Wear cheap plastic throw away gloves and break the infected limbs with your
hands, no need to disinfect tools, just change gloves, much faster.

I would be checking to see if the agitator in the spray tank is working, if not
the chemicals get concentrated in the bottom of the tank.

I have had good luck with young nursery trees painting the trunks with thick
latex white paint, protects from voles and can spray gylsofate riht on them
with small hand sprayer with flat fan nozzle. Paraquat works too but is so
toxic to use. suckers have to be removed of course, Lee Elliott
, Retail sales get the
first trees, wholesale later as bud-wood starts to increase, be patient, more
are on the way, we are now growing double back crosses of Honey Crisp X Pink
Lady and testing this year back crosses of Honey Crisp X Gala, cant wait to
taste these new apples, Lee Elliott, Upstart
. Might be best as a
preventative, dont wait until all your buds are chewed off. Lee Elliott

Liquid Fence works good for me but is expensive and needs to be re-applied
after rain, dont spray the whole tree but just lower buds they can reach, small
hand sprayer can do the job. Lee Elliott Upstart Nursery.
