You can set up an FB page for the band under your personal account, though if the other band members need to log into the page you may want another acount for which everyone can have the password. walmart does do braille labeling and some pamphlets I believe. I can tell you that they have put a lot of time and effort in to this. Not sure though how it is distributed. I don't know if the labeling is only available when you order online or how the local pharmacy can take advantage of it. The game is very accessible. Simply double tap where it says BTN Play. Then double tap on Latest Games to play one of the free daily puzzles. You are given a clue for the first word. After you have answered the first clue, the next answer will only change by one letter. So if the first answer is take, the next answer could be changed by one letter to make wake, make, tale, tame, or anything that might fit the next clue by only changing one letter in the previous answer. Another thing that makes word ladder easier is that you can type the answer for any clue in the list and it will fill it in. You do not have to go in order. In fact you can deduce unknown words if you have the word above and below it filled in. I don't understand the question. Of course Apple will work on voiceOver. It isn't true that nothing has happened since IOS 7 was released. IOS 7.0.3 released at the end of October had multiple fixes in it related to VoiceOver and accessibility. IOS 7.1, which is reported to come out shortly, has quite a few changes and fixes in it, including many related to VoiceOver and accessibility. Apple has also demonstrated over the past, with major updates like IOS 6, IOS 5 and so on, that changes and improvements will be made to VoiceOver and accessibility. To a lesser degree, this has also been demonstrated with dot releases. Apple isn't perfect, and there are multiple legitimate issues you could have with Apple, but a statement implying that Apple hasn't or isn't going to work on VoiceOver is simply false. You can establish the page under one account and add administrators without giving them access to your account. we have three admins on our page and they do not share anything in common except access to the page itself. When you oat to the account you will always have the option as posting as the page admin or as yourself. works fine and doesn't require extra accounts. Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the lite version of this app and unfortunately it doesn't read the 3 of 9 barcode I'm interested in scanning. It does say the full version will read it but I'm hesitant to spend $10 to find out :). I have a question about external GPS receivers. If you use another Bluetooth reciever, can you disable the native iPhone GPS Reciever and if so, how? And lastly, how does the native GPS reciever stack up against other GPS recievers in your opinion? I just called my local WalMart pharmacy and they didn't know about a mail order service. I checked further and found it at 800 273 3455. They only do 90 day refills but will provide the reader and will do a one time labelled bottle for a shorter duration refill. They have several ways to get the prescriptions to them including dropping it off at the local pharmacy and having it held for the mail order pharmacy. No more waiting for an hour or more at the local pharmacy only to find they are out of stock and I have to wait a few more days for a shipment to arrive. Just one o fthe joys of rural living. Hi, every time I go to my recent or voice mail tab, I check my missed calls and try to listen to my messages. What is the rule to be able to listen to those messages without hitting to make a call to the person or place that left the message. I can’t seem to get it to let me hear the message but what it does is make the call. I am sorry for asking such elementary questions but, I end up calling my cell phone just to listen to my messages because of it. If you can help me, it will make this iphone so much better for me. Hello, When you go to the phone icon, once you double tap on it, you will then have several tabs on the bottom. From left to right, you have favorites, recents, contacts, Keypad and then voicemail. If you want to see who called you, then you would go to recents, and if you doubletap on a phone number it will call that person. If you want to listen to your voicemails, you will want to double tap on the voicemail tab on the bottom right, then you will see your voicemails, and if you doubletap on one of them it should start playing them. Hi, If you double tap on your voicemail tab, then double tap on where it says unplayed from, you should be able to listen to the message without calling them. When you first open the app store, you get a screen offering to download apples helpful popular apps such as pages, garage band and some others, is there a way to bring this dialog up again? I have had the same problem running 7.04 with a iPhone 5s, take a video with my sighted wife you can see the video in the preview screen but after you hit stop, and go into the camera roll to watch the video, you get the sound, but no video... Obviously the screen curtain is off because I'm showing my wife the screen as I'm taking the video. You should see a keyboard at the bottom of the screen. Just put in what you think your answer is and it will make a sound if you get it right. No need to tap on a finish or done button, once you put in the last letter of your answer, if it is correct, you will hear a sound. If it is wrong, you will hear nothing and you will have to try a different answer. On the ABC News app is there a radio button to listen to the ABC News and if so where is it. Is there some link on ABC News to have it read the news? I don't see the message you're replying to, so I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. It's true there are bugs in IOS 7 that didn't exist in IOS 6, but Apple has fixed some of those bugs. Just look at the readme for IOS 7.0.3. IOS 7.1 is also right around the corner, which will contain many more fixes, I'm sure. If you're expecting Apple to put out bug free releases or fix all bugs in just a few weeks then I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed, just as you would if you had these expectations with any operating system or application. Also, don't forget that Apple introduced a lot of new functionality in IOS 7, some of which blind users enjoy and take advantage of just as much as sighted users. For example, I love the Control Center, the new App Switcher, the Updates tab in the App Store and iTunes Radio, just to mention a few things in IOS 7 I take advantage of and appreciate. Hi, I looked on the bottom of the screen for the keyboard. Is the keyboard labeled so that you know where to type in the answers to the clues? I did see something that says text field but I only see that when the actual game starts and after I see that text field at the beginning of the game it doesn't show up again if that is where you're supposed to put in your answers to the clues. The page at https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/ lists the new features in IOS 7. the ones I take advantage of the most are * Control Center * App Switcher * AirDrop (which I don't use, but which I can see would be a big deal for those with multiple devices from Apple) * Safari improvements * iTunes Radio * Siri improvements * the Updates tab in the App Store I also like some of the accessibility and VoiceOver enhancements, such as handwriting mode, having multiple high quality voices and so on. I haven't experienced most of the issues you mentioned below, but I believe the sensitivity issue was addressed in 7.0.3 and some of the interface issues are configurable. I always thought of the availability of the alternate symbols as a new feature. I have reported some bugs with IOS 7, and I'm still waiting for them to be addressed. I'm optimistic that IOS 7.1 will address most if not some of these issues. The standscan pro was designed to be portable. If you are going to always leave it in the same place, you can leave it together, but if you plan to use it in different places, you will need to fold and unfold it. 1. Open the Utilities folder with shift command u. This is done in the Finder. 2. Open Disk Utility by first highlighting it then pressing Control O for open. 3. Select the appropriate disk in the table, then click the repair disk permissions or repair disk button. Note While you can repair disk permissions and verify disk in the operating system itself, you must repair the disk itself inside the recovery partition accessed by pressing Command R at startup as soon as you hear the musical chord.
