I don't disagree it's annoying, but it's also completely inevitable because Apple isn't selling 32-bit hardware any more and they control the store where developers submit their apps. You can still download 32-bit apps you've already purchased on a 32-bit device, so it should be sufficient to keep one; it won't go beyond iOS 9. Of course, if an app is pulled, then your only hope is iTunes and the backup of the app file you made (because you did make one, didn't you?), which you can then use to transfer the app to your phone.@Dark: the adaptor that goes from Lightning to 3.5 mm headphone is in the box with the phone, or you can get an iPhone SE. Annoying, but ultimately surmountable and manageable. Still, removing the jack was (and is) stupid. I still like the iPhone 7 Plus, though, because it's nice and loud, goes up to 256 GB storage, and is big enough for braille screen input (life-changing, for me; I now do more reading and writing

Maybe its just the Makefile you need to edit. Anyways, I believe the argument more whent along the lines of the following. Apollo verses soyuz. The russians had an automated spacecraft that was the soyuz, while american spacecraft were not fully automated, apollo. The argument was between soviet and american engineers about who's design was better, in the end though the argument tapered off and it resulted in the apollo soyuz test project.

@Sebbi What exactly is the IPhone Se? I thought the new ones were the 7 and 7 plus.Glad to hear there is an adapter since I really don't want to have to start carting around two sets of earbuds. While 256 gb storage is theoretically a good thing, I still haven't filled my 64 gb IPhone 5, though likely that is mostly because the very Drm you mention puts me off using the IPhone for anything to do with media at all.as for this 32 vs 64 bit thing though to be honest I just see it as Apple being lazy. Windows 10 is 64 bit but can handle 32 bit applications, indeed accept for Microsoft office, C cleaner and classic shell I don't think I have! any 64 bit applications on this computer. I mean if you wanted to take the first half of that post as seriously I guess you could have.Wasn't the intention though.Sorry if you saw it as a personal offenseI was messing around with champions in armies, and I noticed there skill score doesn't seem to equal their battle score. I'm using a somewhat older version, so I'm not sure if maybe this got fixed in a later update. Is there a formula for this? Or are all champions sent to war given a fixed battle score (because I agree,,, managing to hire an unknown with 999 battle score or whatever the max for that title is would be kind of overpowered, but I'm not sure a one-legged, or one-handed crippled human should have the same battle score as an ogre).Somewhat but not entirely related, I wonder if signatures will ever be returned to us? i miss my balloon army.

That's an easy fix. Do the following sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list, and search for #deb-src. Remove the # out of every line you find with deb-src in it. Then save, and do sudo apt-get update

Greetings all! This isn't quite the update I anticipated on releasing, but here you go. With offline storyline, first person gameplay and... surprise, a linux version... all ready for you to play around with. Note, i'm still working on the new building system, and since that is server side, that will be largely unavailable for a few days while I iron it out and get it working for ships. For skills, I suggest the pilot class. Their are afew known bugs, such as when getting off a cargo lift in the offline story the game may sometimes freeze, i'm still looking into this. I've also hopefully fixt the packet loss bug, at least to the point where its no longer a hinderance to gameplay. The only activity to do for online is asteroid mining, however you can try out the manual pilot system, if you need help with the keys ask me over chat. I do find this topic fascinating. First, @Daigonite, I feel really bad for you at this point. The sort of people you describe in your first post are common place in different forms covering a range of political topics. It is very concerning honestly. @Dark, I sent your wheel chair story to a friend of mine to have a quick laugh. While I suppose there is always some form of a logical reason for things, that one just really got me going. Daigonite, I find actually what you've implemented in Colors pretty cool so far. One of my favorites as far as accessibility goes, is that I can turn on the graphics along with having the accessibility on. I do have some usable sight, and it just gives me that extra kick from the game. That being said, so long as the accessibility trigger can be easily accessed, the need to start with automatic accessibility really isn't necisary. Indeed, I'd agree that starting with it off is probably a good solution so long as it doesn't hinder
  anyone from accessing the accessibility trigger. I would like to try to get your name out there more, but it isn't always the easiest of things to do. Remember, if you are developing for the main stream market, they can provide a lot of face provided you look in the right places. It really isn't easy, though. This is why most people who can afford it hire marketing teams.

