Hi Bart,
You could also consider using the Private User Group Scheme, which is common in
RedHat linux.
Every user is put in his own private group. All umask are 002. Each homedir is
owned by the user and
has the gid of the user. So nobody has 'illegal' access to it.
Then each project dir is

Hi,
is it possible with amanda to make a rait set consisting of only two
tapes, as to say just RAIT level 0 - striping without parity?
We have two DLT 8000 drives. Of course we could use them as a tape
changer, but I would prefer a stripe because of larger dumpable
partitions and higher

Hi,
We are running informix 7.3 with Amanda 2.4 on Solaris 2.6.
We have a dilemma with regard to backing up our Informix Dbase.
We have a 120 Gig dbase we normally backup via the Informix ''ontape''
utility.
Doing this gives us the 'roll forward' capability. So that in the event
of a crash.

Building 2.4.3b4 raised once again a question in my mind.
There are several things amanda/configure checks for for which
there could be several choices on the same machine. Some of
these have configure options to select the builders preference.
Others can be hand-tuned in config.h. Here are

No dice. I did actually run the amreport with the -l option prior to responding to

I have tried it just as you have outlined below, again not a single line of output

Any other ideas?
