RE: Battery pack for the SE 2020

2022-01-15 Thread Dennis Long
For those that want an accessible pack there is one out there. At guys has it.
Now if they made a talking one I would buy it in a second. Right now that
doesn't exist.

My suggestion for an iPhone battery bank is the Poweradd Slim 2 for $11. It
can recharge a regular iPhone 1.5 to 2 times before it needs recharging. The
battery is the size of two cigarette lighters and fits into most pockets.

You plug your phone into it then connect the cable to your phone. Think of it

Re: Battery pack for the SE 2020

2022-01-15 Thread CHELA Robles
Well, if I don't hear anything from them regarding my order, I'll email
energrid to see what is going on, I'll give it until the 22nd and if they don't
respond, I'll ask for my money back and get it from ATGuys instead. I thought
getting it from the manufacturer would be just as good but we shall see.

Lately I’ve noticed that as I type it will some times jump around, reading what
I wrote rather than typing the letters I’m trying to type. Has anyone else
noticed this. I’m using an Iphone 13 mini running IOS 13.2.1. I’m hoping the’s
a solution to this. Thanks.

God bless!

RE: my upgrade experience

2022-01-15 Thread Vicky Collins
My order confirmation email didn’t talk about how to activate the phone, but it did refer me to the various links of terms and conditions, so perhaps the information was there and I just didn’t read it. But about a week after I contacted AT and got the phones activated with the correct SIM cards, I received the following message twice, once for each phone that I purchased, from Walmart Apple support that said in part:Dear Vicky Collins,  Thank you for your recent order from Walmart.com.  Unfortunately, due to a fulfillment issue, your iPhone and its SIM card may have shipped separately from one another. Additionally, the iPhone may have shipped without being activated. We know this may have been an anticipated holiday gift, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Please see the instructions below to activate your phone. Instructions: 1.    When you receive both your iPhone and the SIM card, use the proper link below for guidance setting up your phone in preparation for activation.  AT: https://www.att.com/activations/ Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/support/how-to-activate-4g-phone-upgrade/1.    If you have followed the directions from the link provided and are still experiencing activation issues, please reply to this email with the following information: Serial Number:IMEI/MEID:ICCID: You can find this information on the bottom of your Apple iPhone box. Sent from Mail for Windows From: Kelly PierceSent: Saturday, January 15, 2022 12:39 AMTo: viphone@googlegroups.comSubject: Re: my upgrade experience My carrier was very clear in an e-mail it sent after I ordered myiPhone 13 Mini at the cell phone store. Re: Battery pack for the SE 2020

2022-01-15 Thread Flor Lynch
It's a pity that these battery banks don't emit an audible tone or
vibro-tactile indication when they are running low themselves. (I'd like
to find one that does? In the manner that a hearing aid does when the
battery in it is about to die. This would solve our problem with not
knowing its current unaided power status.)

My suggestion for an iPhone battery bank is the Poweradd Slim 2 for
$11. It can recharge a regular iPhone 1.5 to 2 times before it needs
recharging. The battery is the size of two cigarette lighters and fits
into most pockets.

Hello,

The organization is called "The Tech Juggernaut" and you can learn all about
them from their web site at

Ttjtech.net

I have taken courses with them and can attest they are excellent instructors.
All instructors are either low vision or totally blind and so, they know
whereof they teach. Their courses focus on using Voiceover with IOS 15 and
iPad/OS 15. They also cover the Mac, the Apple watch, and the Plle TV. Along
with free classes and Cafes, they offer several for-pay services and offerings.

Yes, there will certainly be a time zone difference for any live Zoom based
sessions as you are in the U.K. However, almost all of their classes are
recorded and uploaded to Youtube so you can always review classes at yur own
time once the classes are uploaded. At least one of their courses, "More With
the Mac" is actually presented as Youtube video classes with a separate live
interaction session via Zoom regularly scheduled.

If you are looking for solid training in IOS and Voiceover for Apple products,
you will get it here.

Voiceover In and Out, More With the Mac, and iPad For All Computing. But, what
about those areas we simply didn’t have time to cover? What about targeted
areas where you want to learn more?

