There is also one for beating downloads without using your laser, maxing your stats (250 attack / defense and 1 health), taking certain amounts of damage from "foolish name" items, getting certain amounts of bits (I believe there is one for 50), beating rusty on various difficulty mods, and beating most of the levels within a certain time range. Part 1 of the fight is fine because I can just grab the invinsability items to stop him from killing me but part 2 I find a bit more challenging because of having to dodge all the obsticles he throws at you as well as timing your attacks on him, otherwise, I really enjoyed it when was playing the game. To all who want the password, I'm not going to post it here, but if you PM me with the reason you need the password, I might PM it to you with the understanding that you don't give it out willy-nilly.I don't want countless dirivitives of Remnant floating around that could tarnish its intent to educate people on how the stage builder works.To the person that originally started the password discussion, what "good part" of chapter 1 are you referring to, and do you have your difficulty mod set to off?Pressing F will tell you if it's off, or what level it is set at.As I said in post 1 of this topic, remnant is NOT built to use the dif mod setting, and if you do use it, not more than a mod of 2.If you turn it off and still have the problem, please post a recording somewhere with a link to it in this topic so I can address the problem; either on your end, or with a patch for all players.I sot out some people to play the final version and note any issues they found before release, but they ducked out, so I had no choice to release it as is.Debugging is vary hard when you're a 1-person team, so any feedback would be helpful so I might address any issues I can.I ran Remnant a while back to test it for bugs, and then again at the request of Dark and his wife who do voice acting in it, and fixed and patch any bugs I found during those test cycles.For proper test results, I need people who'll play it without dif mod active so I can make proper balance adjustments as needed.BTW, some of the platforms in the castle of lies are trick platforms, meaning they don't actually exist.You'll need to jump to the next platform that is actually solid.Later! Re: Adventure At C: You're 'gunna need really high stats for this, as you'll need to be able to kill viruses in one or two hits at most.This will also help with the boss, as you can just kill it outright without having to worry about the bombs it spawns.One last tip,, it doesn't matter how fast you play the song, it'll still count; even if you get a note or two wrong!You can't really do much about the capcha portion except get it right the first time.Just skip all the text you're given as well, that'll save lots of time; depending on how fast your synth talks...Also skip the song preview.Later! Debug isn't something you want to ever do.It lets you do things like unlock all stages and generate lots of bits, things like that.But it also makes you a cheater and makes the game unplayable.You can't use the stage builder, the shop, or really anything else because you're so rood and disrespectfull to the developer and other players that do things the right way by cheating that the game basically locks you down and you can't ever undo it unless you restart your entire save file.I know it does this because I used it to test an exploit a while back.Later! Hey fox, if you're in the editing mode of Your stage, that is, the mode where you can press F5 to switch between Builder mode and play test mode, the end of Level doesn't work.This is because if you were building a really big or eppic stage, like Remnant, for example, , and you accidentally stepped on the end of level square, EG, when testing out a boss at the end of the Level, you would get the congratulations! Level complete message, and you would be sent back to the in between levels area. Now you'd have to start building your stage all over again. Yeah, frustrating, right? That's why it doesn't work when you're in editing mode.If you're in playing mode, however, I don't know what is wrong. That way people have goals to strive for all the time, and Microsoft already does this on their games, even the upcoming Brain Station does this. Cyclepath as well. Thing is when you currently unlock something it doesn't tell you if it's stage builder related or not.This will allow people to discover things and come up with ideas on what to do next to achieve their next unlockable.Idea 2: have more unlocked from the start: less discovery, but maybe more stages might get createdI'm wondering if, once the game is beaten, stuff like custom viruses should be unlocked from the start, because stuff like difficulty mod wasn't necessarily a thing I'd think about.conclusionThe more I think about it, I think the first idea would be awesome because it promotes discovery and always gives people a goal to strive for, because the second idea might not make people play as much and discover as much.edit: is there possibly a better way to separate out these ideas apart from headings, as I know people use headings to jump from post to post on the forum, including me, haha. I wouldn't exactly call it a hack, it's a clever little something and I don't know what the word is I am looking for. But it effectively made the game have a little UI for a few seconds, very clever. It kind of reminds me of the interactive fiction archive and some projects I found there, because sometimes, people did what was weirdly called a-machine abuse where they made ascii games using inform which was quite clever as well because it was just totally unexpected, although, I don't know why they'd call it an abuse, that doesn't make sense, I always found stuff like that clever when people think outside the box.
