Made some updates to post 1. A ton of sites added and updated license info for a couple others. Most notably the BBC effects. Apparently you can't use them in anything but an educational environment which really blows, I never new this. In addition, when navigating freesound, you probably won't have a hope of weeding out  the really good stuff unless you follow users and tags. Huge thanks to Defender from Skype as well as everyone else who provided input/feedback in this topic and elsewhere. keep it coming!I've been pretty busy lately, but considering changing the formatting. I recognize the heading approach might not be the best after all, since it has now become somewhat inconvenient and will only continue to do so as the list inevitably grows larger. suggestions?My first thought was to simply remove each heading and keep links, but we'd be sacrificing quick, easy navigation which happened to be my inspiration for the current layout.

Hay does anyone here know how to contact pragma?I was working on a pack of music to replace/improve the battle music as well as some of the minigames and title screen music a while back.Windows cleanup removed said files, so I thought the cause lost until I stumbled on a zip archive of them the other day.If I could just let Pragma know they exist it would make the crazy party experience better for all.Note, in most cases these are not new songs, just better; less ear-bleedy versions of the old music.The title screen song is much different, as it comes from the official version rather than the wii rip.One last thing, I've redone the music from the first quest map with a higher quality version taken from the hgsshqv2 project, but I lost the pack extracter tool so I can't find the names of the two files in order to insure all the names match up properly for a straight coppy/replace operation.If anyone still has the exe version of the pack extracter could they either post it here or direct me to the forum topic where it exists?Failing that; and this is assuming I can get in contact with Pragma, just the file names of said music files would work.Well here's hoping my "new" music will make it into crazy party someday...Later!

Unless you got rid of both Pandourbit, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get yourself a Mutmo. Oristar is pretty frail, actually, but it's also super-fast. Wouldn't necessarily take it to a battle against Irroadium, but you might be able to pull it off.

how am I misunderstanding, you claim that waveout is better, I claim it is not. I see far less latency with wasapi, and if I were to achieve the same amount of latency with waveout, I would have to push the buffer size so low that I would get crackling. Wasapi is what you work with most of the time. The only way I would recommend using waveout is if you're working with an editor and you need to know when things clip and you don't have an accessible VU meter, because wasapi will chop off the top of your audio to make it stay at 1.0. Also, how is debating a topic starting or perpetuating drama.

Yeah apple has, surprisingly bad QC in general.Considering their quality in other areas, I find it odd, but it's the same for Macs and Apple TV's too from what I've observed.For instance on Macbooks, it's not that uncommon for the screen to fail or even the entire motherboard within the first couple of months. If you were outside of warranty that would be a 700+ USD repair.It doesn't help that they often use multiple manufacturers for their parts, so you can never quite be sure what your getting for some of your components.

The game itself will be closed source, but I think that making the accessibility engine open source is a necessary move in the right direction for accessibility. Sure, I can put up a donation link but I don't really think it's necessary to donate. The reason why I'm doing this is because I'm sick and tired of this attitude towards accessibility that things should be proprietary. Think about how much that holds accessibility back, think about how much things like NVDA changed everything. Knowing that the old implementation of my accessibility engine seemed to be a solid start for what I'm trying to do, I figured that releasing it in this way isn't just the best way to make it a better end product, especially with blind developers adding their input, but also makes it much easier for other developers to implement some level of accessibility into their sighted games.And honestly I'm really just tired of the fake B S that was floating around a few years back. I had a thing that worked with my last build and I wanna make that thing work. I'm just so frustrated with my luck and my negligence. At least I'm finally moving away from Game Maker.

Having developed on Windows for quite a few years, I suggest going for SAPI first to cover the largest user base and then implementing the WinRT stuff as an extra bonus - I don't know anything about the latter myself. When I implemented SAPI support in BGT about 9 years ago, I had no end of trouble with the SAPI 5.1 SDK so I ended up abandoning it and using the generic IDispatch interface. When I used the SAPI 5.1 SDK directly, a lot of voices wouldn't work at all - never quite figured out why. With IDispatch everything worked much better. One thing to note is that the internal SAPI resampler is horrendous. It kicks in when you switch voices on an existing audio device. I ended up forcing it to generate a memory stream at the native sample rate used by the given voice and then resampling manually afterwards. Even something basic like linear interpolation plus a single lowpass filter will go a long way above the built-in SAPI resampler.Just my $0.02 in case it helps.Kind regards,Philip Bennefall

Akai Mini and Alisus both have options in the 50-100 USD range.  I don't have either, but if you want a cheap option for under 100 dollars, try those brands.  I believe M Audio, Korg, and Novation may have lower priced options too, but not sure.

