That had no effect. From what I now see it seems to only happen when assp
tries to do resend of messages.
I cleared that folder after going through them and its running quiet at
the moment but I did that yesterday and once it fills with them it
started this issue again.

2016-10-14 Thread Thomas Eckardt
I can't reporoduce this behavior.
I don't use outllook. But if I send .msg files (it does'nt matter how
many, or if they are in a single or multiple zip files) as attachments to
assp using LotusNotes - AND the .msg files were well composed, everything
is working very well - like expected.
- all files (one for each reported mail) are stored to errors/spam using
the right filename
- an analyze report is generated for each reported mail
- the report "thank you" mail is sent
- the spamdb/HMMdb got an update
- the corpus norm is recalculated
- the heloblack list got an update

I don't know what to change!

Re: [Assp-test] Spam Reports: Multiple from Outlook

2016-10-14 Thread Thomas Eckardt
I don't want and never will install outlook.

Look in to the stored corpus files. Or use the small script below to
convert the outlook attachments to MIME. Compare the MIME content with the
original (by assp) received and stored files.

use strict;
use Email::MIME;
use Email::Outlook::Message;

my $file = 'outlook.message.file.msg';

open(my $F,'<',$file);
print Email::Outlook::Message->new($F)->to_email_mime->as_string;
close $F;

exit;

This is exactly what assp is doing with .msg attachments.

Email::Outlook::Message->new($F)->to_email_mime->as_string

If there is anything not provided by this module, this information is not
available for assp reports.

OK Here is what I found so far.
If (Do TLS) is enable all ASSP system messages like (RebuildSpamDB - report
from) and such do not get delivered to postfix mail server all other mail from
outside does. If I (Drop TLS) everything is delivered.

When (Do TLS) is enable this is what is getting logged:

That had no effect. From what I now see it seems to only happen when assp tries
to do resend of messages.
I cleared that folder after going through them and its running quiet at the
moment but I did that yesterday and once it fills with them it started this
issue again.

Thanks,

Net::SMTP must be installed
'assp/sl-cache/Net-SMTP-assp_starttls.sl' must be available.

try to shutdown assp, clean the 'sl-cache' folder , start assp,

Re: [Assp-test] Spam Reports: Multiple from Outlook

2016-10-14 Thread K Post
I'll see what I can figure out. I venture to guess that more than 50% end
users who are behind ASSP are using Outlook. I don't know if this problem
is something funky with our specific setup, something that Outlook is doing
wrong, or something that ASSP doesn't consider for Outlook messages.

Outlook users out there: can you test this for us? Select multiple good
emails and do a forward as attachment and send to the not-spam reporting
address. Does the report work? Do you get multiple messages added to the
corpus?
