The braille pen slim is keyboard for braille input only if i remember correctly. The Braillepen slim is simply a Braille keyboard with no display. The Braillepen 12 has a 12 cell display along with a braille keyboard. I've used a demo unit for a while and it will get rather warm. It stops getting warm once it is fully charged. I would not leave it plugged in over night in case it actually is getting too warm and perhaps over heat to a dangerous level. It should only take about 2 to 4 hours to fully charge I think.
