@SLJ yeah it can be a pain in the ass. I have a dream that one day STW quests will be specific for that person. Meaning, when you accept the quest then youc an see the item that you are looking for, but before you accept the quest you cannot see or pick up the quest item for said quest. So without accepting the mountain climb quest you see nothing, but once you pick it up it spawns just for your character and others cannot take it because that spawn is tied specifically to your character alone. then of course the same would apply for every other person who accepts the quest.

I just recently concluded the interview with Aprone for BSG. It is mainly focused on swamp, but there is also allot of other topics covered from growing up, starting out programming, other projects, and some really interesting and amazing stuff that is coming out in the future from him that I'm really excited about. It ended up being a really nice conversation about him as a person, his thoughts on swamp now, and what swamp will be in the future along with other games and things he is working on. it concludes with some questions from the swamp community and some very interesting quick takes at the end of the interview. The second to last question completely blew my mind when he answered it. That 1 answer said more about aprone as a person than perhaps anything else. You don't NEED automation. All you really need is a P2P client that manages cards, moving cards from buffer to buffer, and a chat. I also have an idea based sort of on eurofly. It would be cool to have a truck driving game based on real world geography where you could either drive around europe or in the United States and make deliveries. Jim Kitchen has a trucker game but you can't steer, start and stop the engine and so on. In the blind eurotruck game at night you'd have to turn lights on, and you'd have control over turning on and off the engine, brakes, be careful not to overturn the truck and traylor and so on. like eurofly but a real geographical trucking simulator.

MSE/windows defender is about as trustworthy as they get in free world; if you have money, go get something else and let us know how accessible it is.  Personally, I'll stick with the former; I can set it, forget it, and because I am tech salvy I don't need to worry myself sick about my PC.For the record, as of January 2017, MSE/windows defender has put in a rather impressive performance in AV-TEST's recent real-world testing, scoring 100% in both January and February.  When it came to detecting malware in a reference set of samples, it picked up 99.3% in January and 99.6% in February. It also did well in AV-TEST's false-positive test, with only three false detections from over a million samples of benign software. It scored 84% in SE Labs' live malware exposure tests, and avoided most false positives, giving it an overall score of 94%.  The long and short of it is that, if you're running windows 10, windows defender may be the on

Yeah, I pretty much use ppmck for nes stuff, though I really do want to at least delve a little more into Famitracker. I am actually able to use the basics though it's painful. One of these days when I become more familiar with it, I should make tutorials or something. It can be done as a blind person, but only with about 500 barrels full of patience. Accessibility challenges really do hold a blind user back, so at present, I'd only recommend it for those who are curious, not for those who expect quick results. Open MPT, another music tracker, is fun to mess with as well, though again it's a tracker so needs 500 barrels of patience.Other chiptune programs: xpmck as was mentioned. Also I recently found a Japanese mml program for the Konami MSX, I think it's called mgsc. It supports the psg, wavetable and fm chips, can't remember the chip model numbers but by the looks of it, its support for msx sound is far greater than xpmck is at present. Unfortuna
 tely, documentation is in Japanese. I haven't really tried to work out what everything does. One of these days I will, though, because the combination of chips is intriguing to me.Also for Snes, there's a program called AddmusicK. I haven't had a new laptop in, um, uh, a long time.  I'm still using desktops for most everything I do, which is probably why I bought a mac mini rather than a macbook air as my wife did last year.  Honestly, I love the old clickety clattering desktop keyboard; it's noise is comforting to me and gives me that feel of resistance I feel I need when typing, because I guess I've been doing it this way since I was 5 years old.  Laptops?  I can use them and I will if that's all I have, but desktops hold a place very dear to me, if you want to talk about not liking change much.  :d

hia few questions about the RedSpot game by sam tupy. 1. in the old redSpot game there were jets you could fly around in. What jet engine sound effect was used? @assault_freak That's true I didn't consider the whole platforming and stage layout aspect in the equation, on that part you are right. And the real reason why I didn't donate yet, I don't like to talk to much about it because I feel ashamed, but basically I don't know all the informations required for paypal transactions. The few times I delt with that, I was helped. I guess I could take some time to deal with it, but I didn't really think about it lately. The thing is I changed credit card and even bank recently, so even though I still have my Paypal account code, I may have to ask help for things regarding all of that.

