I do believe that by "at Haily's request" he means that Haily herself agreed that her rank should be changed back to what it was once the Gameboy rank was passed. So, not current request, but request made at the time the rank change was being made.I certainly can't blame Haily for forgetting about it afterwards though. I'm sure she'd be just as OK with her custom rank being removed now as she was then.

can you help me with the glimerodo fight?i try to use dragon strike, and it seems that glimerodo is imune to it. it also summoned other creatures, one called evil machine, and one called mecha sky guardian. what i can do here? i tried to use other moves but it does 0 damage to glimerodo. unless i have to defeat the machine and the other ones first, but i did that and glimerodo summoned hades. hades is nearly invincible... i cant defeat itit puts a shield that is unpenetrable, and it even is imune to all, fuck you shield! unless i have to use a flame move on it, this battle is geting on my nerves.

@Andrea, congrats on the release, as I said there was a great deal I liked, indeed simply being able to boast the longest first person audio adventure game we've seen thus far is definitely an achievement in and of itself.Actually, if there had been a little more native American culture in the game, and perhaps more than one character to explain this culture, I don't think I'd have minded, EG if you made a comparison between the stone circle and medicine wheel or mentioned Wakan Tanka, or if you'd just had a couple of different native American characters with different perspectives.A great example here is The Inquisitor, we learn of the Cathari heresy and about the church organisation, and we meet a great many Catholics who are different people in the game, some more or less zealous, or more or less corrupt (actually I need to play through the hole series, as thus far I've only ever played through the first game).I'm afraid on the "Well it had to be simple for new comers to audiogames", logic,  my issue here is the way that the game play was kept simple, by essentially having everything with a "hear and react" mechanic, rather than having something a player had to judge. To take one example, In the current game during gun fights, you don't actually have to worry about targitting your enemies, you just wait for the break in the pattern of shots, then hit one direction, blast away, hit down again, rince and repeat. Usually, there is more than long enough if you find the right gap to shoot all six of your bullets, and you don't really need to worry about where the enemies are. Suppose however, your enemy's reloaded at different speeds and you actually need to target them, by holding the arrows right or left to move a target curser across the stereo field space invader's style.So, what you would need to do, is listen to your enemy's pattern of shots, pop up, hit right or left arrow until you got a target bleep, and squeeze the trigger. However, since the enemy's were reloading at different speeds you wouldn't be able to get more than one, maybe two shots off before having to duck and shoot. You'd have to try and target enemies as they reloaded, and decide when to risk pulling your target cursor a long way, and when to just play it safe, or when to try and take out more than one enemy before ducking down again, (if you've ever heard of an old nighties light gun arcade game called time  crisis, this is sort of what I am thinking here).Which ever direction you go with the next release, I'll be looking forward to it.

I've played super smash brawl, but didn't get into story mode, and I was facing the same fall from stage problem, but when I got super smash ultimate, and with the help of my sighted friend, I customized my own stage which I go to whenever I want to play vs my friends, or even the CPU.Note: custom stages aren't available in super smash bros, super smash bros melee, and super smash bros brawl.

Rock n roll. Yeah I guess I really ought to have that instead of tri kick huh? Derp. I'm dumb. I probably end up grossly overleveled for the Dyaz fight, so it's usually not as bad as it looks on paper. I'm anywhere from 25 to 30 with the team, and usually don't have much of a struggle even with a team of ghosts. It mostly just throws out berserk and confuse or whatever anyway and doesn't do a lot of damage. I use more of those pies to remove bullshit than I do anything else.

Or do it with Trumer, who has natural bulk. @11, yes, a process can set its priority via SetPriorityClass(handle, HIGH_PRIORITY_CLASS) or SetPriorityClass(process, REALTIME_PRIORITY_CLASS). All it needs is the PROCESS_SET_INFORMATION access right. I think there should be a safeguard against letting any process set its class to realtime/high priority though.

