I haven't used them, but there could still be frame size issues or other protocol issues by having an active device in the middle. I think CE (not widely adopted in the WISP market due to MT not supporting it) requires every active device to be CE. I think, not certain. - Mike Hammett

Like Sean said, it should be safe to go direct. No 450/430 interop involved, so none of those issues. You may want to follow the SM first then AP procedure though just be more safe. Auto-update the SMs first, then update the AP. And definitely get on the latest CNUT. I think you still have to

I have a 430 site that has been getting interference lately, when the interference happens some SM's drop off of the Sector and then they won't reconnect until the customer power cycles their SM, this is on 12.1, is this a known problem? Really annoying
