Re: Navigating google sheets
So, would I be better served to try using sheets and docs on the mac rather than the iPhone? If so, can I do it in safari, or do I need to use google chrome? Re: Navigating google sheets
I've found that Google has great documentation, and usually just by googling the question, I can get to the proper documentation in a few seconds. For instance, by googling how to insert links in Google Sheets, I found a document that said it's not possible on IOS, but you can do it on the computer. Everything you mention is quite easy on the Mac. Actually the only one I've found to not be possible is to move rows or columns. But everything else is. > On Jun 18, 2017, at 8:59 AM, Richard Petty <richard.pe...@earthlink.net> > wrote: > > Good. RE: Navigating google sheets
Good. Where have you found guidance for performing tasks such as · going to a specific cell · inserting links · moving rows and columns scrolling cells, and more I would be happy to know either keyboard commands or gestures. Does Google have directions for this, including keyboard commands? If they haven’t documented this, has someone else? Re: Navigating google sheets
Can you give me some tips for making Google Docs work well? It’s used pretty often by a website I work for, and I have tons of trouble with it. I’ve tried both on the mac and on my iPhone, and have very little luck. Shannon > On Jun 15, 2017, at 11:32 PM, natureloving...@gmail.com wrote: > > Google docs is accessible. I'm going to need step by step instructions. I keep hiting a1 A2 etc and the one time I hit row 30 I couldn't swipe any more. I need to get a handle on this asp for work. Thanks for your help. You have to put focus on the sheet itself by touching that area, then scroll down. It shouldn't take too many swipes since generally about 15 rows or so display at a time. > On Jun 16, 2017, at 1:02 AM, natureloving...@gmail.com wrote: > > I have sheets oppen and it doesn't seem to work. RE: Navigating google sheets
That is the same way Excel works. Each workbook usually defaults to having three sheets. Your's is probably all on that first sheet. There is a swipe up with three fingers command for the braille display. It is either spacebar+dots 3,4,5,6 or spacebar+dots 1,4,5,6. But that is going to take an awful lot of swipes to get to row 169. I've not used Sheets so I don't know if there is a go to cell option somewhere, but that might be worth a Google search. Okay, basically put focus on the sheet, then scroll down (three fingers swipe up) until you are at the row you need. If you touch a cell, it'll announce the coordinates of that cell, and the contents of it. Read the info you need, then to insert your link, double tap the cell, then immediately beneath the sheet you'll hear a field that says “formula bar”, and it'll say “text field”. Double tap on that and add your link. After you insert it, flick right and double tap on confirm. > On Jun 15, 2017, at 11:34 PM, natureloving...@gmail.com wrote: > > here's what i need to do but I cant work out how. > > I need to go to row 169 and get the info from there that I need. Basically you should be able to move your finger around the screen to read the rows and columns. If you want to edit one, I believe you double tap it, then there should be a text field at the bottom you double tap to edit. > On Jun 15, 2017, at 11:34 PM, natureloving...@gmail.com wrote: > > here's what i need to do but I cant work out how. > > I need to go to row 169 and get the info from there that I need.
