Re: Updating many (>million) keywords max CPCbids

2018-03-08 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Lasse,

It is not possible to modify the bid of the keywords without knowing their
ids. You have to retrieve the keyword first and get their ids and then
increase their bids using the BatchJobService
.

You may use the CampaignCriterionOperation

 or
the AdGroupCriterionOperation

 for
the batch process. Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks and regards,
Luis

Re: CallStructure - Authorization : Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN

2018-03-08 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi German,

Could you confirm if you have completed the steps mentioned in this guide
 and
was able to generate the refreshToken? If yes, could you also confirm if
you are using the client libraries and storing the credentials in the
property file? I asked because if you are using any of the client libraries
of the AdWords API
 and have
stored all the credentials in the property/configuration file, the
accessToken should be automatically generated/renewed

 and
you should no longer need to input them manually.

Also since you are using the SOAP UI, then, there would be no way for you
to include the authorization URL as this is generated in the back end and
passed automatically in the request. However, if you still wish to use
other means aside from the client libraries, you will need to implement
your own OAuth2 flow by referring to this guide

.

Peter

Re: Retrieving Adwords Ads Extension Data using API

Hi Asad,

There are no other API services that would get the actual value of the
"Level" field based on your screenshot. In the Placeholder Report

 also,
there is no "Level" field. For the CampaignId and AdGroupId fields in this
report type, these will return the values of both the CampaignId and
AdGroupId fields even though your extension is on campaign level only.

Hi Milind,

That worked. Now I am facing a different problem where the deleted objects
return ACTIVE status instead of DELETED/REMOVED.
For example) Consider, I am creating 5 campaign level audience association
and deleting 5 campaign level audience association. Now in the response (
CampaignCriterionReturnValue), I am getting status=ACTIVE for all the 10
audience associations. Is it the expected behavior?

Thanks,

Re: GetIdeas example - ApiException not instance of Throwable?

Hi Josh

Wonderful, that would set me back alittle...

Yes, I'm using Android Studio for my first Android app. It uses not only
Google AdWords API but also Google Maps API. I felt like Android Studio
would
be a good starting point. Do I need to get Eclipse with Maven just for
AdWords and develop everything else in Android Studio? Currently, my
problem to make
my code run is this ApiException class that seem to need RemoteException.
If there is no default way of getting RMI for Android Studio, then I don't
have
much options left.

Why is it needed for ApiException with AdWords?

Kind regards
Richard

 1) Yes, it is intentional as I first believed that by placing the jar

Updating many (>million) keywords max CPCbids

2018-03-08 Thread lasse . robroek
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to increase the max CPC bid on a keyword
level using a batch process without first retrieving the keywords (so
without requesting the AdGroupCriterion object for these keywords). For
instance: I would like to be able to increase the Max CPC bids for all
keywords in a specific Campaign (on a keyword level) with 20%. However I
would like to avoid requesting all the AdGroupCriterion because this
campaign might contain > 1million keywords.

Thanks in advance,

Lasse

Re: How can I get developer token to test api in test account adwords?

2018-03-08 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

The 'invalid_grant' error usually occurs when the access token or refresh
token is invalid or incorrect. Could you try regenerating the tokens

 following
the steps in the linked guide? To verify that your credentials are correct,
you could also try the CURL request provided below and see if you are able
to generate the access token.

curl https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v4/token \
-d refresh_token= \
-d client_id= \
-d client_secret= \
-d grant_type=refresh_token

If you are still facing issues, could you please create a new thread and
share the details of the error there? That will help us keep better track
of the issues.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Re: How to map Keywords report and call metrics call details report ?

2018-03-08 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Pravin,

You are right, the equivalent of that UI report is not available in the
API. By using multiple reports you may be able to derive this data. To get
the keywords that triggered a specific Ad, you could use Ad Performance
Report

 and
look for Id

, AdGroupId

, CriterionId

, CriterionType

 (KEYWORDS).
You will have to get the stats related to the calls separately from the Call
Metrics Call Details Report
.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

I did not get what you meant by 'authorize'. You can either link the client
accounts directly to your MCC or have a Client MCC linked to your MCC.
Please refer this
section of Help Center guide for better clarity. If you use
ManagedCustomerService.get()
and

pass the client customer ID

of the client manager account, you will be able to get the client accounts
under that manager account. Please let me know if you have further

 Hi Richard,

 Thanks for sending over that info. I noticed two things about your
 *dependencies* section:

 1. The dependencies for the Google Ads APIs Client Library for Java are
 commented out:

 //implementation 'com.google.api-ads:ads-lib:3.10.0'
 //implementation 'com.google.api-ads:adwords-axis:1.38.0'

 Was that intentional, and was that the state of the config when you
 tried to run the example? With those two lines commented out, none of the
 library's classes will be on the classpath.

 2. The versions specified for the two Google Ads APIs Client Library
 for Java do not match. For example, if you're using *3.10.0* for
 *ads-lib*, you should also use *3.10.0* for *adwords-axis*. Although
 Maven requires separate versions for each dependency, in practice we
 always
 keep all of our Maven artifacts on the same version. The latest version
 for
 the library is 3.12.0
 .

 Thanks,
 Josh, AdWords API Team

Re: Retrieving Adwords Ads Extension Data using API

2018-03-08 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Asad,

I am a teammate of Bharani and I will provide support to you as she is OOO.

