Ubuntu 12.04 for SOGo at the moment because it seems better
supported. RHEL6 is also well known here.

2. The OpenChange Cookbook suggest to install an OpenLDAP server? What's
the benefit of that compared to using the Samba4 directory? It seems to
be redundant and adds complexity.

3. Many tutorials suggest that you select Always ask for credentials
in the Outlook configuration options for the Exchange connection. With
ZEG it seems to work without that option and it would be kind of a show
stopper the user had to handle that credential dialog every time she
starts Outlook. For which scenarios is this option necessary and what
are the drawbacks of not selecting it?

4. What options for professional support are there? Is it always on a
per need base or are there any support or licensing plans?

5. Although it is our first experience with Samba4 it seems promising
and the combination of a Samba4 domain and SOGo/OpenChange as an
Exchange replacement seems to be a great concept for small businesses.
Is it possible for the OpenChange server to join an existing Samba4
domain and use its directory? Any experiences with that setup?

6. And in general: Who is using SOGo/OpenChange in production
installations up to 50 users? I have no doubt about SOGo being solid and
scalable but there seem to be less installations of OpenChange. Iabsis
in France seem to do it. It would be of great help if somebody would
share their experiences so we can be confident about the stability of
the solution.

I am looking forward to working with your software. Again, it seems to
be a great product. I hope it meets our requirement to offering a stable
Outlook integration.

Kind regards

OK, but there are a lot of threads from clients which don't set these

That behaviour is the standard behaviour for many mail clients.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style#Quoted_line_prefix

There is no standard declaring one quote-prefix to be right and
others to be wrong, but some standards depend on conventional quoting.
The (unpublished) son-of-1036 draft recommends as the
quote-prefix; RFC 3676 depends on it and considers andto
be semantically different. That is, has a quote-depth of two,
whilehas a quote-depth of one, quoting a line starting with .

I definetly have to look at the bugtracker to see what's already on the

[SOGo] Feature requests - How?

2013-04-08 Thread Michael Vogel
Hi!

How can I do some feature requests so that the developer are seeing them? Are
they reading this mailing list or is there another channel for that?

By now I have for small things:

1. It would be great if the threaded view of mails would only do that with
mails that are threaded via the References- and In-Reply-To-header - but
not via a subject with the same content. This could be switched via an option.
The background: I'm getting many notifications with an identical subject. (like
New answer in forum test). These mails don't belong in one thread.

2. When replying to a replied message the quote signs should be compacted.
Explanation: When I reply to a message the quoted messages looks like this:
quoted text. When quoting this quoted text, the system should make a

3. The option for viewing mails in thread view should be made switchable
directly in the mail folders.

4. It would be great if there was an option to mark all messages as read when
right-clicking on a mail folder.

Thanks!

The user should be added automatically when you install the packages.

 2, After the installation there was no GNUstep/Defaults dir .. is it ok ?

You have to do the configuration by hand. Then the settings file will be
created. You already had a look at the documentation?

 3, Am I supposed to install Apache prior to sogo installation ?

Your need Apache, an SMTP-server and an IMAP server.

 4, Theres is no sogod service after sogo installation :... ?

That should be there - including the startup script.

I guess I haven't clearly explained what I want :) I thought about something to

Re: Re: [SOGo] SoGo connector 17.0.3 /Google CardDAV

2013-04-04 Thread Michael
I've got the exact same problem, there is no sync whatsoever happening to
Google Contacts/Gmail any more. This was working until very recently, and there
hasn't been any change in the setup on my part.

The problem is not a generic CardDAV one. CardDAV is all fine and dandy when
syncing to iOS, it's just the SOGo part that's broken.

For the record, while Google will stop supporting CalDAV, I haven' heard
anything indicating that they are pulling CardDAV support. It definitely hasn't
happened and, for all I know, hasn't been announced.

[SOGo] Can't change the IMAP servername

2013-03-29 Thread Michael Vogel

Hi!

I followed the instructions at
http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/10894?page=0,0

I can access the web interface and on the first view it looks good.

But: My IMAP server is running on a different machine. In the
preferences the fields in the IMAP accounts are greyed out and are
directing to localhost.

It would be great to be able to change these values.

 The net? Try the documentation instead and grep for those:
   SOGoIMAPServer
   SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled

The second I had already enabled. But I do not want multiple accounts
but multiple identities for one account. But according to the roadmap
this isn't possible by now.

The first one I already tried. And I was too dumb when trying that. I
guess I forgot to restart the server. It is working now :)

 In fact, read the whole thing, it probably contains all the answers
 you're looking for.

