You can ask your DBA to regenerate the table from the back up.. shouldnt be

Hi,
I'm trying to retrieve an info of all registerd users, but this
function
getListUser(Constants.AR_USER_LIST_REGISTERED, 0L);
gives me following output:
ERROR (91): RPC call failed; ONC/RPC call timed out
The same behaviour with .net API:

it's not a big, but a time consuming task, to restore a backup (perhaps
a couple hundred of GIB in size).

Hi Sucharita,
to rebuild the user cache you can use arreload. It's located in
/ar_install_path/bin
arreload -a user_with_admin_rights -p password -f -u User
if you don't have access with an admin user you can use arcache to create one.
arcache -Ua -e001 -n Demo -lw 1 -g 1

Hello All,
Thanks a lot for all your responses.
We could resolve the issue by copying the 'Demo' user from live server to the
QA server.
After that using 'Demo' we modified all the users from 'User' form and the
entries were created in user_cache table.
Thanks

Hello list!
I'm going to go ahead and throw it out there- my ARS is a total
dinosaur. I'm running ARS 6.3 on Windows Server 2003 on a remote
Oracle database. We now have a Remedy Helpdesk application that is on
version 5.6.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the system except for the support costs.
Brad,
One of your choices could be to step up to ARS 7.0 (just the ARS Server) and
leave the Helpdesk application as is as it seems to fit your need. Staying on
ARS 7.0 would at least mean that you are supported on the ARS Server platform
side.
Since your application works well for you, you

I don't have the 7.1 login JSP in front of me, but do make sure you

You must have a problem with the way login.jsp includes the login_common.jsp
file, anyway - the code for placing the cursor is in login_common.jsp:
function setInitialFocus() {
// set focus to user input field
document.loginForm.username.focus();
document.loginForm.username.select();
Make sure that you have not tampered with the section of the login.jsp that
sets the reference to login_common.jsp and then calls the initLogin() function
from it, which includes the setInitialFocus() function:

Brian-
It looks like you'll also need to comment out two lines of JavaScript
that works against that field. Christopher also has this commented
out on his form.
Search for these two lines:
//this.document.loginForm.auth.value=;
//this.document.loginForm.auth.onkeypress = doSubmit;
I was having the same issue. It was not really a problem for us and I
had not even noticed it until I read this thread.
I just commented out those two lines that Kelly suggested in the
login_common.jsp and it worked.