Hi,there were no folders about the game in the locations you mentioned after deinstalling the game again, but after the question about my local setting I changed it from Japanese, which I had for playing Japanese games, back to German. And now the game works. My only problem now is that I have to wait for a key replacement since my old key won't work on the new system, because the keys are tied to the hardware of the registered computer. Oh well, I hope I'll get one and it doesn't take that long.Thanks for your help and best regardsTikki

@CAE_Jones,I imagine I'd need some level of sighted intervention.  I don't think plopping in a digital rendering of a comic book would do me any justice aside from seeing what the outcome would be.  Hell, I haven't the first clue of how to even get a high-res pic of the comic book.  And I can't get just any sighted person, I'd need somebody who knows how Duxbury works and how tactile tech works in terms of the software.My embosser supports producing graphics.  How well is of another question.  I have the Trident from Enabling Technologies, which is now considered legacy hardware.  Had my AT specialist and I knew of the future of this product, we'd have explored better, less noisy options... Oh well.  Eventually this will be sold as I haven't used this any more than just testing it.I wonder how much demand there would actually be for something like this among the blind.  Surely it sounds
  neat, but comics are not for everyone, and I forget sometimes that I'm a geek.Luke

I agree, blindness itself isn't as bad as the limitations being blind can impose on me.I do, however, miss being able to see some things simply because they are beautiful to look at, a sunrise or sunset for example.As I go through my days, I simply find ways to do things that counter my blindness and barely give my blindness a seconds thought.The only time my blindness ever takes center stage in my mind is when, because of some external influence, I am unable to do the task at hand and must ask a sighted person for assistance. It annoys me when I can't be self sufficient.Another time when my blindness takes center stage is when other people do things that make me feel like I have a big red target painted on me.Several months ago, as I was returning from my weekly grocery shopping trip. I used my usual technique to find my apartment and parked my shopping cart in front of my door to unlock it. I heard someone open and hold the screen doo
 r. I was startled and somewhat unnerved by it because until they opened the screen door, I had no clue there was anybody near me. I turned and asked who was there and got no response, just silence. I went ahead and opened my door and pulled my shopping cart inside. Before I could do it myself, the silent stranger came around the screen door and released the catch that was holding it open, then let it close. Thankfuly they never came into my apartment, but they could have, and there'd be little I could do about it except to try and get a closed door between me and them, then call emergency services. The most unnerving thing about it all was that this person never said so much as a single word. I had no idea if they were just a helpful neighbor or someone who had identified me as an easy target and followed me home from the grocery store to learn where I lived. I did call the local police and reported the incident to them, and so far, nothing has come of the whole thing.No
 w I am looking for a self contained surveilence camera that continuously records video of what it sees and has the ability to copy the last X hours to something like a flash drive. That way, if it happens again, I can give the police a video clip with the mystry person in it.

ok guys,I am posting this thread due to some posts I read in the black box thread in new releases.firstly I want to say I own an android device and an ios device so there is no bias to my opinion. and second I will tell you by the way I have both devices,    I had a iPhone 5 just like Dark has and I wanted to upgrade,  the price of the iPhone 7 really put me off,   I am also recently married, so trying to justify paying £700 for it was difficult.so I started to research android devices,  and I loved the look and spec of the Motorola g4, and it was on offer for just £100,  so I thought [[wow]]! 600 pounds cheaper,after buying it and getting familiar with it, I quickly realised none of the games I loved playing were not compatible, also I realised how god dam much I used siri, lolo, by the way the main reason for wanting a new phone was storage, 16gb was just simply not enough.so after a week of playing with I had another nasty shock, my favourite app of all time was not compatible. voice dream reader. so I had to go on hands and knees and beg the wife for an iPhone again.  the bill is now £800, rofl so I proceed to open my new shiney iPhone 7 with a beautiful 128gb storage capacity.  after setting everything up, I said, now lets get back all the apps I paid for and had to remove only due to lack of storage.wait a sec? wheres, the night jar?um, and audio defence?now I can't find papa's angerafter someone told me apple decided to boot them from the app store did I fully understand the situation.so, I proceeded to get other apps I liked sixth sense, not compatible anymorewheres my rubber duckie, not compatible anymoreand there was a few others that I have forgotton.and now I read that people with iphones 5 and below are going to be screwed due to 64bit compatibility.I am just so pissed off lately, using all my savings just to have a bit of fun in life and it feels like apple are just kicking me when I am down.