Introducing TTJ Digital Cafes!

With TTJ Digital Cafes, you can learn at your own pace, from any device, no
matter where you are. Each cafe includes between one and five prerecorded
sessions, to be posted to YouTube, and at least one interactive session for
questions and answers. Cafes will be taught by the TTJ Team, and will cover a
variety of topics.

How to Register:

Before attempting to register, please read the below cafe line-up so you will
know which cafes are being offered. Note that some cafes are free, while some
are available for a modest fee.

To register, send an email to:

supp...@ttjtech.net

Indicating which cafes you wish to register for.

For best, and quickest, results, please send a separate email for each cafe you
are interested in, rather than listing in one email the cafes you wish to take.
Also, please always include an email address and phone number in the body of
the email message. Email messages containing no email address and phone number,
or invalid contact info, will be immediately disregarded, and you will not be
registered. We thank you for your understanding.

If you register for paid cafes, TTJ will contact you to obtain payment after
receiving your registration request via email. There are four easy ways to pay.
You may use a credit card, Apple Pay Cash, Zell, or PayPal. Note that TTJ
Premiere Protection Customers receive significant discounts on all paid digital
cafes.

Available Cafes:

Note that the following TTJ Digital Cafes will be released on a staggered
schedule throughout 2022. Paying for a cafe guarantees your registration, but
it does not guarantee instant access, as some cafes may not yet be available at
the time of registration. Release dates, and dates for interactive sessions,
will be announced on the TTJ Newsletter email and on the TTJ Training Calendar.

Re: Take Learning To the Next Level! Announcing 2022 Digital Cafes

2022-01-15 Thread Dave Clement

Louise,

Have you gone into Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Audio, Auto Select
Speaker in call and made sure it is on?

That should make the call switch to speaker when you move it away from your
head, or if you answered the phone while it was away from your head, if you
just cover the upper portion of the screen with your hand and pull it away
again, it should flip to speaker.

If that setting is on and it is not changing to speaker where the volume will
be far better, then there is possibly a problem with the proximity sensor that
is by the front facing camera.

RE: Iphone connection help, please

2022-01-15 Thread Louise Peyton
Hi, Richard:
It’s possible there may be a sensor problem. The speaker is on so I’ll take
the phone to Apple store next week to have them look at it. Don’t know what
else to try.

Louise,
Have you gone into Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Audio, Auto Select
Speaker in call and made sure it is on?

That should make the call switch to speaker when you move it away from your
head, or if you answered the phone while it was away from your head, if you
just cover the upper portion of the screen with your hand and pull it away
again, it should flip to speaker.

If that setting is on and it is not changing to speaker where the volume will
be far better, then there is possibly a problem with the proximity sensor that
is by the front facing camera.

There are several different volume settings in an iphone. Not all are
controlled by the volume setting in Voiceover. So, you may simply have a low
volume for phone calls.

The way to adjust this is to start a call with someone, have them stay on the
line, and then use the volume up button to try to increase the volume of the
phone call. Phone call volume is one of the several different volumes in the
iphone not controlled by the volume setting on the rotor.

I hope this helps.

Other Devices Don't Ring

2022-01-15 Thread Fazil M.
Hi, Group.

My iPhone12 has an embedded SIM. For the last couple of days, when the phone
rings, the other devices with the same Apple ID, such as iPad Mini, Mac,
iPhone5S and 8, signed in to the same network don't ring.

How can I have them ring again when iPhone12 rings?

Thanks!

Re: Recording calls

2022-01-15 Thread Richard Turner
You cannot record phone calls on the same iPhone that the call is on.
You are best off having a separate recording device and putting the call on
speaker.
Having said that, apparently there ar: some paid apps that somehow send the
call to the cloud and record it, but I never looked into that.
Also check the laws in where you live concerning the recording of phone calls.

Also I am in the UK so would there be a time difference?

Thank you.

Subject: Take Learning To the Next Level! Announcing 2022 Digital Cafes

Many of you are current or past students in our free virtual courses, such as
Voiceover In and Out, More With the Mac, and iPad For All Computing. But, what
about those areas we simply didn’t have time to cover?
