Yeah, hard external soles help. On a rohn25, I straddle a side bar and put
a foot on each side. Y lanyard up top at different points, and I use a
petzl grillion to lock me in place where I can just sit down in my harness
seat. It's rather comfortable, but not as nice as sitting attop an SSV.

We used to have a cool platform which was light but sturdy. It was
designed by my brother and welded by my cousins fabrication shop. It got
left on tower somewhere in south Texas. We copied idea from a tower
outfit out of Atlanta.

Well the boots support my feet well on towerson Rohn 25 it is tough to
comfortably fit both boots to work. On Syscom model 35 they fit well. My
feet didn't hurt at all...so I am happy.

toe, composite shank, oil resistant tread, 8", thinsulated, no raised
heel, waterproof, shock resistant to some insane level. I bought them

For years I have worn Caterpillar or Wolverine boots. Today my wife got me
a pair of Chinook Tarantulas ...let's see how they feel after a few days...
Right know they are comfortable but stiff. My get some Dr Scholls inserts
later... My feet have been aching so hope these help. Has anyone had
eek though to work in .. previous pair never seemed to need
