can't figure out how to go back a page in Safari with iOS

2014-03-17 Thread Christina C.
Hi,

I am sure that it's simple but I can't figure a easy and quick way to go back
or forward in Safari on my iPhone. When I read a web page the buttons disappear
and I just cannot figure out an easy way to get the menu at the bottom of the
screen to come back.

Thanks so much for any help,
Christina

Double-tap your status bar. usually, VO will tell you which page number you're
on in safari. At this point you can find your controls at the bottom of the
screen.

Re: can't figure out how to go back a page in Safari with iOS

2014-03-17 Thread Christina C.
When you say status bar, are you talking about the place on my phone where it
tells me the time and my signal stregnth? I have tried double tapping the title
of the web page but I always end up getting a edit text with the keyboard
popped up. Then I have to find the cancel button, then I can access the menu at
the bottom of the screen. This is a huge pain just to go back a page. :)

Thanks so much,

Re: can't figure out how to go back a page in Safari with iOS

2014-03-17 Thread Teresa Cochran
Yes, the area where the clock is. If you double-tap that, you won't get an edit
field. You've probably been double-tapping on the address field, and if you
double-tap that, you'll be editing your address. The clock area is just fine
for the purpose of activating your controls. in fact, if you have VO hints
turned on, you'll get the message when you touch the status bar that you can
double-tap on it to show the page controls.
