Just received the new Oliver Ho album in the post, it's called 'The
Soft Machine' and is coming out on Meta. Listening to it right now in
fact and have to say that I'm rather enjoying it. There's a track
that samples Steve Reich (always the way to win favour with me) +
lots of 313
my last 12 on MOS(Kaoz) sold pretty ok, and i made 86 euro´s with it. Vinyl
is way too expensive to press, promote and distribute for smaller labels,
specially since they only get attention if you buy some of the heads with some
freebee copies. I mean, I´m only making 86 euro´s...no room for
Check his label Light and Dark for some really deep stuff, also an early
doublepack on Blueprint (09??) was excellent.
Some pretty dense techno there, but with infinite more substance than a
lopped banger.
Take a look at his label Chango for some slower, funked out stuff.

I really like OH production and seeing him live at Split last Feb really
brought this home for me.
He seems to have gone up a level and I really admire the way he attacks his
work..
I have got it on order and should receive it soon..I can't wait

In my experience, the S.I.D shop is so busy over festival time that you
don't actually need to make an appointment, you just have to get there
