I know the language (and have a local copy of a dictionary to refer back to if I need it), so I should be able to do so. I know that Latin is not a very popular language any more and that it may not be used that much, but I feel that having such an ancient language around... well, people might find some use for it. But, what really happened was that the newest version got released without the template being updated, so that's the reason for not all the text strings are updated in the game. But don't worry. We hold a really nice meeting in the beta testing group yesterday, which means we got things organized much better, which will mean a lot for all both inside the group, the translators and all people who are playing the game. I'm currently working on a new and much more improved way regarding to the translation, which I'll write an update about here in the topic as soon as possible. I'll create a Dropbox folder, but before I do that, I need to have it all organized, talk to the others in the beta testing group about it and then I'm ready to make it public. Then, I'm also working on getting a list of all your translators information to keep things more organized, and to get a way of contacting you all if needed. More on that later on. I'm currently busy because of some private things going on in my life and family, which is taking most of my time currently. That's mostly to keep the names short, but also to help people who aren't good at english to recognize their own language. Am I right that the letters for the Serbian language is RS? If you don't understand the instructions and you can't get someone from Thailand who is better at english to explain to you what to do, then I can't use you as the translator. I really hate to say this, but that's the trooth.I'm not sure on what you have done with the file, but there are two issues: 1: The file doesn't know what language you are translating the strings into. 2: You have not translated the new strings but only the old strings. That means if your file is implemented in the game at the moment, the new strings will still be in english. In other words: Your file is useless, and you can't use this to update the translations in the future.The issue is that you are not asking me for any help. I can update the file with the new strings for you if needed, but if I have to do that with every language file, then it's going to require a lot of work. Therefore I have written some instructions on how to do it, and I don't know how to improve those instructions. So please tell me, do you need any help? Thanks for the updated version.Regarding Portuguese, I got told that it could just be named Portuguese without Brazil, so I have changed that. Do not edit the strings there are in most cases are at the left of the equal sign = and keep every single quote at its original position.2. Only do this at your own risc and if you have worked with translations before. It actually isn't that hard if you have translated apps for Android or iOS. If you have, then you are good to go.For me a good reason would be that I can work on the .po file if I use a notetaker when I am away from my desktop at my home...Oh, one last thing that might be very important:If you edit the file on a notetaker you MUST save it as UTF8 to make sure that all characters are shown correctly.I don't know how you can make the .mo file, but I s uppose you can open your file again in Poedit and then compile it from there.Haven't tested this though.And thank you so much, Manuel for explaning some goodies regarding PO-files along with the exelent documentation SLJ made in this topic. I didn't know there was such a huge difference between the .po file and the .pot file.I noticed that the readme I linked to in the first post properly wasn't good enough, since some people have done the translation wrong, which properly was because the instructions wasn't clear enough.So, I took the time to update the first post with a, hopefully, more understandable instructions to make it more clear on how to translate the strings.Thanks a ton to Manuel for being awesome, and help me figuring out what causes those issues people are having. Re: Lets translate Undead Assault into your language Hello everyone, some tips for translations, useful if you are starting a new one:When you have the pot file in your downloads folder or something like that, you don't need to change its extension to .po and start with that file. This file is a translation template, not a catalog. For the gettext's perspective, a template is different than a catalog and you not should use these in the same way. You can do it, but it may contain errors later.Open poedit from the start menu, go to the file menu in the menu bar and press in new, or press Control N. You will see a dialogue where you have to choose the language for the translation. Then press OK. Then press Tab and you will heard something like "Update from a POT file" or something like that. Press enter there, and look for the pot file that you have downloaded and press enter there. it will create a new translation catalog, and you will be able to start the job.