Actually that made perfect sense foor the time, Peter. That's totally fine. Actually, my mistake. Both Nuance and Speechworks required royalties, but to be able to keep the price for the games as low as he did definitely suggests that the rates were a lot more reasonable. Besides, had it been Nuance, I'll bet you a million bucks the games would've had drm, which they have nothing of the sort. I guess the only thing I don't get is why they were never updated when built-in speech wasn't as much a necessity as it was back then, but he didn't. All he did was change his domain to gamesforblind.com back in 2011. Even hos newest tiPoker Squares and Suit Yourself titles used Eloquence, but that's only so that the games could remain the same feature-wise.

The reason for bundling Eloquence with the games is I think more a product of its time than anything else. The games were coming out in 2000/2001, and this was the time when SAPI wasn't even included with most versions of Windows in use and you couldn't be sure everyone had it. Window-Eyes I think actually started shipping with SAPI Eloquence around this time, but most people had JAWS which had an internal copy. Second, most people did not have multi-channel sound cards. If you recall developers like VGStorm recently complaining that they didn't like screen reader API's because you couldn't easily sync up speech and sounds, well this problem was made much worse back in those days. If you wanted sounds in the game, using a screen reader API meant that you'd either play them to early and crash your app because the sound card was busy, or cause the screen reader to miss an important message because a sound effect was playing. And finally re: royal
 ties, Nuance was far from having Eloquence rights back then. It makes me wonder if ETI/Speech Works offered developers better licensing deals versus what Nuance is doing now. Aside from AT I don't think Eloquence was too popular in the software speech world, certainly less than Softvoice which you saw much more often in old Windows Shareware. I wonder if this was a case of marketting, pricing or both.

My lady doesn't like laptop keyboards since she always runs into the touch pad and has issues. Since I actually learned to type on a laptop rather than a desktop I  don't have an issue myself once my fingers get used to the spacing required, indeed I used to use the laptop keyboard layout on supernova until I got irritated at turning the function keys off everytime I wanted to do something in a game . Keyboard wise, I love a wireless keyboard that I can lie across the room and use.Well the new laptop has now arrived, but since it's my dad's 70th birthday tomorrow which is taking place on   a boat up the river trent and which I'm singing for, I probably  don't have time to do lots of configuring until the weekend, and of course I'll be back as normal next week once I'm  back at my flat. @Snow, I am not sure what is different exactly in the game. I suspect that a lot of the more adult texts eg, at the brothel have been replaced with less extreme options. I did get the feeling that the  changes in pocket nightmares are more cosmetic than  gameplay related, but  I suggest anyone interested plays and finds out, since as I said it's an impressive game adult content or not. @amerikranian, No idea on the vo problem. I'm afraid I had very little luck with web browsing on Ios and certainly it's not the way I'd choose to play a complex game like puppet nightmares. There is a mobile mode which reduces on screen clutter and gives you things like extendable menus, maybe that might help? try the link on the front page. As to updates, lots of them, very frequently, indeed the db entry is probably rather out of date, but I've not had time to play for a while.

Sadly Slj the inform community do not like Eamon, which is why ports have been so few. the eventual intention with  eamon deluxe was to port all of the classic games,   which was actua,lly going well  af  a few years ago, but as I said I don't know where development is now and sadly nobody really has got involved in much else with Eamon. The one problem with emulation, is that the best copy of the eamon main hall was the graphical one. In the bog standard bare bones text version, there is no way to improve your character between adventures or get better weapons, one  reason why people tended to either  load a super strong character from another disk or the like. for me a major plus in Eamon deluxe is that you can  take a bog standard character with below average attributes, run them through some beginner level adventures and have them  grow stronger, similarly use the gold you get for successfully completing eamo
 n quests to buy better weapons and armour rather than having to cheat them into existence. Plus of course, when porting the games to the edx system, frank Black  made some changes and  additions as well, indeed in some of the adventures like the Jim  Jacobson ones he virtually rewrote separate adventures into an onrunning story.I do still have hopes he'll materialize again, and  then  hopefully not only go on porting more classic Eamons  to edx, but also create a  talking version of edx which is as universally compatible as the standard one.

