Correct me if I'm wrong, but the tonearm should only 'wiggle' depending on the 'centricity' of the plug - i.e., if the plug is off-center, the tonearm will waver accordingly. Otherwise, the tonearm should always relate equally to the center of the record, right? There should really be no variance

With no anti-skate, the cartridge will get natrually pulled towards the center of the record due to the forces involved in a spinning object. Put a blank sided record on, turn off the anti-skate and place the arm down on it (get ready to catch it quickly) - you'll see that it'll fly towards the

Yeah thanks to Sakke for finally sorting my decks out! It was indeed a simple matter of anti-skate weight just being at the right settings - and one of the feet being loose on one deck. I tested it with cueing spin-backs the needle just stayed in that groove :O) cheers! G.
