I saw, that there is an android.permission.DELETE_PACKAGES, but it
seems, that there is no API (at least at the moment) to delete a
package. Is that permission checked anywhere in Android, possibly in a

I'm fairly sure that you can't play video files from APK resources.
Video files are generally too large to distribute in APK's anyway.
Try putting your video on the sdcard and pass a pathname instead.

only the test applications need to be compiled, but they can be
skipped entirely. SoftKey.apk is the only part that's actually needed

I should add that I have since added that com.android.im.plugin.jar
file to the /system/framework/ folder in a custom system.img for the
Android emulator, but that didn't help either.
