[Zope-dev] Multiple file upload in a single form

2008-05-13 Thread Suresh V.
Has anyone come across a Multiple File field type that be used in a form
, specifically with z3c.form? This will enable an unlimited number of
files to be uploaded in a single form.

I know this exists in the Plone world. Just wanted to check for an
analogous field for a zope3 application.

If there isn't one there already, we would like to implement one.
Any pointers welcome.

Thanks.

Suresh

Integrating something like JUpload should be fairly trivial.

[Zope-dev] Software developer for a Zope3 project needed

2008-05-13 Thread Hermann Himmelbauer
Hi,
We are currently looking out for a Zope3/Python developer for an interesting
project lasting approx. 30 to 35 days. I can't give exact details yet, but
the following profile should be met:

- High Zope3 skills - the project is 100% based on Zope3 technology, moreover,
the project may include Zope3 enhancements that should find it's way into the
Zope3 SVN, therefore involvement in the Zope3 community is a clear advantage.
- Good Python and HTML knowledge

The following points would be an advantage:

- z3c.form/pagelet knowhow as our project is based on these packages
- Knowledge about mobile-phone development (XHTML MP) and CSS
- German speaking
- The project can probably not be done from remote, personal presence will be
required. Our location is near Vienna (Austria/Europe), so if you are located
near us, things are a lot simpler.

The exact schedule is not yet planned, but will be somewhere in june to
august.

Please contact me, if you interested or want to know further details!

Best Regards,
Hermann

[Zope-dev] Update on my buildbot

2008-05-13 Thread Christian Theune
Hi,

my buildbot (http://zopebuildbot.whq.gocept.com) has been running fine for a
while now and I started sending out notifications to myself and would like to
open up the failing build notifications to the public.

The other buildbot sends mails to this list which I consider currently not
practicable for my installation as there are about 57 projects that fail (and
337 that work).

The current notification mode sends a message on every failed build. Another
option would be to only send notifications when the build status changes from
the last time.

Oppinions?

Christian

I prefer the latter idea, of only sending status change notifications.
 But what would be *really* cool is if anyone who is interested could
sign up for particular package builds, and only get emails about
failures for those packages. I imagine this is somewhat non-trivial
though, so I'd be happy with the latter of the two options you
presented.

Right. It was deliberately removed because binary eggs should never ever

Could someone please fix it?

I'm cc'ing Stephan Richter who maintains the KGS. I think this is a

What packages are not released on PyPI yet? I was under the impression

Ah, for the 3.4 kgs which is discussed here that is probably true, so
it should indeed work without the find-links. But for example the
Grok 0.12 versions file needs a few package versions that never made
it to the cheese shop so in that case find-links is still needed. It
should not be necessary in the future.

[Zope-dev] AW: NotFound

 What kind of a location does it provide?

Nothing, the NotFound object is not locatable.
but I guess it should, because it contains the
real (context) in self.ob.

Since the NotFound object doesn't provide a location
all viewlets or absolute_utl calls in the same layout
template or metal layout slot used by the NotFound page
run into a location exception.

This makes it impossible to use viewlets as menu items
because the NotFound object messes up the real location.

I solved that problem with providing a custom NotFound page
which uses the self.ob as it's real context:

class NotFoundPagelet(browser.BrowserPagelet, NotFound):
NotFound is a view on the real context and not a view on NotFound.

def __init__(self, context, request):
self.context = context.ob
self.request = request

def render(self):
self.request.response.setStatus(404)
template = zope.component.getMultiAdapter((self, self.request),
IPageTemplate)
return template(self)

This prevents to mess up the menu items becaues it provides
the context which is responsible for running into a NotFound
object (e.g. self.context = context.ob).

Regards
Roger Ineichen
