The first place will always go to Mani Ratnam, for introducing ARR with a bang in Roja and kept him experimenting in all his films. Even today first impression of Roja is what we expect in Every Rahman's new soundtrack. Ashutosh deserves special place for giving pure Indian music through Rahma

it has to be Mani Rathnam on the top! He is the one who introduced rahman and he has always bought out Rahman all through these years. and its truely brutal (i would say) not to keep Bombay, Chor Chor and also Yuva in the list of movies by ARR-Mani team (even if we skip the tamil movies).
