Hello,
I did a small proof of concept using Remedy to export and Assyst's ACLI
tool to import into Assyst to create an incident ticket (one-way sync).
Assyst's ACLI tool seems to do whatever you need it to do, had a little
difficulty finding the documentation for each of the options but once

I got a response from BMC on my similar issue to upgrade to 7.1.0 patch
2 for the Mid Tier. I don't know if it would resolve everyone's issues,
but it may be worth a try.

Barb I once had a problem when the data file I was trying to import was
on a network share. I had to copy it to the remedy server and also had
to place it in the root C:\. If I placed it in any other folder it would
not work.

That could be a simple answer, when your running the escalation, the user
running the escalation (the same one running the remedy service) likely
doesn't have the network drive mapped, so maybe instead of x:\ you could use

Good afternoon,
I'm trying to set up single sign on for the mid tier and have almost

getting IIS to pass the authenticated user to Jakarta. When I try to

Kathy,
Are you referring to AR System admin privileges within the development
server or admin privileges at the OS level?

It sounds to me like what you're saying is, This is a development
*server*, and this person will not give me administrator rights to log
on to the *server*. If that's the case, you won't be able to install
the Crystal software, but you could have him do it for you and proceed
from there.
I am referring to AR System admin privileges NOT OS Level priveleges

To build the algorithms - (which is done by seeing the Remedy fields) - I
need to know if there is another way besides having Remedy User Administrative

obstacle. Anyone can install software. I have regular user

Try change this in ..\Tomcat 5.5\conf\server.xml to this:
Connector port=8009 tomcatAuthentication=false
enableLookups=false redirectPort=8443 protocol=AJP/1.3 /
The one you change is:
tomcatAuthentication=true to tomcatAuthentication=false

Another option would be to use the production server, certainly not an ideal

Kathy,
I feel your pain, I used to be in a situation where the SA had the dev server
on serious lockdown. I understand production, but I have trouble with control
freaks doing this to dev. Every single time I needed to restart, pull logs, or

One thing about 'pulling logs' that got easier with 7.x is that the admin
console in the user tool now offers a 'view' button for the logs on the
server, it downloads the file through the client onto your machinean
option we didn't have before that...so for those of you out there that don't
