urgent help needed with chrome and combo boxes

I am trying to take my proctored online test!I must use google chrome to take it. I can not cycle through the choices in the combo box which lets me choose my microphone and camera. I press enter and it just says expand collapse. How do I change the options on the combo box with NVDA running the latest version of firefox. Thank you all so much. This should not be so hard!!

The blind gamers website is also totally down!It says error 900 time out. Does anyone have any idea what happened. Did someone get hacked! I hope they are alright! I love using this addon.Thank you for any info you can provide. I hope this is only temporary and will return to normal operation.

What is that game I am thinking of?

It was being developed a while ago. It had buttons and was basically a text adventure, it also had sounds for the buttons and really good background music. It was on the computer only and I played the small beta. It was about the Nahility or something like that. Basically a syfy city that is under a force field outside which their is a presence which sometimes gets in to the city and touches the people within. It makes them less seign or something. The first task you got was helping organize a marathon and some small bombs were found in the process. It was a very short beta. You were a clone in that game and this was your first job streight out of the cloning center. I wish emails were working for forum posts!

Legend of the Jedi help with mapper and other issues.

I just started playing this mud and find it very engaging. It has all the different features I would want and great people who will help you out when you are new. The thing is it does not have a mapper. You can not type map and get directions to a room. This is solved for the sited people by a program which draws a map on the screen as they go along. How do most blind players on here get over this problem. The planets on LOTJ are huge and I am really new. Thank you for any help it is greatly appreciated.

what is the difference between the TCP IP address and the field that says address. their are also two port fields. this is in the IP address tab which is part of the setup for a new world. what do I put where, I found the numbers for LOTJ just do not know in what field they go.

alright got it to paste over and everything, how do I switch between input and output windows, it will not read the output window, it only reads it when it first comes up. Basically I can not switch to it and scroll the text to read what is being output. Thanks.

Seriously we all need to know how everything works so that their can be a final source for all narrator and Xbox questions. It would help us all very much and we would be so much less annoying haha. As for this game I believe the same should be done, a written guide from start to finish. I know this is a great deal of work so I will not pester yall with the same thing. Just when you get the time start working on it slowly, If we can all come together in a google doc the guide will be amazing, both for this game and for blind Xbox users.

how accessible is MUSHclient   and how can I improve the accessibility

I ask this because i just started playing LOTJ a mud which I found and some of you probably play on here. They use MUSHclient for the mapper and scripts and other such things which make the game much easier. Only having VIP mud on my computer I want to know how accessible MUSHclient  is. I already downloaded the one listed on the LOTJ site which is setup for their game and scripts. It was not accessible for me using NVDA. Has anyone had better luck and is their an addon for it? Is their a way to do the things MUSHclient  does with VIP mud and NVDA. I love LOTJ by the way and any tips for a better experience with a screen reader are welcome.

I would love to have this be a reality! It sounds amazing, however it is a major major undertaking. I would mean creating a totally new framework and new game mechanics and a server to host it all. Try to build on top of other frameworks and use systems people have already created. Building this would take too long. I would encourage you to retrofit something else that is already present. the development time and cost would be huge! Please use speech synthesis for all talking in game. It is extremely hard to replicate sound characteristics in a room especially one that is always changing. I wish you all the best! Hope you get this done!

thank you all for the info. I am aware that creating a game is probably one of the hardest things in the world. I have tried to learn BGT and yes it is very complicated. I did not mean to say that this is easy or that developers do not work hard. I just thought I would toss the idea out there. I know how hard you worked to create a basic game like that. Good to know you are learning programming. Thanks all for telling me about the folder exclusion idea.  Do you make your downloads all land on that folder. I know how to exclude but as soon as my computer finishes downloading it deletes my files before I put them in an excluded folder. have a good one and airships! for ever! lol

Does anyone know of a game that is like Red Spot but does not trigger

Just looking for a game where I can have some fun. I do not want to change all my security settings. I think someone should do a Red Spot cloan right, lol. Make it work without modification and balance the power of the weapons. Make it all steampunk themed and find some new awesome weapon sounds! Put in Airships and you got yourself a great game!

having a problem getting this program to run. It keep cycling through the update info. It tells me what is new in the versions but then I press enter. It does not go in to the menu just starts the info again! Please let me know what to do. I just installed it.

as of the latest update NVDA does not work with VIP Mud. It is not working for me at least. It just makes notification sounds when you tab around and NVDA tried to modify the script parser buffer file, what ever that is for my cosmic rage character. I did not save anything.

Looking for a cool new Steampunk audio game!

I have always been interested in this budding new genre.  It is growing very quickly and the community is very receptive to change and new ideas. I was sitting at my computer and considering how different a world powered by steam might be. Just the sounds alone are worth exploring. A steam engine has a very distinctive sound which you never forget. This train of thought took me to the obvious conclusion.     Are there any steampunk audio games out there?  Anything that is accessible and playable so that I can enjoy and immerse myself in this great genre.  I would even be willing to support the development of a game like this. I have always considered it one of the more thrilling possibilities for audio games and mainstream gaming in general.      My question still stands and I would be grateful for any suggestions which you all could provide.  I also have an idea for an airship simulator. We now have an accessible flight s
 imulator why not one with airships? My final idea and perhaps one of the loftiest would be an adaption of Papa Sangre. I believe a steampunk version of this game would be amazing. Put in a steam gage and change the sounds. It would make history with its awesomeness.

installer  for BK III please

I tried to install BK III from the link provided in the games list for this website. It only installed a file called data and I can not find the  . e x e file to click on to start the game. I have the JGT MVDA addon working well with dreamy train  simulator so that is not a problem. Please someone tell me how to get BK III. thank you and this is probably a really easy question but I thought I would still ask it.
