Re: Adwords Click Performance Report

2018-04-10 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi VJ,

You may refer below for my answers to your questions :

*1) I am seeking a report/data/confirmation of whether or not these GCLIDs
were deemed VALID or INVALID on a click-by-click level, not as an
aggregate. *
* The current API report lumps together all valid and invalid clicks (with
no differentiation or labels), and therefore, I cannot determine whether
these individual clicks are valid or invalid. I'm seeking a report that
labels EACH INDIVIDUAL click as valid or invalid.*

Although certain AdWords API reports support the InvalidClicks

 field,
I'm afraid that there is currently no way via the Click Performance Report
or any report to associate this to a Gclid. There is currently no report
where you can be able to determine (through a field or flag) whether a
click (Gclid) is invalid or not.

**2) *How can I obtain data/report/confirmation of the CPC/Price paid on a
click-by-click level (linked to each GCLID on the API report).*

Associating Gclids

 to
metrics is currently not possible via the AdWords API's reports as it is
only available via the Click Performance Report. For more information
regarding which other conversion related fields are supported in the
reports, you may refer to this guide

.

Best regards,
Peter

Re: Other search terms in search query report

2018-04-10 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tirtha,

Yes, I got your private message and I have also replied to you privately.
If you have not received my reply, pasting it again below:

Thanks for providing the screenshot. If you will click the "Other search
terms" question mark button in the AdWords UI, these are search terms that
you didn't get any clicks within the last 30 days. You may also refer to
this post

 from
the AdWords Community Forum which discusses more in detail the "Other
search terms".

If you will check the Search Query Performance Report,

all attributes, segments and metrics do not support zero impressions
(Supports Zero Impressions = False). Therefore, the "Other search terms"
with no clicks is not supported in this report type in the AdWords API. I
believe that AdWords UI will only show you the total "Other search terms"
statistics, but will not show you the breakdown of the "Other search terms"
themselves.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: Ads with non-zero impressions not entering enabled state with daily segmentation in AdPerformanceReport

2018-04-10 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Felix,

The Status

 field
in the Ad Performance Report is of the type Attribute

 which
will return the current state state of the account, ignoring the timespan
of the report. So pulling the API report to retrieve status based on date,
will return the current status of the Ad.

Let me know if you have any additonal questions.

Re: How to check my adwords account is MCC or not MCC?

2018-04-10 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

You can perform a ManagedCustomerService.get()

 operation
and check for the canManageClients

 value.
If the value is true, it means that the account CID specified can manage
other client accounts.

As for your second concern, you could use the Account Hierarchy code sample

 in
Java, which will return the complete account hierarchy for the CID
specified in the request header. Code samples in other languages can be
found here .
Could you please try this out and let me know if you have any other
questions?

Hello Thao,

If you're facing an issue uploading the Customer email list using the
AdWords API, could you please elaborate, so I can take a look? You may
refer to the caveats guide

 for
better understanding. If you continue to have an issue with this, could you
please share the complete SOAP request and response logs for the upload
operation along with the clientCustomerId, so I can take a look? You can
reply back via the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks,

Re: Account creation and billing informaiton

2018-04-10 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Robin,

Please find my *inline* response below:

1. I just want to clarify one point that is not exactly answered; a little
extension on question 4. An AdWords API created client account will not be
able to serve ads unless:

   1. The AdWordsSession used to create the client account is using a
client customer id of a manager account
   2. The manager account used in the AdWordsSession has consolidated
   billing set up

If any of these conditions are not met, the created client account will
just be a AdWords account that cannot serve any ads until someone goes to
the AdWords dashboard console to access the new created account to set up
billing.
*Yes*.

2.Another question I would like to ask is what happens if the client
customer id of the AdWordsSession is of a client account? Will the account
still be created?
*No, you need to set client customer id of manager account. Otherwise you
will get M**anagedCustomerServiceError.NOT_AUTHORIZED error.*

3.If so, I would like to confirm that the answer to my question 4,1 - " If
so and assuming the answer I got from the help center is entirely correct,
then can I conclude that it is not possible to create an AdWords client
account via API that can actually run campaigns? " is yes as the only
suggested add billing information method in the guide is to use the AdWords
UI; i.e. it is not possible to create an AdWords client account that can
serve ads via API unless the manager account used to create this new client
account (via API) has consolidation billing setup.
*Yes. You can create client account by setting CID of manger account in
AdWordsSession. You can set up billing via AdWords dashboard console, then
your ads will serve the live data. Other option would be, after creating
the client account via API, **you can do a BudgetOrderService.mutate() via
API and add budget orders to new client accounts (which did not have any
billing setup since its creation) via API, If the MCC is on consolidated
billing.*

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

If you're using AdWords API, through the clientCustomer Id information, it
is not possible to lookup if the account is linked to Google Analytics. You
will need to log in to your AdWords accounts and check the Linked accounts
by following the steps mentioned in this guide

Unsupported Content Label Exclusions

2018-04-10 Thread Dorian Kind
Hi all,

currently there's a number of content label exclusions that can be set in
the Web UI, but are returned with ContentLabelType "UNKNOWN" and thus
cannot be added to a campaign or account using the API. As far as I can
see, the following content labels are affected:

"Content suitable for families": Returned as a single criterion with
"UNKOWN" type
"Sensitive social issues": Returned as two separate criteria, both with
type "UNKNOWN"
"Tragedy and conflict": Returned as two separate criteria types, one being
"TRAGEDY" and one "UNKNOWN"

What's interesting about the last case is that when you add the "TRAGEDY"
criterion on the account level, the "Tragedy and conflict" checkbox in the
web UI is checked, even without adding the second "UNKNOWN" criterion
(which is of course impossible anyway).
Could it be that the second "UNKNOWN" criterion in that scenario refers to
the no longer available "CONFLICT" content label?