Yeah, I already did. But sometimes I'm having problems finding the right

[SOGo] Easiest way to do authentification?

2013-03-23 Thread Michael Vogel
Hi!

I want to use SOGo mainly for personal use. That means that I will have
one or two accounts only.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and it is a fresh installation.

SOGo can use different mechanism to authenticate (LDAP, SAML2, C.A.S.).
Question is which one is the easiest to set up? I really don't like to
install a LDAP server. It would be best to have a mechanism that is
synchronized with the real user accounts that I added on my server.

Are there any how-to available? By now I only found the documentation at

[SOGo] PHP-Push-2 help please!!!

2013-03-14 Thread Michael

Dear All,

I have been trying for weeks now to get PHP-Push-2 to work on my SOGo
system. The thing is, the old sogosync works like a charm, the only
problem with sogosync is that it doesn't support HTML email because it
has an older merge of z-push.

I have a previous thread entitled [SOGo] sogosync and html email but
have hit a brick wall.

After installing PHP-Push-2, copying the supplied config.php files and
following the rest of the instructions etc. I can connect my iOS devices

Hi again,

I have defined CALDAV_URL, CALDAV_READONLY, CARDDAV_URL,
CARDDAV_PERSONAL and CARDDAV_READONLY manually in config.php as a
band-aid solution but still having issues - still no contacts and
calendar and more strange errors being logged. Strangely, html email is
no longer working, even though it was working previously with PHP-Push-2

just so that I can compare?

I have a feeling something is all messed up. I have tried clearing out
the PHP-Push-2 directory, merging using git again and reconfiguring the
config files but I still get the same issues.

My next step is to try your recommendation about using the original

Hi Sven, Thanks for this but I had the config you suggest and I also
tried copying and using the config.inc.php which comments out all but
the imap, cardav and caldav. Still the same problem - the iThings wont
connect and say 'Unable to verify account information.'

Errors are being logged in z-push.log:

Your help is very much appreciated :)

Hi Michael,

sorry for the late answer.

You have to use the BackendCombined option for CalDAV and CardDAV to
work too.
Can you make sure that you just activated BackendIMAP, BackendCalDAV
and BackendCardDAV in backend/combined/config.php?

It has to look like this:

public static function GetBackendCombinedConfig() {
//use a function for it because php does not allow
//assigning variables to the class members (expecting T_STRING)
return array(
//the order in which the backends are loaded.
//login only succeeds if all backend return true on login
//sending mail: the mail is sent with first backend that is able to
send the mail

'backends' = array(
'i' = array(
'name' = 'BackendIMAP',
'config' = self::$BackendIMAP_config,
),
//'z' = array(
// 'name' = 'BackendZarafa',
// 'config' = self::$BackendZarafa_config
//),
//'m' = array(
// 'name' = 'BackendMaildir',
// 'config' = self::$BackendMaildir_config,
//),
//'v' = array(
// 'name' = 'BackendVCardDir',
// 'config' = self::$BackendVCardDir_config,
//),
'c' = array(
'name' = 'BackendCalDAV',
'config' = self::$BackendCalDAV_config,
),
//'l' = array(
// 'name' = 'BackendLDAP',
// 'config' = self::$BackendLDAP_config,
//),
'd' = array(
'name' = 'BackendCardDAV',
'config' = self::$BackendCardDAV_config,
),
),

Best,
Sven

Hi Sven, Actually I am having a problem with PHP-Push-2; I configured
config.php and email works fine but CalDAV and CardDAV doesn't.

When I set  ('BACKEND_PROVIDER', BackendCombined);

the devices fail to set up/initialise.

However when I set define('BACKEND_PROVIDER', BackendIMAP); the
devices set up but no calendar or contacts.

Here is the config.php for caldav and carddav:

// **
//  BackendCalDAV settings
// **
define('CALDAV_SERVER', 'https://sogo.example.com');
define('CALDAV_PORT', '443');
define('CALDAV_PATH', '/SOGo/dav/%u/');
define('CALDAV_PERSONAL', 'personal'); //Personal CalDAV folder

// **
//  BackendCardDAV settings
// **
define('CARDDAV_SERVER', 'https://sogo.example.com');
define('CARDDAV_PORT', '443');
define('CARDDAV_PATH', '/SOGo/dav/%u/');
define('CARDDAV_PRINCIPAL', 'Contacts'); //Personal CardDAV folder

Did you manage to get contacts and calendar working with PHP-Push-2
and SOGo ?

Regards, Michael.

Hi Michael,

sogosync hasn't been updated in 4 month so the support for HTML emails is not
integrated.
It was released with zpush
