For a particular user, if i come across quota shown uncorrectly, usually never happens, i've seen it happen when i moved into the new mail server and dumped his mails from old server to new server, then, i delete his 'maildirsize' file and run the following command from his directory and allocate him 20 MB mailbox, for example. maildirmake -q 2000S ./Maildir/ Your problem is not w.r.t. user but w.r.t. domains. Something similar to above i feel. Have you set quota for those domains properly? You can set quota using vQadmin also. quota support enabled and it is/was working properly? FYI, am using vpopmail 5.5.0 and netqmail-1.05 with qmailadmin-1.21. Dheeraj. [vchkpw] Quota problems
Hello all, I have looked thru the archiveof this list and tried to find a solution to my problem. I have tried what I could find and will go thru that, but have not been able to find a solution yet. Im running qmail, vchkpw, and sqwebmail. I have a few domains that are not reporting mailsize properly. In looking thru the list, I found one solution to be deleteing the maildirsize file every night thru a cron job. I have tried this, but it still does not seem to work. I am using vpopmail v 5.2.1, and qmail 1.03. If any other information is needed, please let me know. Thanks, Dave Kettmann NetLogic 636-561-0680

Qmail is doing the right thing. What is the error when it tries to bounce to the local user Or is the remote error a 4xx temporary error which means qmail will keep trying until The lifetime is reached. Your not giving us enough details to assist you. Your error so Far could be anything from a configuration error, user error, bug or anything in between. Look in the send log for lines where qmail has tried to send a bounce back to a local user And see what it is saying. If there is an error, send the error to the list so that others Can maybe assist you. We are not mind readers, we don't know how your server/s are configured So we cant help until you provide enough details. Re: [vchkpw] Bounce Mails
The logfiles have error messages from the remote servers.. For example: "mailbox limit exceeded" or my users have wrong adresses... instead of "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and so on... And I want a bounce back message to my users with that remote server messages in it.. (like most providers do..) thanks. - Original Message - From: "Shane Chrisp" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 02, 2004 10:56 AM Subject: RE: [vchkpw] Bounce Mails > So your users are sending with invalid reply to addresses? > > Everyone has a different stance on how to deal with that. > Personally I would be asking why the user is sending out > with a non-existant email address. > > Or do you have a configuration error. RE: [vchkpw] Bounce Mails
So your users are sending with invalid reply to addresses? Everyone has a different stance on how to deal with that. Personally I would be asking why the user is sending out with a non-existant email address. Or do you have a configuration error. What do your qmail logs say about the delivery attempts?