As for the first two cases, when can we expect to be able to set these
exclusions over the API? Or are these referring to obsolete content labels
as well?

Thanks for your feedback and best regards,
Dorian

Re: Ads with non-zero impressions not entering enabled state with daily segmentation in AdPerformanceReport

2018-04-10 Thread Felix
Hi Bharani,

I think I have intepreted the field "Status" of an ad incorrectly, because
it is an attribute and just shows the most recent status of an ad -
regardless of the segementation.
Thus, I'm not able to see the time intervals when specific ads have been
enabled, paused or disabled.

Is there still a way to retrieve the status of an ad based on the date or
do I have to receive this info indirectly by intepreting the metrics?

Re: CustomerService getCustomers results in CUSTOMER_NOT_FOUND error

2018-04-10 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

The error AuthenticationError.CUSTOMER_NOT_FOUND

 means
that you are trying to access an account that was just created with
ManagedCustomerService before the account is established in the backend.
This being said, could you clarify if what you meant by "client id" is the
clientCustomerId that is being used in the header?

Also, to further investigate this, could you provide the complete SOAP
request and response logs when you encountered the error? Please reply via
*Reply

Thanks and regards,
Luis

Keywords Match : Broad Match Modifier Via API

2018-04-10 Thread Luigi Taccetta
Looking at the MatchType for the API v201802
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201802/AdGroupCriterionService.Keyword?csw=1#matchType

seems there is no option for "Broad Match Modifier".

Is there a better way then adding a plus (+) to each word and defining it
as "board" match as suggested in this post
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/adwords-api/LImbJeTprdA/b02SprhIe5QJ;context-place=forum/adwords-api

Re: Getting QuotaCheckError.INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER Error for some requests since April 10

2018-04-10 Thread alexander.daniel via AdWords API Forum
 Hi,

we are seeing the same error and sometimes it works. We even re-generated
the developer token in the AdWords API Center but that didn't help. We also
didn't deploy any changes. For us it the issue started to happen at 18:11
UTC yesterday (2018-04-09).

Best,
Alexander

Hi!

Since last night, the following request causes an INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER.
These requests did not cause an error before last night:

We have not changed the code in any way, nor changed the developer token in

some requests do work and others don't.

p.s. I tried posting this issue earlier but didn't see the topic in the
forum, so I've resubmitted this. If that is problematic please remove one

Getting QuotaCheckError.INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER Error for some requests since April 10

2018-04-10 Thread Ate Fokkinga

Hi!

We have a connection between our SaaS product and Google Adwords running
for several customers. It runs a daily export to Adwords. Starting last
night, the exports started failing with a `INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER` error.

There has been no change in our code between the last correct export and
the failing export and we haven't changed any settings in the API centre.
Furthermore, some requests still occur correctly and others don't.

For example this request is handled correctly:

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/;
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;
xmlns:tns="https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/mcm/v201802;
xmlns:jaxb="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jaxb;
xmlns:cm="https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201802;>

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/mcm/v201802;
xmlns="https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/mcm/v201802;>
  __our_user_agent__
  __our_developer_token__
  __our_client_customer_id__

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/mcm/v201802;>

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201802;>CustomerId
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201802;>Name
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201802;>AccountLabels

  ExcludeHiddenAccounts
  EQUALS
  true

And this request causes an error:

http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/;
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;
xmlns:tns="https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/rm/v201802;

This causes me to suspect the AdwordsUserList service as a culprit. But I
can't explain why the above request would function correctly two days ago,
and stop failing with a INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER error yesterday.

Hopefully you can help me shed light on this topic. I've replaced our
userAgent, developerToken and clientCustomerId with other values in the two
posted requests.

Intermittent QuotaCheckError.INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER / C# API / UserListService

2018-04-10 Thread robert
I'm using the C# API, application is in development hitting a test ad
account.I'm receiving an INVALID_TOKEN_HEADER error on some requests, but
the same request works about 30% of the time. I'm only seeing this with the
UserListService, other requests with the same credentials are working
consistently. Request log is below if anyone can help. Thanks.

CustomerService getCustomers results in CUSTOMER_NOT_FOUND error

2018-04-10 Thread yhmin
Dear,

I tried getCustomers of CustomerService to get list of customer ids from
user's access_token, but CUSTOMER_NOT_FOUND happened.
I read these articles below but there is no case which is similar to the my
user's case.
https://www.mail-archive.com/adwords-api@googlegroups.com/msg60732.html
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/L6OVDmG8y3Y
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/adwords-api/customer_not_found%7Csort:date/adwords-api/4HhGYAXDxhc/7JtYMk73BQAJ

I cannot use ManagedCustomerService because I have no client id which can
get from getCustomerService of CustomerService.
I waited almost one hour after receiving the access_token and try again,
but same error happened.

Is there another way to solve this problem?

So our team could better identify the cause of the error, could you provide
your clientCustomerId, the batch job IDs and the SOAP request and response
that were generated when the issue occurred? You may send your reply via