Yeah just having to press like 4 different keys to get one thing done, also just the way you had to look around for some reason didn't do it for me at all. I feel like the whole thing could have been way more intuitive? Actually that's my sentiments on basically all the Chinese games. Battle of Armageddon was a game I actually thought could be kinda fun and in some ways the first of it's kind, but the circa 1990s/early 2000s audio game design again turned me right off. I understand why some of the things ended up being the way they were, until I don't.

@10don't think Windows lets apiece of software just decide it wants to run at realtime priority without you having to give it special permissions.  Might be wrong, and there's one notable exception, but it's not possible to profile the one notable exception without being a developer so that's moot, and also that one notable exception is *specifically* for preventing audio glitching.

When you translate the readme file, the developers actually step away from any sentiment against the japanese or any other group of people.Only Nuno, who is basically the only advocate of chinese games brought anti japanese things into the hole thing, the guide in the articles room was edited upon request f the mods, but the polish guide to the game apparently still contains the deleted phrases and parts.Greetings Moritz.

well I don't have any problems with language translation, accept that there is no grammar and centences that are stricktly none cencicle or has no meeningbut the game was still cool though. I made it to level 6 and died because I didnt know what i was doing and killed my own peeple, +I got shot when the last soldger stepped to the left, anywayscchina games arent a problem for me, accept that if there was a better way of translating these games I would definitly play themI keep enkourraging nuno to make these games because I can play them easyly for now, accep that as I said, there will be more methuds of translation

Agree with @9. Also doubt its a fan issue (if it was your computer should warn you). Check the software side. In particular:1. Verify that none of the games have any threads or processes running at real-time priority (this is just generally a really, really bad idea).2. Check for driver updates and install them.

ok now. even if simter doesnt know much about the licence agreement, that doesnt meen you should ban him for just that. maybe tell him about the licence and warn him to not do it again at leastit wasnt fair to get someone band like this. you know, the hole thing was on me because I started the toppic. the perpoce was to ask if that thing was posssible or not, but instead I get warned for it. I know it's rood, but it's not as fair as moderaters think they are, at least I am not trying to started a bad faith argument here, more or less I am trying to solve thisand even if I asked for a mac virtual machine, I didnt actualy thought I could get it, let alone make it my self. When we pointed out to him that creating a Mac VM was illegal under the EULA, he claimed that no one had provided a quotation to prove it. When I did, he then continued pushing that same line, claiming that my source -- which was the EULA itself -- was not correct/authoritative and that I should go "re-read" my quotation. In other words, he's deliberately ignoring what the EULA says, completely disregarding the first sentence of the EULA, which states, in no uncertain terms: "The grants set forth in this License do not permit you to, and you agree not to, install, use or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-branded computer, or to enable others to do so." There is no clearer way of saying that. The guy isn't an idiot -- he knew what that sentence meant, deliberately chose to ignore it, and claimed that I was lying. That ban was rightfully deserved. He was furthermore fully aware that continuing to push his agenda like that was a violation of the rules of this forum. He cannot then go and post -- anywhere -- that we were attacking him or anything, because I quoted the EULA directly, and he cannot claim that that quotation is incorrect -- because its, uh, right from the EULA, and there is no more authoritative resource on the MacOS license agreement than the license agreement itself. If he posted his opinions elsewhere, then fine, but no one is actually going to believe him.Edit: Looking at his post on his website (which is just needlessly extending drama to off-forum environments, BTW), he acknowledges that I'd got him with that quotation and blames the late-night hour that he'd written his post at (I, personally, don't consider this an actual defense). Furthermore, he's evading the ban, as is outlined in the section entitled "2. what do i think about this". Not evading, strictly, but circumventing it (probably by not logging in). He clearly doesn't recognize where he went wrong, and there's no kind of actual apology for his actions either.

I would  Recommend SOme Ordinary Gamers as a YOutube channel for if you want to look at accessing the Deep Web/Darknet. He does explorations of it, and he is quite serious and not clickbate at all when it comes to his videos showcasing the Deep Web. He deals  with computers as his actual job and to me, he is the best source for finding actual good ways of accessing the hiden part  of the Internet in a safe and fun way.

