You might want to try making some comparisons between AlienBBC/Softsqueeze on your PC vs. listening to the same stations directly using WMP or Real or whatever you have. It may well be that the poor quality is all you are going to get - your download bandwidth, your ISP, and the BBCs upload are

In terms of the BBC - I think the internet services were set up as a replacement for SW and before DAB for users where FM was poor and only received LW/MW. As a side issues - the encodings of the Listen Again programs are different to the live streams. -- bpa

Gosh, so many differences. First of all, I think Inguz is a huge step in the right direction. I've read and re-read the literature and I applaud the developers for having a great idea an executing it. A few downsides. It is a bit limited, a bit complex, and it is a Windows only application.