For your concern, you can still use the
CampaignExtensionSettingService.get()

 and
include the extensionType

 in
your selector fields for the "Extension Type". For the "Level", this is not
explicitly available as field in the API. If you'll use the
CampaignExtensionSettingService and your extensions are retrieved, then
the level of these extensions is on campaign level. If you will be using
AdGroupExtensionSettingService

 on
retrieving your extensions and they are retrieved, then their level is on
ad group level.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks,
Vincent

Create Client only account for API usage

2018-03-08 Thread TheGMUniverse
Hi,

we want to authorize client accounts, so we can manage their adgroups and
stuff, but the question is, everytime a new customers comes to us, do they
have to make a Client manager account?
If so, how can i get the customer client IDs, where the campaigns are
located, (so not the ID of the ClientManager Account, but the actual
clients)

At the moment when someone logs in with their account, they are an Manager
and have 1 user, with 2 campaigns under them, the issue is, when i try to
fetch the client customer id from their account, it gives me the id of the
manager, and not the ones of the client, where the campaigns are located.

Im sorry for a really confused question, it caused alot of confusion here
too haha

CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT: Campaigns starting with AWN showing up

2018-03-08 Thread Tiana S.
Hi guys,

Quick question. When requesting data from the Campaign performance report
some campaigns (seemingly generated) show up that start with `AWN_001:`.
The campaigns are not showing in the AdWords interface, so where do they
come from?

In my search I found this old post about `AWX` campaigns, which are
automatically generated by AdWords Express.
Is this something similar, perhaps new in the new AdWords experience?

Thanks in advance.

INVALID_CONVERSION_TYPE when conversion name exists.

2018-03-08 Thread Prasann Sawant
I have been uploading offline conversions successfully for a few months,
but it
has stopped working from last 2 days . I now see
INVALID_CONVERSION_TYPE errors which means that there is no conversion with
the
specified name (according to the docs
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201402/OfflineConversionFeedService#OfflineConversionError
).
However, I can see that the conversion type that I named does exist. Am I
mis-interpreting the error message, or is there another reason why I would
be
seeing this?

I am using ruby library for for offline conversion.
please check below code:

def upload_offline_conversions(conversion_name, google_click_id,
   conversion_time, conversion_value)
  # AdwordsApi::Api will read a config file from ENV['HOME']/adwords_api.yml
  # when called without parameters.
  adwords = AdwordsApi::Api.new("adwords_api.yml")

  # To enable logging of SOAP requests, set the log_level value to 'DEBUG'
in
  # the configuration file or provide your own logger:
  # adwords.logger = Logger.new('adwords_xml.log')

  conversion_feed_srv =
  adwords.service(:OfflineConversionFeedService, API_VERSION)

  # Associate offline conversions with the existing named conversion
tracker. If
  # this tracker was newly created, it may be a few hours before it can
accept
  # conversions.
  feed = {
:conversion_name => conversion_name,
:google_click_id => google_click_id,
:conversion_time =>conversion_time,
:conversion_value => conversion_value
  }
  return_feeds = conversion_feed_srv.mutate([
{:operator => 'ADD', :operand => feed}])
  return_feeds[:value].each do |return_feed|
puts ("Uploaded offline conversion value %.2f for Google Click ID '%s',
" +
'to %s') % [return_feed[:conversion_value],
return_feed[:google_click_id],
return_feed[:conversion_name]]
  end
end

Thanks

SET_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED

2018-03-08 Thread Sriram V
Hi All,

I am trying to delete a campaign audience association. Hence when I set the
status as removed and push it through CampaignCriterionServiceInterface(from
adwords-axis) I get a message

> OperationAccessDenied{apiErrorType=OperationAccessDenied,
> errorString=OperationAccessDenied.SET_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED,
> fieldPath=operations[0].operand.campaignCriterionStatus,
> fieldPathElements=[FieldPathElement{field=operations, index=0},
> FieldPathElement{field=operand},
> FieldPathElement{field=campaignCriterionStatus}],
> reason=SET_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED, trigger=DELETED}

The interesting part is, I can create objects, edit their bid adjustment,
but not able to remove the audience association object. Any help on this?

Thanks,
Sriram

CustomerSyncService bug? Id of removed AdGroup does not appear in CustomerChangeData.changedCampaigns.changedAdGroups

2018-03-08 Thread ivan . kharybin
Hello!

So I removed test adgroup from one of my campaigns and so far there hasn't
been any update in API response of CustomerSyncService.get method: neither
campaign is considered changed in any way, nor the specified adgroup is. Is
this an expected behavior or a bug?

Re: How to map Keywords report and call metrics call details report ?

2018-03-08 Thread Frequence Inc
Hi Sreelakshmi,

Thanks for clarifying.

However, i have one more question around this. So, once I am logged in on
Adwords dashboard, From "Reporting" icon (seen on the top right hand corner
of this dashboard), clicking on it, if I select predefined report -> basic
-> call details, it gives me a report for an advertiser containing call
details mapped to each keyword in an AdGroup.

So does this mean that we can't get call stats that we see on such
pre-defined reports mapped to each keyword through multiple AdWords reports
like using Keyword Performance report and Call Metrics Call Details Report ?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Pravin Sreedharan.

Hi Josh

Wasn't jcenter replacing mavenCentral?

But why do I still get RemoteException and why is the ApiException still a
problem (underlined red and something about Throwable)?

Kind regards
Richard
