I use beta 58s for vocals at our monthly concerts but I find that for some
female voices they need to be cleaned up a bit by taking out about 6 dB at
450 Hz. Not sure why but the old non beta 58 does not seem to have this
problem.

Ah what happens? Like why do you have to clean them? Too bright or
something?

Hi Dane and others on this list.
Sorry I've not contributed much to this thread for quite a while but
personal circumstances have forced me to do other things.
Firstly, Dane, I'm delighted you have also got an 8n. As far as I know,
that's 2 of us so far on this list!.

Hi there,
I’m about to post some more motes on the Zoom F8N which may help you.
I too will be keeping my Zoom H6 as its such a wonderful piece of kit.
You can use the Zoom SH6 etc capsules on the F8N and I have done so Today.
The Zoom F8N is the highest quality recorder I’ve ever used going all the
I finally managed to get the Zoom F8N recorder going this morning and the
process was easy enough though you will certainly need sighted assistance to
start the ball rolling
The first thing that needs to be done when you turn the F8N on is to set the
date and the time, there seems to be no way o
No sir. It indeed is 24 bit. Ah so ya got it going then. Can't wait to
hear a full 192 24 bit file from it. But yeah the H6 is so super epic!
Especially compaired to everything else I've ever had. The only thing
that kinda matches it XLR wize is the Olympus LS-100. But the H6 is
crisper shinier
Don't quite know how that slate mike that's built in works but that's
what it is. It's a slate mike so you can keep in touch with the
dirrector. Remember now this is totally into movie making stuff now.
Apparently even more so than the H6.

totally be what I'd try with it. I'd probabally set it up someware like
movie sound guys do though. Walking arround may not be easy. Especiially
