please label the spoilers more clearly.I found one thing that could be troublesome. You can pick up a tadder at level 3, but it has no attack, so leveling it up iskind of impossible. Unless you do what I did. Spoiler right here, so if you haven't made it to the art city don't read.Use a weaker manamon while you are fighting with the art lover against the thieves. Let it die, then bring out tadder and let the partner manamon kill one of the foes. Your tadder will get xp and level up to level 4 where bubble is aquired.

Hello everyone. The update will not be coming out this month. I haven't coded much in the past week, until now. Not only the code will take a long time, but jesus, the manual. How can I explain all of this topic in a short summary in the manual? I'm dreading it, and I will most likely procrastinate 5 months on it lol. So the update won't be out until the new version is tested by my friend for bugs, and the manual is complete.i have done an update every month for awhile. This version won't be the case. December or January is probably when it will be released, unless I bust my ass in  October and November. I might if I get bored enough.

Complete makeover on the level creator for rhythm rage

This idea is too big to be put in the level creator topic. This topic deserves its own title.So far the level creator is all about listening to the track, or positioning yourself at certain moments. It is great for those who play by ear. But what about those who know the bpm and want to build the level like the old way of coding?Well after playing a level I coded the old way with knowing the bpm and it being very easy to make the level by changing the values and sound names, I found the answer. I have found a way to do the old method of making the level, but without having to do the work.Why is this ground breaking news?This is going to sound crazy. I love the creator, I think it is awesome. But I couldn't see myself using it to build a pack. It just didn't feel right. I'm not the type of guy to build as I go, or depend on listening to make my track. I like to know my bpm, and work based of splitting measures. And that's what the old way of coding rhythm rage was, before the creator.Before now, those who liked the old way of coding levels like me, didn't benefit from using the creator. It has a lot, it can do a lot. But not everyone likes the principal the creator is based on, which is listening. Even pausing the track and using your cursor wasn't good enough.But it isn't just the foundation that bothers me. It's how the actions are put into the level. You have to press tab for this, space for this, enter for this, and back space for this. It's very odd, and kind of unnecessary.So I have decided to address these 2 issues, and give the level creator a complete makeover. I am not removing the old foundation or input method, I am adding a second one, that will give a whole new experience. An experience measure splitting, beat orientating, old level coding style, people, will love.the measure drawing tool (MDT)Right now, you can think of your track as a straight line. You can move forward and back, and set your actions. You can either move forward by playing the track, or using your cursor, which you can set the length it skips. The cursor is great, but imagining the whole track as one line is overwhelming and unorganized.The measure drawing tool uses the section time of 1 measure in your track. You select how many beats you want to cut your measures into. How is this idea displayed? There isn't just one measure drawing tool. There is a mini version, and an entire mode. Each version displays your level differently.full modeIf you are using the full version, your beats are setup in a grid. You can press left and right to go to the next or previous beat, and use up and down to jump to the next or previous measure. The entire track will be shown, from start to finish. You can set an offset value so the first beat does not start on 0. Currently, this mode will not allow you to set other offsets. So if you have a cut scene in the middle of the track it will not line up correctly.The mini mdtThe mini mdt is used in listening mode. It makes it so you have access to the drawing tool, but you stay in listening mode. In this mode, the first beat will be your current track position rather than 0 or an offset. You will be asked how many beats or measures you want to show passed the current position. So you can show the next measure, or the next 3 measures if you choose. In the mini mdt, your beats is a list of values. You use up and down to move to next and previous beat, and left or right to go to first or last beat. This method should be used if you have a cut scene in the middle.resizing the beats per measureLet's say you want the next 2 measures to be in quarter notes, then the next 4 measures after that to be in triplets, and then back to quarter notes. If you are using the mini mdt, it will ask for the number of beats every time, so it automatically resizes. If you want to change your beats per measure often, using the mini mdt is much easier. To resize the number in the full mode, there is a resize option in the measure drawing tool menu. It will resize the whole level. Instead of starting you at value 0, it will save your last position so you can easily resize while being at the same point you left off at on the previous resize.Which one should you use?The full mode allows you to use containers, custom sounds, and all other functions listening mode allows you to do, aside from the section creator. The mini mdt has alias control, but that is it. The mini mdt for now, should be used if there is a cut scene in the middle, unless you want to make that your offset in the full mode. Jumping by measure maeks things much faster, only the full mode has that ability. But if you resize often, it is recommended to use the mini mdt.Pretty cool right? It's hurting my brain having to code all of these things! I'm not even close to done with this. But that was just the foundation. They are listed belowediting, be able to edit or delete lines in the level file and other files in the creator.reverse playback, the creator will play sounds as you press left arrow, and play the sounds again when right arrow is pressed.Dynamic playback, have the alias sound play if that action had an alias, play the alias and macro sound if that action is part of a macro.line correction, if you make an action after your first use of the level, have it place that line at the correct position in the file. This can apply to just the playback file or both playback and the level file.Playback from level file, this may not be possible, or wise, but it's always worth a try. I've heard it's better to playback from a system rather than the file.better container system, right now deleting containers is a pain in the ass, and the recognition system is aweful.macro names, add ability to name macros.feedback, finish the feedback system.interactive, make interactive tutorial creator.Which objectives above do you want to see most? I have a main objective for version 10, I'm excited to make it, but I have so many other things I could enhance or add. So I would like to know what y'all want to see most. I can't promise it will be done in the next version, but I will work on it.

