hello everyone.I have to say something, I know it's sam's game and all that. If he made it payd it's his dessicion. My question is: do you know how many hackers are constantly trying to drop the servers of minecrap (minecraft), g t a, etc? I mean, it's completely understandable what you did, but some players like me didn't even cheated. I had around 17000 something strings and around 3k of water balloon packs/balloon packs. 600 something nuts, 60 boats, etc, but due to gifts. I mean there will be no recover for me back unless I believe I purchase a non cheatable account or whatever, I really loved this game. But, since it has changed freaking unfairly toward us and what I was doing was just stocking people up just cause I had a lot of items... makes me feel really disappointed. I already /chardeleted my account. It was a hard face slap for me. I don't regret playing stw. It was fun. Halph of my translation was freaking done, but I've seen a
  lot of latin blood retreating from the game. I, however, still wish you luck on this, and I hope I find a way to communicate with my best friends. So. Heres how this works. This is the only way I could find to anialate cheating and find a balance. You can still play survive the wild for completely free if you wish. However there are now some limits if you do. Aside from water and things, you can not have over 100 of an item. Your energy and health will never exceed 1000, no matter what. You can only pick up 5 gifts per day at the fishing village gift shop. Those are the main drawbacks of a free account, but more are going to be added, such as limiting access to certain maps etc. Not many though, I wan thte game to be as free as possible. If you purchase your account on the stw store, all of those limits will be removed. Also, it stops your char from being purged, spam killing, everything doesn't apply to you if you purchase an account. By purchasing it signifies that you are a real, ture player that doesn't cheat. So basicly, if you purchase, cheat, and get banned, that ain't my fault, I keep the money. Sence 
 there is a disclaimer i'd win the paypal chargeback. Also, buying an account tells me you like the game, it supports me and the server and my sounds etc, and makes me feel good in general. Either way, I hope these are limitations you can all deal with if you don't pay, and I really hope you understand why I did this. Accounts can be purchased for $15.95, and it is a one time payment. I know this could be frusterating, but there's nothing else to do to have a cheater free game.

Erion is a lot like aardwolf, so you should have no problems with that sort of thing, six dragons is also great for progressive quests to do. Most muds (especially the very combat orientated ones), have quests and info commands that tell you what to do where, it's a standard thing in dicu and other games. some like promethius have progressive activities, ie, you need so many haulage points to do asteroid mining etc, so you get an idea of what to try where. Some like clok, though they tend to spit you out fairly quickly have systems in place so that you can progress, eg, earning money, getting skills etc. In Clok for example in order to do many things you need tools and weapons and what not, and to get those you need money, and one of the simplest ways of getting money is logging, which then teaches some wilderness skills, sinse in clok you learn by doing. Some like Avalon are huge and complex and are very reliant upon players, indeed in avalon I'm ju
 st at the stage of having finished mud school and deciding on a profession myself, however other players are very helpful with that sort of thing, or at least they are if it is a decent game.This is why discworld got so much on my nurves, no helpful players or help systems, just literally being  chucked onto the mean streets .

Hi.Well having a digital recorder implies portability.If you don't want one like this, and don't want to record in  multiple locations and only a fixed one, you may be better served with getting something like goldwave for your computer and a good microphone and stand etc.If you want to move round locations, and well you will need batteries I am affraid.Most units I have sony etc have tripple a batteries and if you spend round 20 bucks you can buy a 50-100 dollar cube of batteries or 8 bucks for a pack.I usually either buy from the supermarket 8 or 12 pack batteries and use those.Or  if I know I need a lot and don't want for a while I buy at a computer store a cube of 50 to 100 but to be portable you will need a recorder with batteries in fact digital recorder implies portability.If you want best of both worlds most can accept power but they are not designed for such.your phone or other device is a good recor
 der.A tape deck or something was good back in the day.To be honest I don't know why you would want a non portable device though.When I do any recording I want to be outside, atteries, I hear you they are a fucking pain but the alternitive is carrying round a large device which you could but its not practical.The last time I did this was about 1995 when I went away, I had a battery opperated with power tape deck I carried on my wrist and it was uncomfortable not like the sleek units I carry round now days.The tapes jumped and jammed, and while you could plug it in well.I know you can get dictaphones witn 9 volt batteries in them which may last a bit longer but not sure if any of these are digital or accessible.I had a lot of issues with a phillips rechargeable being not accessible.

