Hi,
I have 2 problems with envy24control.
1. All the sliders are horizontal (!) and therefore adjustments to them are
tricky ;-).
I have updated alsa to 1.0.5 using the packman rpms. Envy24control is version
0.5.0. KDE 3.2.2.
2. after starting envy24control I get the following error message:

To help you to better understand whats happening there, let me try to
explain the envy24control as I understand it (and I may be wrong).

Yes, I set mine all the way up, but I find the output of the 2496 under
Alsa to be less than it's output under Windows so I feel I need the full

The short answer, is that they are the
"In.Put.Gain.Adjust". They are meant to
be used only after the normal AtoD input
level has been maxed, as these controls
add gain at the same time as they add
noise.
My problem is that I can no longer

Hello all,
I posted a message last week about my problems with Envy24control which
has still not been replied to. I still have not resolved the issue. To
recap:
I installed the alsa-0.9rc1 packages on my Red Hat 7.3 box (with M-Audio
Delta 1010 card). The driver and libs compiled without issue.
Greetings,
I just installed the latest (ftp) alsa packages on my RH 7.3 box (with
M-Audio Delta 1010). Compilation and installation went fine, but when I
try to run envy24control, I get the following error:

This would seem to imply that there is a library

the envy24control program from alsa-tools.
There is a difference in output volume levels between selecting "PCM

noticeably softer than "Digital Mix".

Get the latest cvs. There are improvements in the
ice1712 stuff. I have my Delta 44 running sweetly now.
You may want to look at amixer as well, because it has all of

it alsa has an analog input gain control that envy24control
