Not only that, you could also have a group of beta testers to give you this
info. Nearby explorer used to have a beta program that I used to be part of.
Perhaps that needs to be brought back.

I would agree with that, even a small developer could put the Beta on their
device a month or 6 weeks after the June event, once it goes into the public
beta phase and we get to public beta 2 or 3 around mid July it’s definitely
stabile enough to be used on a daily bases and it’s not like it would put a
huge financial burden on somebody who wants to make money from this to buy a

I am surprised they didn’t test this, after all, Apple gives developers access
to upcoming versions many weeks in advance just so they can start to test their
apps with said version and to implement any changes or fixes.
The same applies to Flicktype, apparently the developer said he was waiting for
iOS 13 to come out so he had a Stabil platform for testing, but to me that is a
pretty pure excuse, any developer had access to iOS 13 for over 3 months now.

If you wish to continue using the paid version of Nearby Explorer, we recommend

  Hi,

I've been having the same problems with Nearby Explorer as well as several
other apps ever since the iOS 13.1 beta cycle started. I have been reporting it
to Apple over and over again via the Feedback app with every update iOS 13.1 up
through today and still not fixed.

Hi Chris,

As it happens, shortly after I sent a reply to your message, I saw the
following on the Nearby Explorer list. They are aware of the problem and are
working on a fix. See below for the actual message that was sent out on the
Nearby Explorer list:

Today Apple released its newest operating system, iOS 13.1. In testing, APH
discovered these new updates will cause issues with the paid version of Nearby
Explorer. We are working on a fix, but at this time one is not imminent.

If you wish to continue using the paid version of Nearby Explorer, we recommend
you wait to upgrade to iOS 13.1 at this time. If you do choose to download the
upgrade, you may still use the free version of Nearby Explorer, Nearby Explorer
Online, which is not affected by the updates.

We will keep you updated as we continue to work for a solution, and apologize
for any inconvenience this will create.

RE: Nearby Explorer crashes in IOS 13.1

2019-09-24 Thread jsabine
Hi Julian. Reporting something like this to Apple Feedback is not effective.
I’m actually looking for a developer contact at APH who produces the app. I’ve
found that generally just reporting an issue as Feedback in the App Store is
never effective.

Thanks Much,

Chris

Hi,

I've been having the same problems with Nearby Explorer as well as several
other apps ever since the iOS 13.1 beta cycle started. I have been reporting it
to Apple over and over again via the Feedback app with every update iOS 13.1 up
through today and still not fixed.

Hello all. I just upgraded my iPhone to IOS 13.1 and can no longer use Nearby

and redownloaded the onboard maps. Is there a person at APH that handles
support for this app who I can contact? Still using my old iPhone 6S.

Thanks Much,

Chris
