RE: deletin pictures from my phone

2014-11-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Walter,

Yes, you can of course connect your phone with the Lightning cable or, if it's
a 4S, wit the 30-Pin connector cable. However, you cannot delete pictures on
your phone from Windows. You can copy them to your computer, but in order to
delete them you have to go into the Photos app and delete them from there.
Check it out and if you need more help let me know either on the list or off
the list. I don't have time this morning to write more about how you can
delete, but apart from opening each picture and then using the delete button
somewhere on the bottom right you can delete all pictures from a certain moment
I think, but I would have to experiment with it again and since I currently
don't have many pictures on my phone I would have to take a bunch of pictures
first before I can try it out as to how this works. I think you were able to
use the action rotor on a particular group of pictures and then just flick down
to delete and delete them all at once, but it';s been a while since I did this.

Sieghard

RE: deletin pictures from my phone

2014-11-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
None to any of your questions, maybe this is just something that started in iOS
8 since I remember I could delete photos this way. But since I have been using
iOS 8 since June and throughout the beta cycle I honestly can't remember if
this when this started. Let's see if somebody else who is running iOS 8 and who
has a Windows 7 PC can try this and confirm what I get.

I was also able to do it with iPhone 4S IOS 6.x I have never gotten a error

do you get that error with other files, or just that certain one?

are you the admin of the PC?

Thanks, John, I'll have to look into this and maybe I'll just try on one of my
computers at work which don't even have iTunes installed to see if I can delete
pictures on my phone there. I can only be either Windows or iOS which prevents
me from doing so, more likely it's Windows.