Actually you can, sorta, do it in ultimate by using localhost and hosting your own server.You won't get AI's but you can play with people on your same local network, and it does let you practice maps.

the app is fun. There are some funny clips that users submit. Have no idea what caused the banging noises. Don't think it was windy, and if anything made noises like that, I'd sort it out because it would bug me. It just must have come from upstairs. It just seems a funny time for someone to turn up and start banging around in the middle of the night. The people who live there aren't back yet.

Yeah, but I don't think that would give you the AI players, which basically means you'll be wandering around a map with nothing to do. Still, if you just wanted to explore maps, you could do that.

This sounds like it's probably because the function keys are set to control stuff like volume and brightness etc instead of standard F key behaviour. You need to find out how to change the default behaviour for your laptop brand. I did this to a dell not long ago, but I can't seem to find the option now. It's supposed to be under mobility centre, but I couldn't find it. You could also try locking the Fn key, but it would be best to change the defaults.

I normally don't start threads on here, but google wasn't much help.In skype 8, if you delete a group conversation, it seems there's no way to chat to a group until someone posts to that group, returning it back to the conversations tab.I'm not talking about leaving the group, just deleting the conversation.Is this true, or am I missing something.Deleating a conversation to individual contacts is no problem, because you can just go to your contacts list and start a new chat.I like to clear conversations when I'm done with it, but if you need to keep them around, just to talk to groups, I might have to try and get out of this habbit.Is there a list of groups you're in that I can't seem to find?Any help would be apreciated..

don't want to be hars here, butnobody mentioned graphics here, but the game has literally nothing to offer. how many playable characters it has, 8? using a team battle system?how many game modes it has? arcade, training, and the online stuff?how about the music, sound effects, voice acting?fighting ex layer is also a budget game, but it's ten times better than this thing.and a little of-topic but...i was born in 1987 so, i grew watching mighty morphing power rangers, but this thing is not! a good example of a good power rangers fighting game. i prefer going back to the genesis game, that one from the movie haha.

problem with nvda and keyboard

Hi all, i using nvda on my lap-top. Today i bought a new lap top. WHen i using nvda i navigate around the internet sites and when i want to return on top of the page i press a insert and F5. For unknow reason it not work on keyboard of my new lap-top. I connect lap --top with external keyboard and try to press insert+F5  and it work normaly. Can any give me some advice how to solve this. I want to return on top of the pages without a externall keyboard.

Hey there lem.I have a question.So while listening to your sable videos, I am extremely empressed and you have my support. I did notice though that it uses SAPI for voice. So is it going to be able to use screen reader at some point? I'm just curious. bfxr is awesome, I use it to create a lot of the sounds in my game. Had no idea it was blind accessible.If its accessible I recommend you experiment with the different dials, to learn how they affect the sound. You can lock down every effect individually so you can customize how the randomizer changes your sound. You can also export them into wav files too.

