This is going to be amazing, and mostly all people will be able to pay for the game, because Google Assistant is supported in many countries. Keep up the great job.

Re: Earwax Story Builder

Hi.I have read this topic with huge interest.I don't have much experience with Python, and I haven't tried the virtual invirement yet. I'm afraid to mess things up, but sounds like that's the point of a virtual invirement, that if you do mess things up, then it doesn't matter. So, for this reason, I should just give it a try to see if I can get it up and running.I have a few questions about Earwax:1. When playing a world, how do you navigate? Is it like a website, or is it menu based?2. Can I create a world in other languages than English as long as it's written in characters which Python supports?3. Can a compiled world be played on other platforms than Windows?I'm quite excited for this project.

I also think a game store is the way to go. I see an issue by having the game on a physical media. That would work if you could go in a shop and buy the games, but not when you have to send them to other countries across the globe. In some countries it is very expensive to send a package. So the cost of this might end up being more expensive than the game itself.

If not, then I don't mind releasing the project which people needs to open in the game maker program and click run to play the game. Yes, people can see how everything is made, but I don't care. I don't remember the website, but it should be easy to find on Google. Python: Let's discuss the pros and cons

Hi all.As some of you maybe know, I have tried to learn programming for more than 10 years, but always given up for a lot of reasons. I was really excited then BGT came, and I really did my best to read the manual, understand it all and give it a serious try. I don't know why, but I simply don't get the basics at all. The manual is very well written, some of the best I ever have seen, but there is something, maybe regarding to how the manual explains BGT or something about the language which I don't get. I have tried like 4 times, find it overwhelming and given up because of this.I have heard so many times that Python is a great programming language for a lot of things. I gave it a try some years ago, but at this time I was afraid to use the terminal on my Mac, so I didn't got very far. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, when I'm very busy with other things and there are a ton of other more important things which I really should take care of,
I got motivated to give Python a serious try once again. I come from knowing close to nothing about programming accept for a bit of Auto it and html, so I need to learn it from the very beginning. This is my background. now you might ask, what will I use it for? What kinds of programs do I have in mind?well, I'm interested in making games if I ever get good enough. I also wanna make small programs which communicates with other programs to make inaccessible things more accessible. I wanna make plugins to programs which might make them more accessible. I wanna make small teaching programs to train blind people in math, typing skills and other kind of training programs. If I'm not able to make some of this, then I hope I at leased will learn more about how programming works in generel. So, now my question: What are the pros and cons in Python? This question is both ment for beginners and for advanced programmers, who wanna develop something professionel and a
dvanced.I have looked at this tutorial:https://learnpythonthehardway.org/book/which is really good the way it is written, because it force you to write all the examples, it gives you hints to try something with your examples and tells you to figure out what it does and if you don't figure it out, it's not very important. It force you to learn by figuring some of the things out on your own in a really great way.Comments, opinions and thoughts would be very much appreciated. If there has been a simuler discussion previously, then please post a link.

Re: Good dedicated servers/vps?

Hi.I'll recommend Linux as well, even if you are running a server made in BGT.I'm still quite new to Linux, so for this reason, I chose linode.com which is not the cheepest, but they have some awesome tutorials and getting started articles. The support is fantastic, and they are really great even if you ask the most basic and stupid questions. I started to learn Linux back in december last year, and I started out by knowing close to 0 about Linux. Yes, Linux is a huge learning curve and there is a lot to learn. But if you need a server, this is the way to go, and it's all worth it. Just a half year ago, I never thought I would recommend Linux to someone. So, I managed to get BGT servers to work on Linux using Wine. No, it wasn't easy, but I manage to find a way to get things up and running. It both have good and bad sides, but if you have a stable
server which don't crash because of some bugs, you'll never get a more stable server than a Linux server.I would like to help you getting up and running  if you choose a Linux server, and if you don't wanna mess with Linux stuff, I'll offer you a host for a very cheep price on my server. Please send me a private mail through the forum if you're interested. Then we'll make a fair deal which is fair for everyone... I mean this seriously, and you won't be charged until you're sure you get what you need.

Hi and welcome to the forum. That sounds interesting. I currently don't have time to test the game, but I think you'll reach more people by posting in the generel games discussions room. I wish you good luck on the project, and I hope to hear more about it soon.

Hi.I'm not a coder myself. I have tried for many years but always given up. So I hope your project can help me to learn making something useful. I'm interested to try the demo. Sounds interesting that it's in 3D.Keep up the good job. I can't wait to see what comes out of this.

Re: Fund the Future of Accessible Gaming

4 years? Just, [[wow]]...You could maybe make a small game where you fly a helicopter, where other helicopters are flying around both above and below you to show what the project can do regarding to sounds. I don't know how difficult it'll be to make this, but I could imagine it being less difficult than coding a full FPS with maps and other stuff. I mean, the point is not to make a cool game, but rather a small game to demonstrate the sound. So no complex game like a FPS is needed, I think, but a small game where the sounds, or things are coming from all directions around you including above and below. The only thing I can think about is a helicopter. Or maybe more simple, a bird. A small game where you're flying a bird, and listening to all the sounds from the birds perspective. Sounds crazy, but why not? Lol.

Re: Fund the Future of Accessible Gaming

Hi.It sounds very interesting. I'm not a developer, and I have pretty much given up on learning to code. So it's kind of difficult for me to get an idea on how awesome this project is. I mean, it's fantastic that you've made the possibility of making 3D audio in games. But what if the developers won't use this for whatever reason? I'm not trying to say any bad things about the project. It's just kind of difficult for me to understand how great this project is and how easy it is to implement in games when I'm not a developer. It would be interesting to hear other developers thoughts on this.I have an suggestion: Would it be possible to make a small program with a few controls so people can play around with the tool and hear what it can do? That is, if people donate and the project succeed. Or can you make some great sound examples to show what people are getting if the goal is reached? I think that'll make people more excited
, and hopefully give people who aren't developers a better idea of what's possible with this thing.

Re: To all interested in audio game development - My Proposal, My Question

Hi Aaron.I have tried to learn some programming languages for more than 10 years, but have realized that I just don't get how it works... I simply find it very difficult to learn. Can you give a brief explanation on how the programming language for the console is going to be? It would be fantastic if people like me who find other programming languages difficult to learn might be able to make simple games for your console.
