2017-12-15 Thread Chris Chaffin

Normally when you see behavior like this, it means that you need to recalibrate
your battery. It is recommended to do this after every major ios upgrade for
best battery performance. For more information, here is an article that list
all necessary information.

Hope this helps,

RE: Battery Plunge

2017-12-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Even with brightness at 100% and the flashlight on there is no way it will
drain from over 70% to where the phone shuts off in minutes.
If it's a one-time thing I wouldn't worry about it too much, if it happens
again to a Reset Network Settings and maybe recalibrate your battery by
draining it to where the phone shuts off, then plug it in overnight, use the
phone again until it turns off at 0% and then charge up again overnight.

Re: Battery Plunge

2017-12-14 Thread Joe Orozco
Hi, the flashlight was off. The screen brightness was set to 0. There
were no GPS apps running in the background. I'm telling you it dropped
from 73% to first 20% and then 10% in a matter of less than a minute.
Then, when I attempted to power on, I couldn't get it past the initial
white screen you get when you're resetting the phone. It was extremely
odd behavior, and the only reason I speculate it had something to do
with the Uber app is because when I finally got the phone to reboot,
the battery was at 50% until I relaunched the Uber app at which point
I managed to request another ride before the phone crashed again.
Today it's been just fine. It's held a consistent charge as it always
has. So, who knows. Weird coincidence. Next time I'll know to not
leavve without a spare battery of some sort.

Hi,
I am also using an IPhone 6S with the latest iOS version and I have
not had this issue with the Uber app. I would take the considerations
of the other posters to lower screen brightness and confirm that your
flashlight is not on, but I would also consider having your battery
replaced. It sounds like the battery could be faulty. I had my battery
replaced a few months back as I found the battery to not be as long
lasting as I thought it should and ever since then, my iPhone6s has
been working quite well.
