I have two questions, one is if I have multiple log files from multiple
machines is it ok to point analog at all of them and ignore or disable the
warning for the overlapping time period?
The other is, is it ok to generate cache files for each of these log files on
the original web server, then
I just installed Analog 4.0 (very nice!) on my Solaris box. Everything is
going well, except I cannot get the Operating System Report to come out.
in anlghea2.h:
#define BROWSER (FALSE) ...I've also tried TRUE
#define FULLBROWSER (TRUE)
#define OSREP (TRUE)
no mention of these in analog.cf

If a user has their browser set to check for newer versions of a page each
time the browser is started up, and they leave their browser on all day, and
view a particular page 20 times during the course of that day -- that means
that their browser didn't even check for a new page 19 of those 20 tim

Oh, sorry!
I thought you mean IIS - but it's Web Proxy, which I use of course not

Stephen,
The release is labeled "pre" since packages are still being added. There is
nothing alpha about this release. I don't get any seg faults with other
packages. The machine has been up for almost two months (and spit out nearly
4GB onto the web in that time).

Marius Schamschula,
Okay. Thanks. I really do like the search reports. They will be VERY
handy for setting up meta tags and for using other methods to improve
search engine placement. I'm going to try the ALL ON to just to see all of
the reports.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I've been using Analog since before version 2. It has worked well under
Debian Linux, mklinux and RedHat. I'm currently using version 3.3 under
RedHat, it works fine. However, when I upgraded my main server from mklinux
DR3 (glibc 1.99) to mklinux pre-R1 (glibc 2.1) something broke. Ver

Yes, I have.

You don't need to borrow one when you use W3C extended log format.
Analog can autodetect these files.

Could someone please clarify how to use these two commands? I've added
SEPCHAR "," and REPSEPCHAR "," to the delivered analog.cfg file (no other
changes), but the General Summary shows periods as the thousands separator

I'm running an IIS4 webserver and just installed Analog 4.0 - and I was now
going to try the Form Interface, but I get a 501 Internal Server Error when
trying it.
Since all files are in the right dirs with right access, and the latest
ActivePerl is installed and working correctly (I have the righ