I remember having a window problem with that option that made the program invisible. I thought I solved it. Did you press up or down arrow? It has 3 choices so it isn’t a question.If you are having the window problem, I have moved the show game window line a few lines down, exactly where the line is in the loop code, so this should definitely fix it. I will repackage it and update the link if the window problem is happening.

Thanks. I 100% expected to fail at this project. When making it I couldn't even make a program where you press a button, it plays a sound, then exits. But by some miracle, I have pulled it off. And what once was a shitty little creator is now a high quality effort killing tool. Seriously.The greatest feeling from this project, is giving back to the community. We have so many good games out there, developers who put a lot of their time into making these games, a lot of which are free. So it feels good to be able to give back to the community, and use this as appreciation for what other people have coded for me to play on my own computer.And I also really want some new Rhythm Rage packs, so now people can create levels in 20 to 30 minutes, maybe even less. I know Oriol will appreciate this wants he really digs into it. His game can continue to expand by the users who play it, because they don't have to spend hours copying, pasting, and changing the same code over and over.That's the question that made me create this. I can either code the same thing a million times, but know exactly what I am doing, or code something once that will code those millions for me, but have it be difficult as hell. I went with that option, and it payed off. Way better than I thought.I had always dreamed of having a creator for this game, ever since I started making levels myself. I just imagined what it would look like, and I asked myself, why can't it exist! Why can't someone just make a simple creator for this! So 2 years later I decided to do it myself since no one else had made one.And of course, I wanted to give back to the community, so I shared my basic little creator in Noovember, and it sucked. But a lot of people were fasinated by it. Unfortunately, this project haven't gotten that much attention since version 2 release, which is disappointing because now it can do shit you never had thought of! So please share the topic and the program to others, especially if they haven't revisited it since version 2.

so tehre's a bug that I have fixed in version 9. Remember in version 6.5 when I said the seek line was slashed out because when it wasn't it would cause an error? Well I failed to notice it wasn't slashed out, so everyone has been getting errors. And no one has informed me, hey, that seek line hasn't been slashed out. So here it is 3 version later and I finally discover that it hasn't been slashed out.I've finished version 9, I just need to do a bit of editing to the manual, I'm too lazy. And still pissed that no one told me until version 8 that something was wrong, and no, don't blame me for not testing out my own creator on rhythm rage. I'm not creative enough to make a level and test it. I just code the creator and let y''all do the rhythm rage error seeking for me. Group effort!

Why can you only play against one other person? I'm a beginner, and I was able to paste the network code from bgt and make an infinite player base easily. Just shows how much knowledge you need for bgt. But it is absolutely ridiculous you can only play against one person. especially when you pay 40 dollars.

This is, in general terms. No app or game is specifically being targetted. Apps are updated way too often, and games are not updated enough. However, there is a such thing as a finished product, and with Manamon not having many bugs, I don't see any issue with not updating it. Would I love an update? Hell yeah! But is it required to play the game? Is there an issue preventing me from accessing any of the content? No.

Also, the size of the download would be extremely huge and it already took a long time to download, so no thanks.Play a game and if it crashes, relaunch. Check your achievements. I think sometimes it has to do with achievements. That's probably not the reason for the game crashing after every round, bu I have noticed whenever I get an achievement, that is one of the rounds it freezes. Even when I got the go to work achievement I had to relaunch the game to download the default pack. Abbd it doesn't alert you when you get an achievement, so it's hard to prove this theory but I think it is worth looking into.

