Mid Tier: how to show Hour glass when Active Link working on a form

Hi: I have a form with a few ALs. When a user types a value into a field and hits the enter key, these active links run to get some additional data and populate a few other fields. While the AL runs, I want the mouse pointer on the web client to change to a hour glass to indicate Remedy is

Hi, I'm not sure 6.03 is supported anymore. So you will probably have to upgrade. I would advise you to upgrade your clients to whatever AR Server version you are using too. You can get the software from the BMC support patches section. There, you can find a directory called Installers

Instead of using a 'run process', use a 'Set Field' action into a field using $PROCESS$. This will force the Active Link to have to wait for the $PROCESS$ to return a value from the process that this action is trying to execute. Marc Simmons On Wed, Jan 7, 2009 at 12:45 PM, Shoemaker, Gary

Okay, you led me to the answer. On dev, the default for the field used in the EXTERNAL() call for the table qualification would result in 1 ticket, and it was by default highlighted. So, whenever I changed the menu, which would in turn change the value in the field referenced in the EXTERNAL()

The solution; use the $LASTCOUNT$ keyword. Since I'm running it immediately after refreshing the table, it should always pull the correct count. Gary -Original Message- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arsl...@arslist.org] On Behalf Of Grooms, Frederick W
