I'd like to utilise the jacks of my ALC1150 HDA device as separate
stereo outputs.
I have a motherboard with onboard audio powered by the ALC1150 chipset.
The board has 5 stereo jacks (Green, Black, Orange, Pink, Blue), which
by default are assigned:
- 6 channel/5.1 out: Green
Well I'm stuck, so I thought I'd share my woes to see if anyone had a
magic trick i've missed.
The short story:
My Storage Server / HTPC was getting a bit long in the tooth, so I
decided to update the distro from Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 Desktop.
This update happened without any issues, except that

In my hardware there is processor which will act as mixer so i wrote plug in
for ALSA to make processor as mixer for ALSA.
The plugin is in C++ as i m using qdus and generated shared library and copied
into /usr/lib/alsa-lib/.
My plugin name is Myplug.
when i use
amixer -D Myplug set
Opening alsamixer shows the default, usb quickcam
I can change to SI7012 and there all sliders are up. Maybe the problem
lies how to define default. I have been looking for udev rules, for
asound.conf entries but to without positive results.

i am trying to get the terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96 card to work on linux using
alsa. the playback seems alright, but the Microphone In input doesn't work.
Is that because i misconfigured something, or are there problems with the

I installed the driver, libs, utils. Than I edithed the /etc/modules.config in made