I'm hoping for a save at every door system.Now for a Linux specific issue I'm facing.Cloned the repo, got the dependancies installed.Done autoreconf -iThat gives me an error or two, but doesn't failThen I go to do ./configure, as per the instructions. This is where it errors out with a cannot find install, install.sh or sh tools error.

things in offline mode sometimes don't trigger right I had to start the game three times to get something to happen when I went through the first door, but I couldn't figure out what to do after that because the door just wasn't there

It seems like a fair enough marketing strategy. I would agree to keep trying to polish things, though. When I last looked at the game, it did seem more in the alpha stages. Still good, though. As for the Social Justice community in general, that's how it usually forms out. Not always is that the pattern, but it is kind of a common pattern. Oh well. Usually, it's prudent to leave well enough alone. If you've heard the saying "build it and they will come." It usually rings true. Keep up the good work. Once you've got a viable beta product that has at least enough content, for I'd say... Hmmm... I'd think at least one dungeon, maybe. I guess it depends how big you are planning the finished product. Anyway, good luck, and of course, don't let any moral high ground attacks get you down. Honestly, these attacks can come just because... well... they can come for anything, honestly. I take it then that you plan to have a pretty laid back policy
  to streamers and let's players, then?

I think what Soulkeeper is trying to say here is that we have to remember this is a simulator. Yes, suggestions and ideas are great, but we also have to keep in mind that as it stands, this isn't an open world kind of thing. I have no doubt Wastelander is capable of doing something like that if he so chose, but there will be some things that can't be implemented for the sake of keeping true to the game itself. We also have to remember that we are the kings of our respective realms, and as such there will be things we really don't give two figs about. Like what Farmer Bob all the way in the southern province of the kingdom thinks about his apples or whatever. The same would probably go for your average soldier, seeing as there are so damned many. That would be better suited for champions and your other npc helpers like your council, since there are fewer of them and they are more present in your every day life.On another note, when the combat system gets better
  fleshed out, it'd be awesome to be able to organize our armies. For instance, you have an army that numbers in the 20 thousands, including knights, bandits, goblins, soldiers etc. What if we could take those and group them into legions, centuries, and so on for foot and alae and turmae for the horse. Or if you feel a bit more Napoleonic, regiments, squadrons, and all that. Each group would depend on how many soldiers you have. If you have 2400 soldiers, you can create two regiments of three battalions each and so on.

But dude. Why didn't you try another android device instead of paying 800 pounds just for a mobile? I think you could get a nice one with 400 to 600 pounds. Android is great, and it makes you more free to install some stuff than Iphone. Although I never had an I phone because of its too high price, But this was all I heard about Apple Iphone.

I used to be on the second floor of an apartment complex and can tell you that having to lug my groceries or anything else up those stairs was no fun. So when the grocery store next door closed, I moved to a new apartment complex that is next door to a whole shopping center with a bunch of different stores, including a grocery store, I made sure to get a ground floor apartment.Of course back then they didn't have this new grocery cart that I've seen advertised that has three sets of wheels that somehow can climb stairs, so now it probably wouldn't be so bad as long as I had one of those.This apartment complex is rather small with only forty apartments on two floors in three buildings. The apartment complex I was in before was much larger with at least a dozen buildings, plus a club house and a swimming pool, the only thing this smaller apartment complex has is a small central building that has the community laundry room and the apartment complex's
  office.