All the tasks are rather helping tool for people to get a hang of controls on how to drive various types of planes. It results into peculiar aspect for some people that the more tasks you're done with the easier they seem to be. The distances are wider and longer but it's logical that e.g. Cessna doesn't have autopilot unlike huger planes e.g. Boeings or Airbuses having the autopilots. So the impression of easier driving is more obvious.So I understand your needs to have thrilling exciting and dramatic actions air strikes etc. but the main purpose was geography. These things have been made just to spice things up for Eurofly not to be too tedious and uneventful flying intercontinental routes. That's I know the a

Well while I appreciate Dardar's calm explanation of the issues he's had with the admin side of things, I can't  say much from my own experience as I've never interacted with the mods or staff of Rs games. For the  complaints of "lack of updates" or no huge games, to be honest I always thought the intention with Rs games was to be a quick play system with short  yahtzee like games that could be played for an odd spare half hour, but wouldn't take hours of complex play.If people are looking for that sort of complexity and engagement,  I don't believe Rs games was ever intended to provide it, which is I suspect why Dardar is better focusing on the much more complex Cosmic rage if that Is his intention.

I almost gave up on BK3 at the start of level 1. It might be that I haven't played many audio games, but at first I found the sounds too chaotic, and thought how am I supposed to tell what's happening. But once I got used to the difference between the sound of my character being hit, and the enemy's, it got a lot more playable and I'm really glad I stuck with it because it's a blast. And something else that took me a long time to realise, probably due to playing video games as a kid, was that you can walk straight through an enemy without taking damage. Beating bosses got a bit easier after I realised I could stand in the same place as them and just hack away. I think BK3 is a classic game because of how replayable it is. Even after beating it, you can go right back to the start and play it over. And there's so many strands to investigate. Enjoying powering up the spirit sword at the moment by playing through normal mode from the start. You can&

I recently had to change from AVG to another solution, because AVG rewrote their GUI and it got totally inaccessible from one day to another.I decided to go with Kaspersky Internet Security, since there is an NVDA add-on available which works fine if you know how to use the navigator in NVDA. It's almost totally accessible now and that's cool. It's a bit excited about finding and removing virusses instantaneously and you first have to get into the features of it to find a program inside the quarantine and mark it as a false positive and move it back into it's original folder, but after trying a bit it works well and that's nice. That seems to be my new AV solution until the developers gain decide to change the GUI interface...Best Regards.Hijacker

While I understand his desire to provide us with natural voices to use with the games, what got me is why he didn't just use sapi. Firstly, if it wasn't for Eloquence, he could've probably charged way less for the games, since he had to pay bloody Nuance royalties for every application sold that included the eloquence library. I think it's fair to provide people with games, then you're on your own with voices. Second, Eloquence, at least the vb6 implementation, is probably the reason why the games don't run under windows 7.

No reason not to get the translation pack, imho. You don't need to be online, and the translation is infinitely cleaner than Google Translate or anything automated. And BK 3 is actually the most challenging of the three games in terms of its puzzles and stage layout which are more complex than before.

Well redistributing the demos might be nice,  I confess the eloquence was actually part of what  put me off since I've never been an eloquence fan,  that and the fact that with people like Jim Kitchin and Ian Humphries already producing extremely good free to play versions of games like battleships I never saw the need to investigate these. Accessible starfight ironically would probably have been the one I was most interest ed in, accept that  other than a few old posts mentioning it as having once been available I don't think I ever heard about it, indeed it  never got an original Db page back in the day.

I use ESET NOD32, and I haven't had any trouble with BGT  so far.Also, Malwarebytes isn't an anti-virus as far as I'm aware; it's anti-malware. You can safely run it alongside an anti-virus.

