Yeah, per call is good if you have your office phone system menus set up in 
such a way as to minimize the number of calls that go there.

I.E. off hours sales can go to voicemail, off hours billing calls get a 
reminder they can do online billing before you forward to call center, etc.

Huh, they're based in Wenatchee...  Cost of living is quite low in many of
those agricultural towns in that area. Quincy, Wenatchee, Ellensburg,
Othello, etc.

Salaries for first-tier phone support are probably not very high, but they
don't need to be.

Agreed. One of the biggest things that is going to make it worthwhile is 
having the ability for them to quickly find your customer information 
and enter tickets/call logs/etc into your CRM system, and I am pretty 
sure SP is integrated with pretty much everyone (as well as being stand 
up guys.)

last time i looked into this, for about 1k customers worth of calls it
would cost about 22k a year for 24x7 answering in english with basic sales
scripts and better than geek squad tech support, is this still a decent
rule of thumb?