Yeah, I can imagine that the transition into blindness is very difficult for people. I mean, you DO lose something that is treasured to you. I enjoy blindness but I wouldn't really wish it upon anyone due to that problem. I guess I find it as a form of escapism or something haha.That security issue is really horrifying. Is it possible to invest in better security? I would suggest living on the highest floor you can, since it reduces the screen door issue. Also if you can get into an apartment with an internal stairway. I used to live in a super shady complex and having the exposure outside was not fun

Hi, for the lever simply hold down after you lock onto it with the tractor beam until it goes all the way. As for the server it was up, though the connection thread crashed, I forgot about trying to give that the proper fix before release. Try it now.

Yeah, it's super early alpha with an expected release of 2020. So much work since a lot of what I have to do is visual, and this is my first visual game. I appreciate the honest feedback.Social justice online is cancer because everyone pushes their morality around without thinking, "Hey, maybe morality isn't objective and maybe I don't know everything about the world". I don't participate, but I'm concerned that my approach might cause inflammation. I'm not really interested in stupid drama. Regarding streamers and lets players I would be happy for them to play the game. The game is designed so that everyone has a slightly different experience, because it remembers what information was revealed to you. This means that depending on different choices you make, you might have a different perception on what's going on in the story. The storytelling is focused around understanding the world through information you find out. The
  reason why I implemented force_graphics is so that blind people could stream to sighted audiences, the only difference being a few graphical changes (due to the TTS, I might actually change these later) and the TTS talking + audio sounds. People can still watch it like they're watching a sighted streamer for the most part though.Anyways I don't want to make this a discussion thread for my game, so lets try to roll back on topic. I'd be interested to know if the newer IPhone actually does! anything, ie has a practical difference from the IPhone 5. no I do not mean 64 bit architecture or any computer wootery nonsense that will have no effect on how I use the thing I mean anything it actually does! Thus far the only real differences I heard abgout are a rather gimmicky new home button which isn't a button, and no proper headphone socket (also meaning again it won't work with none apple approved earbuds). Unfortunately Apple's free ability to basically invalidate your software seems part of the general apple evil empire strategy, what worries me is the way that people say "oh it's the developer's fault" when effectively  Apple can literally remove anything you've purchiced just because they want to. it's ironic how  work on this forum has been spent getting a lot of older programs to run on newer versions of Windows and how 
 much vitriol has been thrown at Microsoft about lack of compatibility,  work which has I must say been successful more than hit has been the opposite, and yet with Apple people say "oh well, it's the developer's fault"Unfortunately though, however you cut it for future compatibility you do have the same problem as with Windows or any other os, namely that things (besides blackbox), will start coming out that do not work with the older hardware and so to get access to those things a newer system will be necessary, that is why I am interested in  possible benefits of the newer IPhone, since I probably will have to get one at some point in time just to play things like Blackbox and whatever other good aps come out later, though currently I don't think lack of availability with newer applications is sufficient reason to pay that much money for another device.As for Android I don't know. At the time I bought an IPhone 5 I never c
 onsidered Android since all of the things I wanted to do, eg king of dragon pass were available on Ios and it didn't seem half as much was available for android, that and the fact that back in 2012 I believe you still had to have a very specific phone Os, and provider for Talkback to work properly.While  I don't think the last point is true anymore and these days Talkback is a lot more universally friendly to devices, it's still unfortunately true there is still far more available for Ios than Android, to make  it something I'd consider for a primary mobile os. android is the sort of thing I'd be interested in trying out and having a play with, but probably don't want to invest in full time at the moment, since despite the evil empire of Apple I can't deny there is still a lot of good stuff available for Ios and a lot of things Ios still does very well, Vo and siri in particular.

Well Orko, whether the game can be obtained through this third party or not, the game is no longer officially supported, and at this point, once the copies are gone, they're gone. The devs have clearly stated that they have no intentions on supporting the games, and also never freed the game from Starforce. Regarding the sectors, you're right, this technique has been used on basically all platforms for games and software alike, Starforce just made their spin on that tactic by force installing rootkits.