Hello, don't know about moderation, but to be quite honest i'm terribly disappointed with rs games. Tell me RS people, what was the latest new feature released and when was it released? I'm not counting the suggestion system, as that is just a way to suggest features. If i remember right, it was nineti nine released on christmass along with slot machine, but i might be slightly wrong. Not to mention slot machine isn't an online game, no matter how much they try to make it be, it just wont work. Second, what are they doing in their time which they can spend for coding new games? Can you guess it? Making a great an awesome radio station called rs radio! Yes, isn't that so exciting and new? They seem to take listener request every night which is just perfect. Some basic glitches wont ever be fixed, nor will the server be as fast as other competitive platforms. I don't know did developers just get bored of the client, but that seems to be the case. RS can
  do so much if they wanted, but they just don't. They would rather copy the ninety nine game from playroom than try to make something noone ever did, especially in the field of strategy games. They seem to be more interested in games which are totally simple and become boring after a month.

I definitely agree on this. The worst is that I still didn't get that translation pack, and I only really started the game since yesterday. I guess I want to know if I have the skills required, since this game can be quite hard and I didn't play a side scroller since quite a long time. I played a bit of BK1 and 2 but didn't get very far, in fact in BK2 I didn't get further than level 2-4. At least BK3 is probably the easiest of the three, now that the level up system is back. A level up and a good ten points boost in defense can really do some miracles sometimes, though of course I don't only count on that.All of that being said, I will probably buy the V2 if it gets released.

I'm currently using the Trekker Breeze from Humanware, but it's been discontinued, and although Humanware say they're continuing to support it, I don't think they will as it's already difficult to buy the accessories, they just keep saying try in a week or so. So when my battery dies, it'll be useless as I think the battery is unique to the device. So I'll be looking at getting an app like this.Does the walker pro have a free roaming mode where you can just walk along a route and it will automatically tell you what street you're on? For instance even if you haven't chosen any particular route, the trekker breeze announces intersections and stuff as you approach them. Like it will say four way intersection with Johnson Street crossing Smith Street, then as you turn on to Smith Street it announces you are on Smith Street.I find it useful to have streets announced automatically. I did report Crazy Party as a false positive, but how long will it take the Avast devs to fix the issue? As for Windows Defender, I don't trust it.  I am pretty computer savvy and actually have no problem with going on without an anti-virus, but if I had to use one it would not be Windows Defender.  I am sure applications called virus.exe can go unnoticed by Windows defender.

yes, i Was on the moderator team and let me just say, the people that i  were working with were amazing But, like you , I had to leave the team, not because i wanted to.  They ended up sending me an email saying that I was fired from the moderator team.  Frankly, because of, computer issues, emotional issues and of various other things that were beyond my control and when I was in the moderator team.  I did see the higher up admins struggling  put it Frankly I will not  tell you guys hoo  the feuding started with .  But there was people like me, that were just not working and what did  they get We'll give them a second, third chance , I maybe got  one warning.  That's it .  And keep in mind.  When I was on my probation.  Still did extremely hard work often stay on the client for more 8 hours or as long as I could, but in the end, they fire me.  So this is the reason why I no longer play .  It

I asked this same question about a month ago when AVG which is practically the same as avast, was bugging the hell out of me. I was recommended Microsoft Security Essentials. I tried it and found it totally accessible and so that's what I'm using now.

Hello, All I have to say is great work, both on the older version and this new one. The audio trailers sound more mainstream than actual mainstream games on the market today. One question though, will this new version allow you to run self hosted servers? If that is possible, I would recommend adding the possibility, even as an option, to ensure the game can stay alive past the lifetime of any central server. Good luck dealing with this WebAudio API bug.

Is what you're asking for even possible? It looks as though the format has changed completely. Or maybe that's just specific to iOS and macOS.Fun fact: jailbreakers had the Siri voices in VoiceOver before Apple introduced the feature. This indicates, quite clearly, that jailbreakers provide valuable direction for future development.

steam release yeaaa. one more game added to steam that  visually impaired can also play.@WastelanderI have one complaint about one of the game's element.spoilers below, for anyone who would like to discover things themselves:So last time i played, there was this man that flipped a coin and if you won, he'd gave you 1 milion gold and if u lost, you'd die. I found it  very lame because i could just save my game and load it again, to flip the coin successfully and win the game. I thought maybe this suff should not be included for the sake of   getting steam achievements and such!...just some thoughts.brilliant release, nice new changes, and best of luck for warsim on steam!
