Abrahamsen of Norway uses this in their new cd player, not sure about
their separate dac though.

How do I disable 802.11g so that the wifi radio isn't trying to
transmit/receive?

I believe that simply using Ethernet disables the Wifi, you can hear
that click, I hope that's the Wifi, don't laugh if I'm off base with
the click :)
And remove the antennas.

Ron, good work, seems you are on the right track.
Youre just doing low pass filtering, right?
So the stream will still be 96 khz?
Would it be possible to add a -r 48000 argument to do resampling as
well?

Thanks Veggen,
Yes, I am still streaming at 96 KHz.

Sounds good.
Yes I agree resampling to 48kHz using sox makes more sense, eases the
load both on the network and the SB
Also I suppose the convert.conf rule will affect all flac files, also
the 44.1 and 48kHz ones?
Wondering if there is a way to have the rule active for 96 kHz (and
maybe 88.2khz)
Hi again,
I've received the new PS today (see recent post). Initial testing:
- Improved the analogue out, more dynamics and refinement.
- Improved the digital out but only slightly, more dynamics and
refinement.
The latter sounds better in my set up.
I still hear a difference between the

The click is a power relay, nothing to do with wifi. Wifi disable is

I would bet that I heard the click when switching wired/wireless, not
just on turning on, please confirm.

I'm very sceptical of this since I just did an experiment by

Phil,

No offence taken. It is difficult to tell what is better sometimes. I
think it can depend on the rest of your system.
In a nutshell, the SB3 sounds a tad more shouty and the Monarchy

Last night 1 of my Amperex 6922 tubes went bad and needs to be replaced.
So I'm stuck with using these cheap Sovtek 6922s as a replacement - a
temporary measure let's hope - for my Kora Hermes DAC.
It's been a while since I last shopped around for these tubes and alas,
came to a realization

The power solution is staged and a good design takes the initial stage
into consideration.
If you bought a Porche would you pull the motor and put in a ferrari
engine?
I've been happy using regular ElectroHarmonix 6922 tubes in my preamp
and hybrid amp. Definitely smoother and more refined than the Sovteks,
and still only about $12/each. You can spend a little more and get the
gold-pin version for a slightly warmer and richer tone...
