I'm starting to work with the Task Management system under Incident Mgt.
I've created an incident and an ad-hoc task under it.

The tasks need to be activated by the parent object i.e. incident/change or any

We want to be able to create an ad-hoc task from an incident. When we create

One more thing to add. You need to configure health checks in the F5
for the midtier and arserver nodes. I have not fully vetted any of
these approaches, but these are my thoughts:
ARS:
1. port check (this mostly works)
2. iRules in the F5 to simulate a session
Midtier:
1. HTTP post to a page
I'm assuming you mean Remedy 7.5, ITSM 7.6? What patch is your server at,
and are you using Native or Web, and what patch is that running at?

I thought I understood auditing, but now you've made me confused :-)
I add a table field to my original form and point that to my audit form
and use a qualification to match a unique key. Then my table field
always shows the previous values, who, what, and when, etc. Pretty
slick.

For ARS:
- Create an F5 farm for udp/111, tcp/111, and the port ars listens on
- Enable session persistence based on src ip (needed due to floating licenses)
- Configure a server group in ARS
For MidTier:
- Create and F5 farm for tcp/80 and tcp/443
- Enable session persistence based on src ip

I have modified this form for a custom class without any problems. (With the

LJ, doesn't that depend on what kind of auditing has been configured and on
when the last time the value in question was changed? For example, if the form
is configured for Log auditing, and the field in question (A) is configured
simply as Audit, it will only write and entry to the audit log
If you use Audit and Copy, yes you'll have a lot of noise. But
looking at it a different way, you can look at any single audit record
and know exactly what the state of the whole form (or at least the
fields you care to audit) was on that particular edit. So it can be
handy, too.
Here's a
Does anyone have some step by step examples of achieving the above?

Oksee if you can get a 7.1 client to connect and use the guide to see if
it returns what's needed (might not be possible).but you may have found
a bug with 7.5 and client side service calls. You might want to try a
simpler service to see if that works any better.

ARSPerl 1.9.1 (and later) supports the 7.1 libraries. You can use the 7.1
libraries to connect to a 6.3 server. I believe you still need to use a 32 bit
version of perl (which will run on the 64 bit version of RHEL).
The Makefile.PL in step 2 defaults to version 7.1 of the libraries:

I'm not sure if there is a way to have 0 impact on your users. You cant
have two separate users logging on with the same ID and separate

different passwords to authenticate...but that was only if it was local. If
