Re: USING APPLE KEYBOARD WITH MORE THAN ONE ITEM
Hi. If you happen to check this out, or if you know of anyone that does, please pass on a review. I have a mac, an iphone, and an ipad. I'm not sure how to disconnect the keyboard from the mac if I want to use it with the ipad or iphone. I don't have a usb keyboard attached to the mac so I just shut the mac down then I can connect it to the ipad. I am thinking seriously of getting another keyboard for the ipad, but if there is one that will switch, well. On the Logitech one I don't know yet as it hasn't arrived. On the second one, there is a pairing button right next to the on off switch, you hold it for 2 seconds, and your device finds it. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Blind Treasures Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 1:29 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: USING APPLE KEYBOARD WITH MORE THAN ONE ITEM Would you happen to know the key layout on this bt keyboard? RE: USING APPLE KEYBOARD WITH MORE THAN ONE ITEM
Hi, Aside from unpairing it from the first, you could shut down the first one, or turn off its blue tooth and then you should be able to use the keyboard with the other device. Re: USING APPLE KEYBOARD WITH MORE THAN ONE ITEM
You can pair with more than one but then you have to turn one off or be out of its range to use another. I've done it with two and in the Apple store questions I found people who had paired with three devices. it was warned that there may occasionally be problems and that it will tend to pair with the computer first so definitely don't be near your computer when trying to connect to something else or turn the bluetooth off on the one you don't want to connect with. -- Cheryl May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. I tried doing that so turned off the Bluetooth on my phone which was already paired to the keyboard but the pad wasunable to find my keyboard beeven though the keyboard was on. I guess I'll have another go but, if not, will just have to accept the situation. Re: USING APPLE KEYBOARD WITH MORE THAN ONE ITEM
You should be able to pair a bluetooth device with multiple iDevices, but you may need to turn the bluetooth device off and on before going from being paired from one to the other. As long as you're not in range of the other iDevices, or as long as neither of them are using the Bluetooth device, it should be fine. I do this with braille displays at work quite often.