Hey there everyone.So I wanted to give an update I was working on the next release which had a lot more content, and then my hard drive was destroyed. No backups. This happened in January. To put in perspective how absolutely mind numbingly frustrating this is, the game was literally a week from releasing the new version. I was just cleaning out some bugs in the compiled release.I decided to start working on the game again in Monogame instead of using Game Maker. This allows for a couple of upgrades:- Support for NVDA/JAWS (still need to test it to make sure it doesn't conflict with input, when I get a release I'll let you guys know)- Optimized game engine- More precisely built accessibility system.Irrelevant to blind players, but also, it is also being ported to Linux but IDK how to hook it up with a screen reader. There is no Mono support for speech yet.What I think is most important though for everyone here is the accessibility system. I've decided that the best way to get my system out there is to make it Open Source and free to use. That's right, I'm going to make a fork of the game project that offers an accessibility engine that only uses the XNA libraries to work. I believe that after 6 years of fumbling around like an idiot and figuring my way around making a better and better accessibility engine, it's necessary for me to release it both open source and license free.I want to make an impact across the entire gaming industry and set an example with this project, and having it be open source means that anyone here can also contribute towards the codebase and make their own forks.My goal since 2013 was to make games more accessible across the board and even though I've had to deal with so much B S in my life to get here I'm proud that I am still working on this project. I really am dedicated to this game despite the number of complete disasters I've dealt with during its production and I feel that this build will be the one that brings it to production; and also be the build that produces a powerful engine that ANYONE, blind or sighted, can add to their projects.I've just started building out the basic outline of the engine, working on the proximity detector right now. It's basically a replica of the one I built in game maker for the last release, but a LOT less hacky.Anyways, I'll make a new thread when I release my first version of the source so that everyone can check it out. For now, the new game won't be available for some time. I'm working full time and utterly exhausted, and I'm trying to figure out ways to dedicate more time onto development of the project. Instead I want to focus on getting the accessibility engine out there and focus on making the game lose its "blind game" stigma - yeah, that's a thing. People thought a game about colours was just for blind people, like as if the whole point of accessible gaming isn't to give an equivalent experience!Anyways, thanks for putting up with my crap for the last 6 years. Also, like for example in Forza with the assists and some options in Madden, are there any options in NBA 2k18 which could benefit blind players, things like a defensive assist option and so on? Surely, there is the difficulty setting, but I am curious if there is more that we can set up or which we need crucially.How do you go about defending anyway? If I remember right, in some of the last NBA 2k games you could hold the right stick to the left to let your current player run twards the ball carrier and block him off, you needed to change your active player though when the other team passed the ball. so, any tips on defending?It still takes a while till the game is downloaded and installed, internet is a bit slow round here.Greetings Moritz.

Here are a couple more ideas for future updates.Please add the ability to restart an online session. Right now, I have to close the program and create the server from scratch. If we could either restart the current game or maybe just change the game type without terminating the server, that would be great!Pressing i should retrieve your public IP address and copy it to the clipboard if you're the server host. This would be very useful when making private servers. You might also consider adding a ban command that bans any connections from the specified IP address from connecting to your servers. The list of IP addresses could be saved in a file in the Crazy Party directory. This would be useful for banning repeated offenders that keep joining your public servers.

I'm fine with it as long as it's written into the rulesMaybe I'm suspicious by nature, but it always seems a huge huge loophole when somebody is on about a voice then there's people suddenly sending PMs as a result of that topic. yes, they might very well be nnocent PMs, but in the context of those topicsit doesn't exactly look entirely innocnet. Now I'm saying that without seeing the PM contents, but I'd be willing to wager at least one user is getting around the rules by PMing cracks or links to sites that do so and not (visibly) getting punished. This needs to be closed off far as loopholes go.

I had a problem with 2k19 where it wouldn't see my controller, even though it was connected and seen just fine by Windows.  Apparently that's a common issue.  So I dropped back to 2k18.  As for Icon passing, A button is PG, B button is SG, Y button is SF I believe, X is PF, and left trigger is center.

Right, I get that Tolk supports SAPI, but it isn't full SAPI support in that it lets you set rate, pitch, volume, etc. unless it just passes through SSML and I can do it that way. It also requires that you download Tolk and correctly place its DLLs/.lib files so your code can find them, and this library isn't just for audio games/screen reader users. I figure we're collectively doing more work with TTS than the average sighted developer, so given that I already support Tolk and am now looking for a native option, I'm trying to get a sense for how many folks I'll abandon if I only support WinRT for now, or if its speech synthesis API is any better or worse than COM/SAPI.Thanks.

Tolk supports SAPI on windows. Use Tolk_TrySAPI/Tolk_PreferSAPI. The difference between these two is that Tolk_TrySAPI adds SAPI at the end of the screen reader queue, which Tolk will try in order. If no screen reader is available, SAPI will be used. Tolk_PreferSAPI does the opposite, encouraging SAPI use over screen readers.

I would recommend Language Transfer. Their website is https://www.languagetransfer.org. They also have a Youtube channel. They offer courses in French, Swahili, Italian, Greek, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, and English for Spanish speakers.Some of their courses are works in progress, but I know the Spanish, Swahili, Greek, and German courses are complete. I listened to their Spanish course and was impressed. They don't just have you mindlessly memorizing and regurgitating words. I felt like I actually understood sentence structure and verb conjugations by the time I finished the course, and the instructor made it interesting. They emphasize learning grammar and structure over vocabulary, so you might want to use a website like Duolingo as a supplement. Don't get me wrong, you still learn plenty of vocabulary and the ability to figure out a lot of words based on English.I can't speak about any of their other courses since I haven't taken them, but the Spanish course is a winner in my opinion.

