Re: [SOGo] Samba 4.1.9 - Sogo + Openchange

2014-07-19 Thread Olivier Bitsch
Hi Masi,

I renamed this package, so just remove the sope4.9-gdl1-mysql from your
apt-get install command, the dependancying is automatic.

Olivier.

 Hi Olivier,

 thx for your support buddy,

at the moment i have the wheezy-backports your repo active:

 root@dc0:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/wheezy-backports.list
 deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy-backports main

 root@dc0:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/iabsis-sogo.list
 deb http://open.iabsis.com/debian sogo main

in the sogo-section of your tutorial:
 http://iabsis.com/EN/article/35-5/Sogo-installation
you say to install these packages:

 apt-get install sogo sope4.9-gdl1-mysql mysql-server sogo-activesync

 but i get this error:

 root@dc0:~# apt-get -t sogo install sogo sope4.9-gdl1-mysql mysql-server
 sogo-activesync
 Reading package lists... Done
 Building dependency tree
 Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package sope4.9-gdl1-mysql
E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'sope4.9-gdl1-mysql'

It cant find 'sope4.9-gdl1-mysql', do i need it or should i insert the
inverse repo in my sourcelist too?

 Regards
 Masi

PS: It would be very interesting how you build the packages, i ask this
question, because i followed the offical openchange docs (
 http://www.openchange.org/cookbook/initializing.html) but i wasnt
successful to join my ms outlook 2013 with mapi.

In the logfile of samba i saw only Storage backend initialization failed

The interesting thing is that in the offical openchange way they never
 mention packages like:

 sogo install openchangeserver sogo-openchange openchangeproxy
 openchange-ocsmanager openchange-rpcproxy

I am little bit confused. They way how you describe is to install all the
 *necessary
Packages and then bind postfix, dovecot, sogo wit ldap-connection to the
samba4(AD) and you also say to connect the Outlook Client over RPC-Proxy
 (Outlook-Anywhere).*

*And **the other thing is that in the openchange docs, they say *Setting
 up mapiprofile (http://www.openchange.org/cookbook/configuring.html),

in your way you never mentioned it. Is the Profile *necessary?*

*Maybe I misunderstood the whole ecosystem of SAMBA+OPENCHANGE+SOGO*

Re: [SOGo] Samba 4.1.9 - Sogo + Openchange

2014-07-18 Thread Steve Ankeny

yes . . .

Ubuntu Trusty repositories deliver Samba 4.1.6, but don't go to any
trouble with it (only if it makes sense) As I see it, building from
scratch, with Trusty and Inverse repositories is what we want.

Openchange is just not ready, and since I've been reading about it (link
http://openchange.org/developers/roadmap.html), it appears they're
trying to add updates from Zentyal to Openchange to bring about the v2.2
update (just not ready)

HOPEFULLY, that will come down soon. Course, I could fall back to v2.1
Quadrant or roll my own. I just thought it would be easier to use
ready-made packages from the repositories (with your tutorial)

Inverse wants to wait for v2.2, and I don't blame them, but it delays
the use of Trusty for now.