As the title says, I'm wondering if muting channels suppresses mentioned when you are mentioned, and @everyone. Only reason being I was clearing up my inbox when I noticed that my default notification setting was set to only mentions, but I was still getting a tone of notifications for stuff with no mentions.

Hello everyone!First of all, thanks again for the comments on "A Western Drama". Sorry for the repetition, since I wrote it in the other thread as well, but this is what I think: each of these comments is precious, because it makes us understand what we can keep, what we must improve and what we must mercilessly discard in our next audiogame. To answer Dark, who opened this thread: we voluntarily kept the gameplay not too complicated, in their mechanics, to try to make them appreciated also by those who approach the world of audiogaming for the first time. We are strongly considering the idea of new more complex mechanics for our future project (in addition to the improvement of existing ones and the elimination of those not working). Same thing about the story. We would like to give the player more choices on how to deal with a piece of the game, for example with side quests that explore other narrative lines or things like that.As for the natives, I can answer you directly, having written the story. Since I don't know who will read it, I make a big SPOILERS warning.Spaghetti-western is, for me, a very, very strange genre. It is based on a real historical period, which was then transformed into a "shining" myth, until a handful of Italian writers, directors and musicians decided to take it and twist it again, making it something else. It is certainly full of some stereotypes, as you said, that have stratified over time, from which I probably didn't deviate much also because they make the genre what it is, in a certain sense.The issue of the natives is close to my heart, even if I probably just... "brushed" the issue. Of such a complex history I chose only a very small part, the one about the contracts proposed to the natives that were punctually disregarded, or that most of the time were just waste paper, and that allowed in a more or less violent way to steal their land.  Perhaps, dedicating only a part of AWD's story to the natives, I did not go into certain dynamics properly, even if I wanted to abandon the stereotype of good and wise natives, or ugly and bad, because I think of them only as people. The example you make on the Inquisitor is perfect, at least in the difference with A Western Drama: there the protagonist is imbued with a certain kind of Catholic culture and therefore sees everything under his very personal lens, while in our case Homerus is not the main point of view. Homerus doesn't want to be, at least in my initial idea, the point of view on the "native issue", but only his point of view, even if maybe, not going too deep into his story, I couldn't convey this idea. Spirituality in a certain sense is also "brushstroke", but I am quite convinced (perhaps wrongly) that the natives lived it in a very different way from how we live it. This does not make the natives the good sages who "saw beyond" that we have seen in many representations, but only people who saw things in a very different way from how we see them, from a culture far from our own. I probably used a few native terms because I saw it all from the eyes of the two protagonists, one of indifference and one of hatred... I wouldn't want to have put myself in their shoes too much, damn it  I must admit that I also adapted the concept of the Circle of Stones to our narrative use, which however comes from a real structure, the Medicine Wheel. I am a great lover of astronomy of ancient peoples, and I am very fascinated by that of Native Americans. The first time I saw an image of a Wheel and studied its functioning with respect to the astronomically significant directions of space I said "how cool!"; the second time, the spaghetti-western spirit in me took over and I said "but this is a perfect arena for a final duel! I hope that Wakan Tanka can somehow forgive me...Thanks again for the constructive criticism you have given us!Andrea

@4I'm not entirely sure what Flutter uses as the backend, but it's not native controls, at least on the phones.  The web version is probably actually HTML though.If you're wondering why I was skeptical of the accessibility the first time someone around here (I think you) started promoting it, that's why.95% of modern GUI libraries do this.  It's annoying, and quickly becoming an actual problem for us.  I can't think of a library in at least the last 5 years that opted to use native controls and got popular.  To sighted people, looking the same on all devices is now almost the most important thing about this, so we get left by the wayside.  And implementing accessibility needs C/C++ for all the desktop platforms effectively, and you have to write 5 mostly unique versions of the code, one per platform.
