Dudes ! You cannot compare give the results. Mani Ashu are entirely for
different themes. Mani did not make any period movies so far. Same in the case
of Dirs. Shankar, Rajeev Menon, K.S.Ravikumar, K.Balachandar, Kadhir all done
only social movies with Arr. Mani-Arr above said other combos

difficult to create stories for period themes. But there are plenty of old b/w
historical classics in movies novels. Why cant these south movie directors
choose them give their new colorful richer dimension with

So after a long discussion, the verdict is not clear yet.
I think its quite obvious from all the threads that its highly
unlikely for a combo to be chosen as best.
Also different people have different choices.
If there was a voting, i think results would have been something like
this:

Don't forget Rajiv menon. Only 2 full length films, but some very memorable