Hi. It very much depends upon the game and the community, which is true for both muds and online games. Some muds apparently jump down your throat really majorly for the least ooc comment, others get so into rp as you said you have to actively right a major character. Two muds that I can highly recommend rp wise are clok and avalon (avalon I'm just trying myself). Clok has a community heavily based around rp, but many skills to learn and much crafting. While there is a policy about what you can and can't say out of character, nobody will rip your headoff for saying something ooc and people are genuinely very friendly. You don't need a massive background or concept, just choose one of the starting locations to come from in the game and work from there, you actually have to ask in character to find guilds in the game to decide what your character is ultimately goig to do, though the other nice thing about clok is there are lots of activities
  and such to try out. Find out more On the clok database page And of course The Clok website  Then there is avalon, which I'm playing at the moment. Avalon has a really unique concept for the game called realplay. This means you don't choose a background or whatever, you just start in on the game asking questions. However the game is setup in such a way as to make it possible for you to become involved in roleplay. Most high officials in the game (including it's literal gods), are actual human players, the same goes for cities and professions, this means you deal with people quite a lot, and have to for example get questss and badges from your guild in order to progress, but your guild are real humans. There are elections, wars, those who craft and mine, and a lot of other very complex systems,
  indeed I'm just figuring out the game myself. Find out more On the avalon website  Also,  don't be put off by the fact avalon has a payed subscription option. There actually is an rp option called sponsorship where your city or guild will literally give you a free subscription in return for working for them in game, sinse they gain a lot from you just being a member of their organization, so no worries with how much you decide to play whether you want to pay or not.

Hi.has anyone thought about what will happen if it is android.While not all of it will make it, if keysoft/ keynote gold for android/ all the other programs used on that tablet appear in the app store, then its possible to run humanware nottaking apps on your up to date android device potentially.In that case if that becomes reality the braille note will become another bit of hardware another tablet in the mix.android4 though, they want it to be stable which is probably why they choose the version they want.Businesses stay with xp now 7 etc well a few versions behind the latest at any rate for stability so its not a big issue.Would I pay for the braille note hardware?Probably not, would I spend the hundred on the suite and synth and other stuff if it came out for an android device if I got it or for the ios devices, I probably would.If they released all their software for windows just because I have used it on windows before maybe I

My foot in the door? Rp.

Hi everyone, 2I used to play Dragons of myth, and I RPed there. But the thing is, literally anything gooes. I wrote story characters and tested them out in Dragons of myth. But with other games, especially muds, the mud has its own ideas about how your character should be. My question is, if I wanted to pick RPing back up, but don't know how to jump in on muds, where do you all think I should start, where I don't have to make an extensive prophile, but where I can sort of relearn how to do it, but with maybe less complete freedom. My problem when I've tried is that I have never seen people RP on the mud in question so I don't know how I should act to be in character. When they introduce rules, I fear I'll break them.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have that kind of problem with most muds. I'm probably pretty inexperienced, but the only two muds I've found something to do in are Alter Aeon and Aardwolf. Every other mud, I got spat out of mud school and into a strange town with no directions. I've gone through countless muds, destined, it seems, to live in mud school. I'll have to try erion though.

BGT Coding Class

So I've been trying to get myself motivated and pump out my card game. My original idea was to record the coding sessions, then edit it, and then put it up on youtube for you all to listen too. I've decided against that idea, and instead I will be attempting to host classes to code in BGT.I say attempt because I'm not sure of my teaching capabilities, though I think it'll go just fine.I do have some basic obvious requirements for joining.1. @razvitascaYou either have to inflict a ton of damage on her before she has time to transform. The best way to do this is with an assassin or fighter and target her head by holding down 8. The other way you could do this is by using scrolls like curse, silence, slow, enlighten on yourself, or mystify. Hope this helps.

hello again.   i need to make a small change in what i said.  first as stated before the first jieum is not accessible however the link that brad was given is actually to jieum 2 witch for android is accessible and hopefully this will be for those as well on apple soon.  the change i need to make or say is that it is not need to tap with 3 fingers on screen.    android user or users, when the game starts, it may come up wityh an option to sign in to google play games.  the game is played in lanscape so, just turn on talkback to get through that.  go to next and you can sign in or cancel.  thats your choice.  however once out of that, turn talkback or whatever you're using off.  the voice for the game will come on automaticly.  theres no need to tap with 3 fingers on the screen.  by the way, this option was tried on the first one?  doesn't work.  but no need cause on the second, its not needed.&nbs