I am also getting the bug where after a game it sits there and doesn't do anything. I need my beat coins? Game says maybe notEditMaybe you should have called this betastar because there are a lot of menu bugs. I I can't return from achievements menu and I accidentally clicked on spoilers so I just entered through all of them and then, the blue, or maybe black, I don't know because I am blind, but silent screen of death hit the application just like after a game.I was able to get some beat coins after failing on level 2 on purpose, but on level 8 it didn't do anything. But I just played again until level 9 and it gave me my coins. So I say fail the pack first then try to beat it maybe. Or maybe it doesn't do anything if you got an achievement. That might actually be why.

go int othe level you generated and you should see the line debug mode. The next is seek=x. Put 2 slash characters at the beginning of that seek line. The 2 slashes mean the line will be ignored by rhythm rage.

Bro. Save data from old version to new version is not the end of the world. Now if we were talking a story line game or a type with lots of payed content, that would be different. But with this game it is just packs, that with enough safe guards can be beaten. Don't feel like you are a disgrace to the world because the data didn't transfer. Also in your data conversion topic, most people said they are fine with restarting anyway. You aren't disappointing many people for something that you have had major trouble with.Hopefully this new version will be easy for you to work with and will make it loads easier on you, the old electron version make you sound like you were going to hell to do simple things.

What are you trying to do that it gives you an error for? The only errors that i know it would give are in alias and macros.I just noticed that I didn't completely fix the alias and macro error. So I have actually fixed it now. Also, I have noticed that the attirbutes should not have to be enabled or disabled, so I am removing that category from the options panel. If the sound path name is empty, it won't add the early, late, or achievement fail attribute. This will fix a bug where having early or late disabled wouldn't add the early and late attributes in containers that had them.I will fix this and see if there is anything else to fix and re-release version 8.5.

I just noticed that I didn't completely fix the alias and macro error. So I have actually fixed it now. NOt all games are meant to be. Yes, there is still a working version of both red spot and the killer. But just because it exists doesn't mean it is welcome or legal. Weed for example, murder for example. Way too far of examples but they are examples. If you really want to get your hands on a clone, which isn't worth it because they all end up shit, well start as shit and end as shit, then find a place that will allow such things, or people who like and/or develop such things. @18 You need to put the exe in the same folder as your pack. And that folder must have sounds in .ogg format. Otherwise it will give you an error. I will have it tell the user what the problem is so they know what to do, instead of it giving an error. And while I'm at it I will fix the annoying error when you first create an alias or macro. @18 So there are 2 different bgt errors I have noticed. If neither one of these is the one you are encountering, please explain more on the issue.first error: When you create your first alias or first macro, it will give you an error. When you open the program again, all of your data will be there. I know that bug is annoying, and I will look into it. I recently studied how to get rid of empty array errors like that one, so I should be able to fix it. But it does not delete any of your data. So just relaunch the program.second error: If you have 2 levels and you delete the second one, it will give you an error. This bug has been fixed in the next version. Sadly, you takes you back to the top of the list when you delete levels now, but the error is fixed, and I also fixed the bug where you would delete all levels and the menu would still be there with create new level as the only option.If neither one of these cases is where you encountered the error please explain in more detail what you were doing. Here's my closure for the beaten dead game. We all knew it was plagiarism from the first day. So here is my question to the 2016 forum moderators.Why did you let such activity as this one occur? Why was nothing done about this game being sold at a high price and being claimed as "original work"? No one told Aaron, hey dude, this is plagiarism. It's not right. Before you can release this game you have to admit that it is a clone and lower the price.Here's why this bothers me so much. We are a small community. And sometimes sighted game developers take a look at this forum to see how they can assist this community, or if this community will benefit and if they will benefit from accessibility in their game. So they come here and they see Manamon. They see 3 clones of tk, although the mods are cracking down on that issue, but cloning is still a hot persuit. They will see things like Manamon, plagiarism from a sighted game, and arrogance and money hungry so far that they claim it is original work. This is damaging to our reputation, majorly! So I don't understand why the forum, both mods and users in 2016 didn't tell Aaron he needed to fix some shit before he could release the game. I sincerely hope that the forum in 2019 will take better care of what is being distributed among the community. Maybe my hopes are too high. But we can not let another plagiarism like Manamon take place, no matter how good the quality is. Our reputation would be at risk for any sighted developer who finds it.

