If you have the data I can help now... It sounds like there is a mixup - or miscommunication, is this lsa crashing or a memory leak? Data collection will differ depending on which. steve - Original Message - From: Lucas, Bryan [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: ActiveDir@mail.activedir.org

HP provides support for USB devices prior to the operating system loading through legacy USB support, which is enabled by default in the system ROM. http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/platforms/usb-support.html Can you disable that in the bios? Disable legacy USB support? Brian

name is the RDNvalue, the RDN attribute for those objects is the CN... So for that object type, you can't have name of one thing and CN of something else. An another example, the RDN attribute of an organizationalUnit is OU. Soin that case name and OU will always be the same...

It could be the type of USB drive you are using.. the stick and the floppy aren't seen as a bootable drive. Albert Duro wrote: I could not find the letters USB anywhere in the BIOS, and I looked down every menu tree. The paper you reference says that the DL380 does not support hot plug USB.

And have you tried booting the server with the USB drive formatted as a system drive? So far, your original statement has not been proven, and if the server boots properly with that USB drive formatted in a bootable fashion, then your original statement is actually *disproven*. Also, I don't know

Another thing, on HPQ's site if you go under support/downloads and search DL380 G3 you'll get some choices, among them DL380 Rack server or something like that, once you choose that you get all the downloads. One of them is a utility for formatting USB Keys for booting 380s. Never used it but it's