I tried to write a response, but couldn't do it without writing a novella on everything about color.So instead, I'll say that, as someone who has spent an unusual amount of time playing with the colors.ini file that came with Jaws and keeps trying to make animations even though I can't check my work, I like this idea and intend to give it a try when it's complete! (There are lots of ways to encode colors, and RGB is the most popular, since, for some complex math reason, you can combine red/green/blue light to get most of the visible spectrum, which was the cheapest way to get CRT displays to work, and cheap-and-simple caught on. The way the eye detects color is completely different, and the more I think about it, the more I feel like it explains about how different languages and cultures approach colors, the warm/cool/neutral categories that ne
 ver really seemed all that important to me before an hour ago, why certain color schemes are apparently painful to read, etc. thinking about this has given me a better idea of how to explain the difference between color and sound, but I doubt this would help anyone who hasn't experienced color understand it any better.  )

@boy, the only way to equip a greatsword is to drop it and have the AI pick it up. You can do this by berserking the character you want to use it, or confusing it though both of these are dangerous.

I'm blind, and my favorite colors are Green, pink and black.Just because you don't see them, and you may never see them doesn't mean they don't exist, or that you shouldn't learn about them. Saying you don't want to play a game based on colors because you're blind is insulting to everybody involved. Rachel is expressing her idea in a way that is accessible for the blind, which going for it and making a piece of art that others can enjoy is commendable, but on top of that she's going the extra mile and making sure it's available for us to experience as well. You’re saying that you find her offensive, I estimate that you’re alone in this opinion. I for one am glad that she’s making it based around colors. There’s even an accessible paint program that I, and I'm sure many others, find very fun to use. Don’t be ignorant.

I personally seen people struggle with navigation on the IPad. I personally find the IPad easy enough to get around and use. I am picturing those vary same people freaking out when they see this. I would love to get my hands on one, but I really can’t afford the money that it would cost. I may be underestimating those type of people. As for those who are used to keysoft 9, will they get used to how android does things? Will they get an app and then wonder why it will not work? I personally don’t mind playing with new tech, but I really can’t pay that much for a tablet of any kind. With me, if I throw down $50 for a tablet, I will expect things to not be quite right. On the other hand, if I throw down the cash that the BrailleNote cost, I would want to play with it. I would also want to know why I should go with it over something else. Yes I know that they tried to make it look a lot like keysoft and succeeded for the most part, but not all of the apps you can get from the google play store will not look like keysoft. If someone knows how to get around on android, will they know how to get around the very same apps on the BrailleNote touch? I would also be interested in how they did the notifications in android on the BrailleNote. Seeing that it is doing braille translation on the fly when you are editing documents, how good is the braille translator? If I want to edit a BRF file without converting it first, can I do that? I am trying to ask some of the question a newbie would ask, but seeing that I am not exzackly a newbie here myself (when it comes to playing with tech over all) Those questions no longer comes all that easily to me. LOL.

@LukasI read through the entire language tutorial, even though I knew most of what it said. I read through all of it just because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything I may not have known. The part I find confusing is the little game tutorials. I didn't like how it just told you to copy and paste the code and then briefly explain what it did. That being said, the first problem I was having that I wasn't able to figure out is the following:I was trying to get a Sidescroller set up, so naturally, I needed to set up the walking first. I made an array from 0 to 50, and a variable PlayerSteps. If I wanted to have my player step right, I have have key_pressed right, bla bla bla, and then PlayerSteps++. Vice versa with walking left. The problem I'm running into is how to get that to translate to the array, so each time he moves, it corresponds with the position in the array. Once I've got the steps set up, I was going to figure out how to ma
 nipulate sounds and all that. Sorry if this is an obvious question lol. Thank you for your help so far man.

Well, I'm going to Pathways tomorrow and that conference has a tech roadshow that lasts about an hour I think. If they have a Braillenote Touch booth, I'll record a demo for y'all. The entire keysoft interface will be on the Braillenote Touch, along with all your other applications, and yes, the Braillenote touch's screen reader can utalize any application as long as it's accessible. Not sure on other apps, but in the keysoft interface, there is first letter navigation support. Context sensitive help is still available, but we now also have context menus in applications, so you don't have to memorize all the keyboard shortcuts. There are still keyboard shortcuts, but the menus makes it more accessible. Don't let the touchscreen be the main reason why not to go for one. It takes some getting used to, but last time I saw the Braillenote Touch in action our demo guy said that it should really take on average about 30 minutes to get completely used t
 o TouchBraille. Didn't have much time to fiddle with the unit, but I did try TouchBraille, and it took me a few times to fully calibrate, but when I figured it out typing was a breeze. Good thing is that it absolutely won't let you type till you're fully calibrated.

