I do agree.
It may also fix some issues we have, which make us using mutex.

but there is a problem
if I send a message before the SB is open, there is high probability to get
an unable to deliver error. For me it's not a great problem, I just wait to
press enter, but most users don't understand why it
The message is buffered, afaik, but sometimes the connection times out
and then the SB never gets opened and then you get the failed to
send message. There could be a sending... message that changes to
failed when this happens.
