Kansas and Missouri if anyone is interested.

yeah I saw that in the Cambium forums that you posted Hey Cambium! your
gear is expensive! How about a little help with your expensive gear that we
have purchased a lot of here please?

we see the same thing sometimes. it seems to happen if the network
glitches and the AP fails to reach the server 5 times then it just hangs in
the "down" state and never tries to recover. i've opened several forum
posts with no answer from cambium. we just reboot and move on which is a
PITA
Cnmaestro keeps claiming that my AP's are down even though they are
perfectly accessible at all times.
This is a local server. It drives me nuts and the only that I can see to
fix it is to reboot. Anyone have any insight on why this happens? Or how to
fix without a reboot?

Boring does not work so well in rock. For that you need a rock saw. If it is
loose rock and soil, then plowing would be the best way to go. The drill
vendors all do demos of drilling through solid rock, but that is not reality.
Vermeer makes some really good rock saw/trencher products.
Aerial could be like 20% of the cost of underground if your utility says
"you can go on the poles right away, just pay a few small fees" or 100% if
they say "every pole on that road is at capacity [aka old/unsafe] so you
need to pay to get them all replaced before you can attach".
Did you drive
Need a quick relative cost of underground versus aerial deployment in a
foothills area where there is a lot of granite so will need a high
percentage of boring.
Would aerial cost likely be 50% of underground? 40%. 30%???

Connect Plus was the first Motorola DMR true trunk system with a control
channel and multi site. It has been superceded by the Cap Max system. All
channels we have are FB8 of course. I aquired a bunch in our area that were
old UHF paging licenses in an FCC auction maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It's
I had a customer call yesterday saying he suddenly received 4000 emails in

have heard lots of email problems through the years, but suddenly 4000

Shrugs, email is a easy digest for me.. I can usually make it through the
email threads in between other stuff, and there is less distraction then FB.

Lewis,
So your operating either a Motorola Capacity Max or Hytera Tier 3 with
control channels on an FB8 license? Not a Capacity Plus system?

i find it a fair trade off in cost. We were in process of pulling the 450
trigger when we tossed up EPMP for kicks. For the price on our size sites
with only 20 to 40 customers per AP lacking ICC and tones is a non issue.
You have to touch them all to verify firmare anyway, dumping config only
