Once again, I did what you suggest but there were only the Fred, Samantha, and
the two Siri voices listed. Believe me I tried several times. So I powered the
phone off and back on and voila! They were all there however there was no
option to hear a sample. That was not critical since we had both heard them and
knew what voices she wanted.
One mor question about the 7. How do you do the re-boot since the home button
is no longer a physical control?
Thanks, Marie

Hello,
Go into the speech settings for VoiceOver and you should be able to select them
from there. You will need to find American English and double tap that, and you
should see all the voices there. There have been some bugs in the past with
voices not downloading, so make sure the phone is updated to the latest version
of iOS.

What Richard says about downloading the voice is correct, but nonetheless if
you are running iOS 10 and of course your friend would be if she has an iPhone
7 then all the voices should be there and any you haven’t downloaded will
simply have a download button next to them.

Re: Voices on IPhone 7

2017-05-08 Thread Marie
I did go into the Speech/voice option but the only voices showing are Fred and
Samantha but perhaps the other two have not completed the download as they are
both large files. I did not think of this earlier so I will just try to be
patient and my friend also. LOL!

Hello,
Go into the speech settings for VoiceOver and you should be able to select them
from there. You will need to find American English and double tap that, and you
should see all the voices there. There have been some bugs in the past with
voices not downloading, so make sure the phone is updated to the latest version
of iOS.