It seems to me that a lot of these criticisms are stemming from the fact that you've not completely read about the device as a whole. Sure, it has drawbacks. What device doesn't? I can't force any of you to get excited about this device but it appears to me that a lot of you are fearful of evolution amongst blind technology. Would you prefer an apex that you have to reset every two hours, or a streamlined device that makes Google Docs accessible, that's one of my big like's about it because my school is doing mostly Google now, and doesn't have to be reset all the time? Again, I can't force you into liking it. But I can encourage you to take a few steps back, examine it in a different light and say "Hey: Maybe this will benifit me."

In terms of accessibility, the game itself states that the numeric values of red, green and blue (so basically HTML color values) so handling the values won't be a problem. Don't you think you're insulting the intelligence and capabilities of blind people yourself?And really... there is no requirement for you to play or support the game at all. *shrug*

Honestly I don't know much about accessibility for consoles since I don't know much about consoles lol Phil, I'm creating this game as a game for everyone, not a game exclusively for the blind. I'm adding accessibility features because I have built a following of fans here and quite frankly I think that not allowing my fans to play a game because of its thematic elements is not only childish but quite frankly a lot more insulting than making a game based on colors for the blind.But if anything, you're the one who's being insulting... Colors are used as a thematic element to express a wide variety of abstract ideas with people and society in the story. I chose colors because they have arbitrary meaning to blind people, bu
 t have assigned meaning to sighted people, and thus conveying the idea that ultimately the value that we assign to these things are personal value based on our own experiences. Chemical elements have assigned meaning to people (especially things like iron symbolizing industry or uranium symbolizing nuclear energy). In terms of accessibility, the game itself states that the numeric values of red, green and blue (so basically HTML values) so handling the values won't be a problem. Don't you think you're insulting the intelligence and capabilities of blind people yourself?And really... there is no requirement for you to play or support the game at all. *shrug*

RachelI'm happy you're doing a game but it is kind of insulting to base a game for the blind on colors that many of us can't see.It would be like doing a game for the deaf based on sounds.I would be happier if you based it on something like chemical elements, going from hydrogen to uranium.or sound frequencies so each of your party would have to reach the same tone.

Though for some talking parts in My Family's Just Right For Me, which is the one I'm doing, I'll have to use another synth for those parts, since frankly I don't know how to do pitch bends with Vocaloid to give the illusion of talking, even though I know it's possible to do it manually., so will have to use another synth for that, though the trickiest part is to get it in time with the background music, which using a synth like DECtalk or Willow Pond, isn't that hard to do since I just have to start out with a raw text string, then mess with the vfactor parameter, which measures how long vowels are sustained for.

It's going well. I am using Famitracker for the track itself and probably will be using either Vocaloid or Chipspeech *one or the other or I could use both if I so wanted to*.I just need to do some editing/tuning on some of the channels, and when that is done, I'll do a recording of the file through my TNS-HFC5 NSF cart, and use that recording to add the vocals later on. Again, I may be using either Chipspeech or Vocaloid, depending on which one works out.

Just to let people know, as a break from altereon, and because it needs a db page, and because last time I was rather destracted, I'm trying Avalon rpg again, this time from the beginning. My Character is called Nuani, and thus far she  got on far better with the novice experience, I've already finished both the  academy and the school, and am choosing a profession now. This time I plan to take my time about choosing, and maybe try selections of several professios, sinse really i don't have much idea of what some professions do, and hay it just means gaining more lessons. So if anyone is on and playing, feel free to give me a yell. Oh and yes, I'm playing a female character, but hay thelok on Alter is a guy and I like to be fairly equal with these things.