Because war is the answer to everything. Fun fact that war happened to be with the religion leader, therefore influencing religion starting wars and influencing murder of creatures. Fuck you religion!At the beach there is a high maximum security factory. But you can still walk up to it without getting gunned down? They think as long as he can't get in, no security needed, yet it's the most secret base of operations? Ok, ignoring logic again.And let's totally ignore how Octorous was able to use 9 manamon against you in a battle, and even if you won the same outcome happened, and by some luck he dropped one of his manamon. You have encounted this guy like 6 times, and you didn't stop to think, hey, there's a dangerous guy around this country, let's report him to police...Another thing I don't understand. How did the organization know Melony existed and what was the purpose of taking her? Oh, and while we are talking about siblings, what the fuck is the deal with your mom fucking Octorous? The fuck? Have you ever seen a single movie where the good guy and bad guy have a mom who fucked on both sides? And where is she in all of this? Now I need to know! It's been awhile since I've played, maybe they did mention her whereabouts or if she was dead. Just Octorous, leave the grandma alone! I don't even want to know her history of sex! Leave me out of it, don't tell me that story!One last complaint. Some of the maps are just like pokemon red and blue. Haven't played those games but several people I know have and they have told me they have noticed it.That's all my bashing, let's end this with 3 things I like about this game that made it stand out.Full party brawls. As Jade said, going against 5 or 6 manamon at once can be a challenge. I fell like the 3 biggest challenges were at the top of the volcano, near the top of the Tangerian tower, and near the top of shadow kingdom. Those battles were epic!The traps in the game are cool. There are so many different kinds. Electricity, fire, lasers, guards, and even time limits to different areas. I really like that. The time limits make the game much more interesting.The sound design and the music. Aaron Baker likes good sound design, and he does it well. And the music... He is one of the best people when it comes to music in his games. He puts a large variety, many different styles, and even has music change during cut scenes which not a lot of audio game developers do. He skills with an rpg game are really good. Well the writing portion not so much. I mean in Paladin of the sky, they are 20 feet away from a gun. Somehow at the last second Ross manages to shield Shuana and make them both doge. I learned in forensics that bullets travel 1200 feet per second, some guns even faster. You are 20 feet away. That's bareally a hundreth of a second to dodge, and he helped someone dodge, by moving in front of them. Completely ridiculous. On top of that, Simon gets shot in the shoulder and survives like nothing happened to him. What the hell man. Twenty feet away will kill no matter what part of the body was shot!That's my rant about manamon and then Paladin of the sky. A lot for Paladin, but this is a manamon topic.

It was completed because the storyline was prewritten... by Nintendo. I don’t know what braillemon is, but it sounds like an already existing game being modified. So that means trying to think of an original idea not done before, modifying a game to be accessible. Hard work to plan how to do it and also to emplament it. Assuming I am correct about braillemon

But manamon is very close to pokemon. Only 2 reasons he got away with it: 1; its a mainstream game but inaccessible. So now that there is an accessible one, this community has a reference to target the new game saying, we already have this. 2; no person or organization filed copyright on pokemon. Its a small community. If it was not, it would have likely been stepping on the trademark

Version 7 is released! You thought I couldn't reduce the effort even more? You were completely wrong.What's so great about version 7? For 1, custom sounds now support different sounds for press and hold actions. For 2, the options panel is remade. But the true value of version 7... is containers.What the hell are containers? They are what makes a level different from other levels. They are a set of sounds, that all change at once for a press or hold action. That means you don't have to switch each individual sound now, just hit semicolon or apostrophe and all of them are changed for you! You also get to name the containers, so you know exactly what soundset it is. Liked your new video. Two things.1: I sa that the status effects are based off of rounds. Can you add an option for timers? I know that a hero's call does timers.2: I noticed that the party's status effects wore off after the battle was over. Is there an option to keep them active after the battle? Of course this is again assuming they were running off of a timer in the first place adn there was extra time.Really good video great to hear from you again!

I have some news regarding version 7. It's not ready for release but it's in progress. I have figured out how to organize the version 7 concept and merge it with the custom sounds, But it is taking a lot of work, because I had to change the way it writes sound into the level, and I have to change the way custom sounds work. I've gotten far, but it is a long process. And I'm sure when it is released there will be several syntax or errors due to the changing of custom  sounds and writing sound files. But when version 7 comes out, it will be amazing. It will make the required effort of coding a level much less. You might be asking how could it get any more reduced? You will see what I'm talking about when version 7 is released. Until then, I'm working on it, it's going well but I'm having to take apart a few things to put together a better new one.