This game just got even more awesome after I found the strategy menu only opens while your character is totally still. Was trying to beat 17.4 with no speed potion because I thought you couldn't open the strategy menu for that level or something. Turns out you just can't open it while you're 3 squares up with a laser up your arse heheh.

Lirin, what I know for sure is that it's using starforce disk protection. Not sure which version, but one thing's for sure it's a sector-for-sector burning of the disk, so someone with the physical media has to us the burning technique that will allow a burn with no missing sectors, to an iso file. Or so it seems.

well at the moment I don't really see the use for the trading skill. I mean it doesn't seem to have any real direct benefits. maybe the ability to buy resources off of players and stations planets etc and sell them elsewhere would go some way to fulfilling a good use for that skill. perhaps with a combination of negotiation you could even set up a bargaining system. depending on your trading skill and perhaps standing with a particular faction?

That's an old technique that harkens back to the 80s and the Apple 2.Standard discs had sectors with a known format for their headers which contained information like track and sector and some other internally used information such as the sector's checksum. A common trick was to change the values of the lead in and trailer bytes. With those changed, standard copiers could no longer find the sectors.That was one of the easiest copy protection methods to break. I know how I'd attempt to make a copy of the game but because discussing cracking methods isn't allowed here, won't say anything more than that.

When fighting in Tekken, how do you keep track of what your opponent is doing, given the sounds are in mono? I understand how you can keep track of your own moves and how they effect positioning, but how do you, for example, know when you hear your opponent jump if they are neutral jumping, jumping back, toward, or even over you? Here is my basic marketing strategy right now:- Trying to connect to UX types. I've already gotten a few to follow my twitter and the ones following aren't that bad as some of the... others. lol. They seem to like the "out of the box" thinking my game presents. So I try to respond to random UX tweets in my feed every day to try to suggest alternative ideas that "think outside the box".- Trying to push the angle that this is the first audio game of its size that can be streamed on Twitch for the blind, with a connectivity . I want to encourage a blind streaming community outside of fighters and a few other titles. Actually, this was the main drive behind having the graphics mode but its great to be useful for others too. Streaming this way though will likely require a LOT of CPU since running both is somewhat CPU intensive . With a good computer though I think you should be fine (I'm stuck using this 3 year old laptop lol)- Tryi
 ng to push to indie gamers that the game is about color, try to encourage people to get involved with the social themes (which are really just a set up for a much bigger story) and talking about the accessibility engine more in the context of their gaming experience - dark areas that can be navigated with sound.I plan to try to work with some of the PR people in these chats but I have to really really improve the state of the game. It's not "bad" or anything but I need to really make it shine. I've got bascially until August/September.One of the hardest things honestly is that the UX people and the Indie people are so different despite having a mutual interest in disabilities. However, most of my development is on visual stuff since that's what indie people like to see, so I try to keep the UX train going by constantly discussing with them instead. The audio engine itself is just an overlay anyways so it is just a single part of the development
 .I've currently been networking on discord servers and people are impressed, I've only been doing this for 2 months so I guess having 130 followers isn't bad.Also, I'm trying to help out Out of Sight Games as well since they're doing a very similar thing; I haven't had anyone in these discord communities comment on it unfortunately but yeah.I really hope that both my game and Hero's Call is able to kind of challenge these ideas about UX a bit, since it seems like just a stagnation machine at the moment in most respects.

Autobot sometimes accidentally removes some of the post

Yeah, dunno what's up with this bug, but I noticed a few people had their posts seemingly cut off. Then it happened to me!After the bot thing asked me 4 times, it posted my post... but only posted like, the first 200 or so characters. I've noticed other people have this problem and I dont' think they might notice as quickly since screenreaders don't help so much with that lol.Any idea why this might be happening?

 .Also as previously stated it does NOT help that a lot of the UX people are super circle jerky with how awesome they think they are. There's so much fucking stupid.