The children voices for NVDA can be tryed for free for 15 days see link below. No these voices aren't Kelly and Nelly and there are more than just US and UK English. As for the real names behind these voices let's hope they stay secret for safety reasons. Josh and Ella are the girl and boy US voices, Harry and Rose are the Brittish english voices, Liam and Oliviaare are the Australian voices, Emilio and Valeria are the Bilingual US english and US Spanish voices, Jonas and Lea are the German voices. There is also Scot a US teenager voice. Also there are 2 new Swedish voices that have not been released yet Filip and Freja. All the voices except for Filip and Freja can be brought for Text Aloud but they will only work with text aloud. You can buy them for NVDA for like 100 Euro I think it is however the Swedish and German voices are not available on NVDA. Also at this time the prerecorded sounds the voices can do do not yet work with NVDA. Hi Ross,so, if you are familiar with basic programming principles and just have a handful of questions that you couldn't seem to find in the manual, feel free to ask them here. Someone of us should be able to answer them and others who might stumble upon this topic could benefit from the public answers in the future, too. :-)What part of the manual are you talking about when you say that it doesn't explain beginner stuff in enough detail and just throws all those functions at you? Were you refering to the language tutorial itself, or to the various function and object references?The references are meant just for that, as is usual with most languages, they are basically just a set of documented examples of the individual functions or classes.However, I felt the language tutorial was providing enough information when I first read it. I learned the basics of BGT enough to create my first game just from the tutorial, and that was with no previous pro
 gramming experience, only a shallow familiarity with the Basic interpreter of the 8-bit Eureka A4 computer and the Autoit 2 scripting language, which was even more simple than BGT. This is what I keep running into . I try to follow the tutorials in the helpfile but keep running into things that are apparently not best practices at all, where I get confused. For example, position2d takes a source_y argument which in my code is the vertical variable, but I have no idea if I can even do that o if it has to be an array index. The function reference shows this is not necessary but I seem tofind more and more that people do things ocmpletley different from the helpfiles.

Hi,you declare your ball object inside an if statement. That will make it live only within that particular if statement. So, the main issue is not that BGT would only be able to run sequentially or linearly, or that you would be forced to declare variables in a specific order, but it's that if you declare a variable inside a function, loop, conditional or whatever, the variable is local only for that particular scope. It's usually better to create class instances globally for this reason, and that's why your board array is global.The other issue is that from a quick glance at your current code, I couldn't see anything in the ball class declaration that would actually create the connection between a new instance of the class and your board array. The class and the array are actually two different things. You might consider creating another global function for spawning balls that would first create the ball instance and then insert_last it into the a
 rray. It might be slightly different than how the Windows Attack tutorial does it, I can't remember the exact details, but it's the way I usually do it.Hope this helps,Lukas

If you have accessible and forced graphics, it activates both graphics and accessibility for streaming purposes.[ a-t ] SLJ - The problem with porting the TTS engine to consoles is that I don't know what they support.Currently I'm coding it in Game Maker for fast implementation, and while it can export to PS4/XBox, I don't know if Game maker can currently utilize the libraries necessary to make it talk. In addition, I don't even know if those libraries are good enough for what I need.I could utilize a custom tts library but again the problem of using it in the game comes up.If I manage to take off with this game I might get it ported in a more portable language and go from there. But yeah.Although, to be honest, I don't see the point in getting a console for one game... lol

I tried Avalon, but there again, depending on people. I had to wait until some city leader was online to continue with becoming a citizen or getting some upgrade or some mission, it was all just something I couldn't be very patient with. And the chunk thing, like, Mudrammer, for iOS, sending things as the MUD sends them, but for a braille display, it's like getting 3 or 4 notifications from voiceover at a time, then I have to press space with N to access voiceover notifications, find the top line I want to read, all that. I'd much rather input my cnmmand, and read the output starting from the top newest incomming line.

hell, there isn't one to begin with, instead there is a lever which extends outwards for connecting to usb. besides sony also provided a cable in case someone prefers not to plug directly, but no diffrence. and i don't think any so called drivers would be available easily...no idea what to do though. no much use of the recorder when eventually the meemory would be full and without any capability to transfer anymore, tooo.shit.

If everyone noticed, I didn't say that there wasn't a place for notetakers. I am just questioning the placement of the BrailleNote touch. How many will see the touch screen and just freak out? Will people get their heads around the multitasking of the new BrailleNote? In short, what will happen when the rubber hit the road? From the best I can tell, the brailleNote is more stream lined than the old one, but how much of the old feel will be kept? From what I have heard and read, people will have to export all of their keyword documents before updating. How much of a problem will that be? I know that I always seem to save all of not most of my notes on the PACMate as BRF and or TXT to use where ever I need to. Then again, I haven't even tried syncing it with my windows 7 machine based on what I can see about syncing with the 64 bit version of seven.

If someone needs help with the final boss, we need to know your characters and if you know, the types of weapons they're using. About the weapons and how much damage they do, I've never tried bows on giants, I'll have to check that out. Also, which jobs can use great swords? The jobs with the "swords" skill still don't let me use them. I go to equipment, and the weapon doesn't appear in the character's hands and when I compare them to another weapon, it says "name of character, can't use this item."