There's an app called sleep talk. You leave it on over night, and it triggers recording any time there's a noise. So you can hear if you talk in your sleep. This is six clips glued together. The recorder cuts out pretty quicly and starts again, so the start of the bumps are often cut off as it kicks back in, but it's all part of the same cluster of noises. There is an apartment above mine, and normally I'd just put it down to my neighbours banging around in the middle of the night. But they are away at the moment and the apartment is empty. I'm not just saying that to make this into something spooky, it's true. If they were at home, I wouldn't be making a thing out of these noises. I don't believe in ghosts or any nonsense like that, so the only rational explanation is that someone else has the keys to the upstairs apartment and came in in the middle of the night and started banging around. I went to bed at midnight, and got up at 8am, so it happened sometime between those hours. Thing is though, it really sounds like it's in my apartment. Hey, I'm working on trying to port a game I'm writing from Linux to Windows. Most of it should work fine since my engine is cross-platform, but TTS is a bit of a sticking point.I'm using Rust and wrote my own higher-level TTS library that currently supports Linux and the web via Web Assembly. I added support for Tolk yesterday, and while that's fine for screen reader users, the TTS library is meant to be usable by anyone, so I need a native option. Rust seems to give me a couple ways to achieve this. I can use the winapi crate which uses COM and supports everything back to XP. There's also a winrt crate, a grep through whose source reveals what appears to be support for a speech synthesis API. WinRT speech synthesis examples make a lot more sense to me than does COM, for which there's no common Linux analog.Since there are lots of Windows developers here, I'm wondering if anyone can explain the differences between the COM-based API, which I assume is SAPI, and this seemingly simpler WinRT API that I assume *isn't* SAPI?I'm also told that using WinRT locks me to at least Windows 8. For those of you writing/selling Windows games, do you have any sense of how much of your audience uses Windows 7?My choice of one or the other API isn't necessarily final, since my library allows you to select your TTS backend at runtime, and can conditionally compile in backends. I'll almost certainly want to support the WinRT speech synthesis API at some point for when Rust gains UWP support, then I could potentially compile to XBox targets. My question is which to support now, and I don't know how broad Windows 7 use still is.Thanks.

You can get details on how to do the missions in the books of trials by opening each individual book. After that you can check each available mission. They're mostly things like levelling certain characters, creating or honing certain abilities, etc. You can also find all the missions at the community database if you don't want to mess around trying to find them in game. It's important to complete them though as higher end content is unlocked based on which books you've finishgh.

Yeah, go for a replacement, I just saw 2 weeks ago a 2 month old iphone se witch was perfectly working, never dropped and the touch stopped working at all together.They said that the touch part was cracked, not even the glass or the display.My uncle has an xr for 3 weeks now, it started showing white spots on the screen and the battery was dying once in 2 hours or so and it was at ful capacity.He got a replacement at least, but he had some form of insurance, so he paid for that.

Yeah, android 2.3 in 2019?My galaxy gio has talk back on it, don't know how it updated but it is on a sort of newer version, like the one that came with android 4.4 or so.I got espeak working, but I can't really use it, no apps support and you can't use it without a keyboard, or I think a gamepad would help in navigating, but I don't know.I guess it can do emulation, but not sure though.And, I don't know, it is probably much cheaper than the GPD computer, but that is what I would go for if I were you.But if you can get it for a good price like, don't know, less than 50 bucks, it is probably ok.

Hit number 2 to go to the second menu option, then enter, then 9, then 2 I think, either 2 or one, try both, should get speech from one.Is the original rtr still being used at all? Haven't played ultimate yet as far as i know, think I downloaded it though, haven't actually gamed in over a year though so i'm not sure, will have to check on that one.

GPD Win.Android x86.There's your gamepad, on a much, much newer version of Android. About half the apps probably don't even work on Gingerbread anymore, and the market has been removed and replaced with the play store.Also, buying a non google-branded device is the worst mistake you could make with older versions of Android, because custom skins were death to older accessibility frameworks. So unless you're good with flashing Lineage, I would say steer clear from older Android builds.

I believe that we should not put a game down just because some people give it a bad review. I have always been one of those who do not go by what people say.Another thing this game is for die hard power rangers fans. I don't care about the graphics because I am totally blind.I have notice that people in the blind gaming world is some of the toughest people to satisfy when it comes to games.
